JET 24 LIVE from Differ Ariake
Recap of JET23 is up with the announcements from Yoko Kudo about the Sakura Blooming double main event featuring Ai Moe vs. Amy Slayton and Midori Miyamoto set to defend her JET World Championship against Mitra Marvel and Mizuki Nakata. The recap moves on to the matches with the focus being the main event and what happened after the match. Midori Miyamoto and Mizuki Nakata even though they are friends, they stared down with the intention of telling the other to prepare themself. "Reimei" by Sayuri and My First Story plays as we’re live from the amazing Differ Ariake. We cut to our commentators who are ready to go for tonight’s show.
Maki Fujioka: This is it! The final show before Sakura Blooming is here! Hello there Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m your lead commentator for JET Maki Fujioka and as always, I’m joined by my broadcast partner, Asuka Kuramochi!
Asuka: We’ve got a huge night set for tonight! A massive main event match up and even the JET World Champion is here tonight to give her thoughts.
Lynch’s “Ashes” begins to play throughout the arena. Midori Miyamoto makes her way out from the back after about twenty seconds have passed. The JET World Championship is proudly fastened to her waist as she walks to the ring. After wiping her shoes, Midori climbs the steps and enters through the ropes. A couple of seconds pass before she’s given a microphone.
Midori Miyamoto: Good evening everyone.
Her Japanese is just as raspby as her English.
Midori Miyamoto: First and foremost, I want to say thank you for coming to the show this evening. It certainly means a lot to me; it also means a lot to everyone else in the back. You all are JET’s lifeline.
Her words elicit a number of claps from the fans. Midori uses that time to think about what she wants to say.
Midori Miyamoto: The last time you all saw me, I was going to war against KAGUYA. And truth be told, that was a war that a bunch of people thought I couldn’t win. KAGUYA had always fought tooth and nail to defend the JET World Championship; that’s a fact. But it’s also a fact that she didn’t defend this belt with integrity. KAGUYA’s reign was comprised of deception, oppression, and heinous actions…
A small smirk comes to Midori’s face.
Midori Miyamoto: However, you don’t have to worry about that any longer.
She nods her head.
Midori Miyamoto: I’m not KAGUYA. I’m not going to put my boot on the neck of this promotion. Never that. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again―my goal as JET World Champion is to help the company grow to new heights. My match at Sakura Blooming will be the first step.
Midori takes a moment to gather her thoughts.
Midori Miyamoto: I have the honor of facing Mirta Marvel and Mizuki. Two people that I know fairly well.
There is a moment’s pause.
Midori Miyamoto: I defeated Mirta in the finals of the Biggest Dreamers Tournament, the very tournament that allowed me to challenge for the world championship. She tested it me, that’s for certain. However, I passed that test and advanced.
Midori Miyamoto: And of course, there’s Mizuki. We were teammates. We stood up and fought against KAGUYA-Gun together. We became champions together―
There’s a pause.
Midori Miyamoto: Mizuki, do you remember what you told me when our trio split up? You told me to go be great. You told me to me show JET why I was the future. Well, I did just that. Now? Now it’s time to show you that I am great.
She nodded her head.
Midori Miyamoto: You and Mirta are awesome competitors; no one can deny that. You two are going to come at me with everything that you’ve got; as you should. And me? I’m going to come at you both with all my might. I’m going to come at you with the same ferocity that earned me the JET World Championship in the first place…
Midori Miyamoto: That’s what you two deserve.

Opening Contest/Six-Women Tag Match: Natsu Toyama, Momoko Honda and Spring TORA vs. Wolfegang Symphony and Vanessa Santiago.
Tonight’s opening contest saw a fast-paced six-women tag match between Spring TORA, Natsu Toyama and Momoko Honda. Frequent partners, Honda and Toyama took it to Wolfegang Symphony who eliminated them from the tag team championship tournament. All six women went out and stole the show early with fast paced action. The finish of the match saw Santiago taking advantage of Wolfegang Symphony dealing with Natsu and Momoko as she hit Spring TORA with the Cuban Missile Crisis and pinned the young girl for the win.
(Winners - Vanessa Santiago and Wolfegang Symphony)
Post-Match: After the match, we cut to the interview area as Momoko Honda talks about wanting to move up and compete for the Academy Championship and wanting to face Vanessa Santiago in a singles match. Meanwhile Natsu Toyama was looking to capture her first JET Championship in over two year, citing that she wanted to become champion either at the Goddess Dream event or head into the event as champion.
Meanwhile for Santiago’s interview, she was told about Momoko Honda wanting to face her and said she would gladly her challenge, calling her a small child who needs to learn her place.
The camera quickly cuts to an interview area where both JET Tag Team Champions, Rio Kurokawa and Tomoyo Hirate are seated with their titles. Kurokawa was the first of the two to speaking, talking about how JET23 was first defense as tag team champions, believing that Rockford and Kagura were no challenge at all. Hirate was next to speak, stating that their want to be champion and it doesn’t matter who is sent at them. The stoic champs soon rose up from their seats as they leave the interview area.
Semi-Main/Singles Match: Megan Enders vs. Hanna Rockford
Both women’s tenure in JET hasn’t been the best one but one win can definitely turn it around. Hanna was on the attack first and didn’t seem to let up at all in the early goings of this match. Megan was struggling to get going and her opponent was making sure that she was gonna make it easy. Unfortunately one misstep from Hanna almost cost her the match, with Enders making a fiery comeback. Rockford was able to recover with an Eternal Darkness Knee! Enders was out cold as Rockford soon sealed the deal with a Kiss Of Death (Panama Sunrise)!! Rockford with a cover is able to seal the match for herself and gets a big win to recover from her recent failures.
(Winner - Hanna Rockford)
We soon cut to a Machiko Hasegawa ready to go with the main event, she gives her thoughts about the match and more importantly talks about IZM and what the deal has been. Hasegawa talked about one thing and that was how similar the two of them are. Machiko has to know if who’s fighting spirit is greater and the only way she believes that her question will be answered is if she faces IZM one-on-one. Machiko soon takes her leave as the main event is about to start after this short intermission!
Main Event/Six-Women Tag Team Match: Mitra Marvel, Machiko Hasegawa and Amy Slayton vs. Mizuki Nakata, IZM and Ai Moe
Tonight’s main event saw a preview for the two major matches at Sakura Blooming, minus the JET World Champion. Mitra Marvel started the match against Mizuki Nakata as the two of them resumed from where they left off at Lethal Takeover. As the first tag came in, it was IZM and Machiko Hasegawa. The two women squared off with neither giving the other an inch. The crowd in support of both the two young women. Soon the tide turned in the favor of Machiko as her strikes got more powerful all of a sudden.
Both women after using too much energy are down and are looking to make a tag to any of the partners available! A tag is made to Amy by Machiko and Ai Moe is in as well for her team. The champion and challenger for Sakura Blooming’s Academy Championship match go at it. Both women giving their all as Amy attempts to end it early with a Devil’s Dance but Ai Moe slips out of the move and hits a cross-arm German Suplex for a close two count.
The finish of the match arrives after a long 20 minute battle. The finish saw IZM and Machiko go at it one more time, Machiko is able to land a massive German Suplex and was looking to end it with a HASEGAWA LARIAT but IZM was able to catch the move and take down the New Burning Spirit with a HUGE Uranage. With her partners dealing with Machiko’s teammates, it was time for the Forever Roaring Lariat! The High-Impact Western Lariat connected as IZM pinned Machiko Hasegawa clean in the ring.
(Winners - IZM, Mizuki Nakata, and Ai Moe)
As “Make My Story” plays, we soon see IZM holding a mic in her hand as the music dies down. Machiko is being helped by her tag partners.
IZM: Hasegawa-San! I would like to say something to you before you leave!
Machiko stops as she turns around still holding her neck and the ice pack.
IZM: It seems you have a quest to prove that no one in JET and probably in this entire wrestling world can match your burning spirit. We have a lot in common and I think I’ve found one more thing in common with you. You said you wanted to face me one-on-one in a match to show that your spirit burns brighter. How about we have that match? But I don’t think settling this desire of yours on a random episode of JET is enough. How about you vs. me at Sakura Blooming with the entirety of Yokohama Bunka Gymnasium in attendance to see us face one another?
The crowd in Differ Ariake explode in cheers for the challenge sent by IZM to Machiko as the New Burning Spirit simply says yes before taking her leave.
IZM: Well I guess there you have it! Now this is the first time in my career that I’ve got the chance to close a show, usually it’s one of my two partners or someone else but all I have to say to everyone in attendance is thank you for being here! Thank you all for showing your love for JET and please continue to show that love when we head to the Yokohama Bunka Gym for Sakura Blooming! We hope to see all of you there! Last thing I can say is for all of you guys to keep helping us show why JET is the best!!
"Make My Story" plays one more time as we cut to the commentary table as both Maki and Asuka Kuramochi.
Asuka Kuramochi: Did you hear that Maki-san?! We're going to be getting IZM vs. Machiko Hasegawa at Sakura Blooming! Two women who are able to bring the house down with their raw strength and fighting spirit! I can't wait for June 29th to arrive!
Maki Fujioka: Neither can I, Asuka! For now, we have to sign off but the next time you will hear from us is at Yokohama Bunka Gym on the 29th for Sakura Blooming! Till then, I hope all of our fans have a great! This is Maki Fujioka signing off both myself and Asuka!
IZM, Mizuki Nakata and Ai Moe stand together in the ring. The Chosen One seems to be impressed with the young star’s words as she ruffles her hair. The final shot of the show is all three women posing on different turnbuckles.
