Episode 22: The Sweetest Winter
(COLD OPEN: The camera opens to the interior of the LAW Arena where Madam Vega is standing in the center of the ring.)
Madam Vega: Please welcome the new majority owner of LAW...Marilyn Bellamy!
Melissa Flash/Kat Ricci: What!?
(“We’re Not Gonna Take it” by Twisted Sister plays as a tattooed blonde woman wearing a gray dress walks out to a huge ovation. Happy that the fans remember who she is, the new owner waves her hand as she walks to the ring.)
Kat Ricci: It’s Marilyn Bellamy! She’s a 3x time Lethal Angel Champion! 2x Neo Joshi Champion! 1x Lethal Tag Team Champion! The ORIGINAL face of LAW is here!
Melissa Flash: (laughs) Took the words right out of my mouth, Kat. Don’t forget the FIRST ever LAW Champion! Miss USA herself has been revealed to be LAW’s newest benefactor! The dirt sheets hinted that the owner may be someone who wrestled for the company, but I didn’t realize that it was Marilyn!
(Marilyn climbs into the ring and takes the mic from a respectful London Morris.)
Marilyn Bellamy: (beaming) Never thought I would be able to say this again but...WHAT’S UP LAW!?
(The crowd cheers in response)
Marilyn Bellamy: When the Ava Sisters approached me and offered to sell the company, I was shocked. They were doing a terrific job reviving the brand alongside its sister promotion JET, so why sell the company? It turns out they have obligations at their current promotion, which is something I can understand. When you love something you want to put you all into it, but there are limits. For Cameron and Consuela they have responsibilities elsewhere. As for me, I welcome the chance to come back and pick up from where those wonderful young women has left off!
(The crowd cheers as Marilyn grins at Vega.)
Marilyn Bellamy: I must say - it’s kind of interesting working side by side with one of my greatest rivals. You and I have much work to do, my dear. You’ve done a fantastic job so far and I think we can take things to the next level.
(Marilyn turns back to the crowd)
Marilyn Bellamy: Like for instance, the next big show we have planned after Homecoming will be announced during Homecoming. It’s quite possibly the biggest announcement this season! Also, we have projects coming out on the Alliance Network such as the ‘Queens of the Ring” series, as well as “The Industry” a documentary series produced by Wrestling United, a partner of the IJWF. There’s also one more important thing to announce. Starting after Homecoming...Monday Night LAW will become THURSDAY NIGHT LAW! This was the original incarnation’s day and would like to pay homage while moving forward! As for the matches at Homecoming - Madam Vega will be handling that. I don’t wish to step on her toes after all.
(Marilyn smiles)
Marilyn Bellamy: I don’t wish to take up anyone’s time, so enjoy the show ladies and gentlemen and by the end of tonight everybody will know what to expect at LAW: Homecoming!
(“We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister plays as Marilyn waves at the fans and leaves the ring.)
Melissa Flash: What an incredible announcement made by our new owner, LAW’s First Lady, Miss USA!
Kat Ricci: I wasn’t even a thought in my mother’s brain when she first hit the scene. I was only a little girl when I witnessed the last few years of her career. But now, I get to work alongside her!
Melissa Flash: Marilyn was pretty much my inspiration coming into this business. Now let’s cut to the first match of the evening!
Singles Match: Olga Petrov vs Tiffany Santana
(“Starboy” by the Weekend starts to play as the Russian-born MMA wrestler quickly runs down to the ring, barely giving Natasha time to get out of the ring as she charges in and quickly takes down a charging Tiffany with a Thesz press and starts laying into her with heavy lefts and rights into the face of Santana who throws her arms up quickly to block as many blows as she could before the ref finally forces Olga off of Santana who quickly escapes under the bottom rope)Kat: Damn, it looks like Olga is looking for a quick victory here tonight.
Melissa: I’m just glad that Paige thee was able to help break up that attack.
Kat: Alright, Satana is back into the ring and Olga is going in for another quick take down but this time the OWA standout ducks around a takedown attempt and she quickly manages to catch one of Olga’s arms and uses Olga’s own momentum to quickly shift into a cravate!!
(Tiffany gets a very angry look on her face as she starts to slam her right knee into Olga’s face a couple of times before she manages to pull the lighter wrestler down before she quickly lands one more knee strike to Olga’s face before she transitions herself into a different position by wrapping her legs around Olga’s neck and then starting to hit a series of push up facebusters)
Kat: I’ll give Santana one thing, she’s doing everything in her power to keep Olga off balance and that’s a good thing because the moment that the Moscow native gets a chance..
(Before Kat can even finish her thought, Santana gets a little bit sassy with her actions and that in turn allows Olga an opening as the “Russian Amazon” forces herself up, effectively deadlifting the slightly heavier Santana up with her before driving the Queens native had into the mat with a kind of hybrid inverted German suplex that causes Santana’s head to bounce off of the mat twice as her legs release Olga’s neck!)
Melissa/Kat: DAMN!!
(As the ref goes to check on Santana, Olga quickly moves over and locks in the Kimura and cinches it in tightly as the ref checks Santana and then calls for the bell)
London Morris: The winner of your match by way of submission, OLGA PETROV!!!!
(Even as “Starboy” plays over the speakers, Olga has her Kimura cinched in tightly to the point where the ref is trying to break it a couple of times before finally Olga relents and pushes herself away with an obvious disgusted look from Santana before she rolls out of the ring)
Kat: Now that was a quick and brutal match by two up and comers…
Melissa: Kat, hold on a second...Olga has a mic.
(Olga has snatched the mic away from Maria as she quickly gets back into the ring and motions at Santana who is slowly being helped out of the ring by ringside officials)
Olga: Good, now get that worthless 'suka out of my ring!!" Olga snaps in a very harsh tone as she starts to pace around the ring like a cage animal. "I have been patient with Vega to bring me some real challenges but instead I continue to be shoved all of these little pieces of derr' mo!! And I refuse to leave this ring until someone decides to stand up and face me in a proper fight at Homecoming!!
(And then suddenly the opening chords of Breaking Benjamin’s “I will not bow” begins to play as a woman appears at the top of the entrance way with a broad, cocky smile on her face as she laughs for a moment as the crowds greets her with some cheers before she slowly made her way down to the ring, quickly sliding under the bottom ropes before moving to stand in front of Olga)
Melissa: And now who is she?
Kat: I think that’s Carla Luna, she’s a recent signee with LAW!! But what is she doing here?
(The smile on Carla’s face doesn’t disappear as she starts to jaw with Olga for a moment before she seemingly asks for Olga’s mic but when Olga goes to hand it over in a mocking way, Carla quickly unloads with two very stiff knife edged chops into Olga’s chest before grabbing a hold of her and quickly slamming her to the mat with an Exploder suplex that she floats over and rotates it into a seated Fujiwara Armbar that she quickly torques Olga’s left arm back as hard as she can)
Kat: A pretty impress takedown by a woman known as "The Hit Girl!"
Melissa: No joking there, Kat. My only question now is what going to happen next?
(Carla releases the armbar and quickly rolls out of the ring, grabbing up the dropped mic as she goes)
“Olga...accepted.” is the only thing that Carla says as her theme keys back to life as she makes her way back up the ramp with that same cocky and confident smile on her face as Olga glares hard at the red-haired newcomer.
Backstage
(We see The Sakaraba Sisters - Rina and Yuki - called into Madam Vega’s office. Both sisters have their Lethal Tag Team Championships hanging off their shoulders. Vega invites them to sit down and they oblige.)
Madam Vega: Thank you for coming today. I wanted to discuss some things in regard to your next title defense.
Rina Sakaraba: Last we checked, the Dynamic Duo issued a challenge to us.
Yuki Sakaraba: (nods) One that we want to accept.
Madam Vega: I guess you’re a couple of mind readers huh? Jocelyn Sky and Serenity Scorpio will be your next opponents.
Rina Sakaraba: Are they here tonight?
Madam Vega: Not tonight. In fact, they’re getting battle-ready over at WWH. Believe me when I say they will be more than a handful.
Yuki Sakaraba: We dethroned Sweet Winters and held our own a second time. We’ll be ready for The Dynamic Duo.
Madam Vega: (nods) Good answer. I’ll see you, ladies, later.
(Both sisters nod and leave the office)
Segment
(The camera opens to an empty school hallway. As the camera moves down the hall, you can see a glimpse of empty classrooms as. Eventually, we arrive at the twin doors of a gymnasium “Sadie Hawkins” by Relient K begins to play as the doors open, revealing six groups of two women standing in darkness. A spotlight falls upon the first group: Kimiko Kumiko & Cassidy Vega.)
Kimiko Kumiko: Welcome to the dance.
Cassidy Vega: On June 30th, we’ll be the queens of the prom.
(A second spotlight reveals “Big Sexy” Santana & Jessica Hendrix)
Santana: We’ve been killing it in the ring. There’s nobody who deserves a shot more than us.
Jessica Hendrix: And soon we’ll show you why.
(A third spotlight reveals Mikela Juhasz & Ruby Auriel)
Mikela Juhasz: We have the most experience as a team in this match. Throwing these other women out of the ring won’t be a problem.

Evelyn Bennett: Strange bedfellows? Sure. But, we’re walking out of Homecoming with a title shot!
Tiffany Santana: (smiles) Hi. Miss me? Doesn’t matter. What matters is being the last one standing.
(The camera zooms back showing all six teams. As the camera fades to black, the following appears phrases appear..)
‘SIX TEAMS ENTER…’
‘ONE TEAM LEAVES…’
‘WHO WILL SURVIVE THE DANCE?’
Singles Match: Ruby Auriel vs Revy w/ April Song on Commentary
April Song joined the broadcast crew just moments before the match got underway. Revy, who has been petitioning for a Lethal Specialists title challenge, made a show of gesturing towards April and the title before she had to concentrate on the task at hand. The “First Lady of Florida” got off to a fast start, flummoxing Revy and getting a vocal crowd behind her a bit. Revy was able to get herself up and tried to build momentum with a Running Lariat, only for Aubriel to take her down with at Thesz Press and start laying away with vicious punches and forearms. Revy manages to make her way out from underneath by grabbing her opponent and biting her across the nose until she managed to take control of the match, locking in a Boston Crab after gathering herself and administering a few vicious stomps to Ruby’s back.
Kat Ricci: April, this is the kind of patented Revy offense we have come to expect. She’s dirty, vicious and wild but effective!
April Song: Yep. She’s always been quite unpredictable but I think one of the things that people take for granted when it comes to her is how sound technically she can be. Of course she got there by trying to eat poor Ruby’s face, but she’s there nevertheless.
Melissa Flash: April, we know that Revy has requested a title match from you but I do have to ask: are you willing to risk your title against an opponent like this?
April Song: I have no comment on that right now. I’m just here to call the match and offer what insight I can.
After an intense struggle, Ruby was finally able to make it to the ropes and save the match. The damage had already been done, however, as Revy continued to assault Auriel’s back and left knee before landing the Axe Kick for a near fall. She tried once more to lock in a boston crab but Ruby managed to get up to a vertical base and, gutting through the pain, landed a flurry of offense including a Flying Headcissors, Atomic Drop and her patented Auriel Special (Backdrop Driver). The crowd were on their feet as she scored a near fall that was insanely close to a three count and what most would consider a massive upset victory.
Melissa Flash: OH MY GOODNESS! SO CLOSE!
Kat Ricci: Ruby looking over towards our referee just to see if she was sure, but she nods her head and holds up two fingers.
April Song: She has to stay focused. Revy is tough and also extremely opportunistic. If you give her room to breathe, she will take advantage!
Ruby tried to heed April’s advice, preparing for a running big boot as Revy struggled to get to her feet. The “Number One Stunna” dodged the Big Boot and landed her Shooting Peach (Charging Hip Attack). Wasting little time, she immediately went for her SOL (STF hold), locking it in tightly on Ruby who was too far from the ropes to break, forcing her to tap out and give Revy the victory.
Kat Ricci: Uh, April, where are you going!?
Melissa Flash: April’s requested a microphone and joined Revy in the ring, her Specialists Championship belt in tow.
April Song: Well done. You’ve been asking for a shot at this, right? You know what, I appreciate the fact that you haven’t tried to kill me when going for this title. Hell, you came bearing gifts even to challenge me for it. So I’ve talked to Madam Vega and the new brass and I have my own gift for you. At Homecoming…..YOU...AND ME…..FOR THIS!
(April holds out her belt as the crowd cheers for the announcement.)
Kat Ricci: April vs Revy for the Specialists Championship at Homecoming! WOW!
Melissa Flash: April said that she wasn’t going to duck anyone and she’s agreed to face arguably her most dangerous opposition to date because of how familiar Revy is with her style.
April Song: The gifts have to stop there, though. As much as I like you and I’m happy you want to challenge for this belt, you can’t just have it. You see, I’ve got plans for this little beauty right here and the biggest part of that plan is keeping it around my slender waist until I get some company to join it...like the LAW Championship. My goal since the year started is to hold both titles and be LAW’s unquestioned Ace. And you can’t get in the way of that. I love ya, but at Homecoming you will JUST...TAP….
(the crowd gasps in shock as Revy covers the microphone, glaring at April as the champion manages a smirk)
Kat Ricci: She wouldn’t let her finish one of her catchphrases.
Revy: You’re cool for giving me this title shot, but you’re going to get your ass kicked. You know that, right? I’ve scratched and clawed just to get on this roster and now that I’m presented a shiny opportunity like this one, I’m gonna take it...by taking you out. Comprende?
April Song: Well I guess we’ll just see at Homecoming, won’t we?
(The two women stand face to face for a moment before April pulls back, holding her Specialists title out with both hands, daring Revy to touch it. As soon as Revy reaches for it, April pulls it out of her grasp like a greedy, petulant child.)
Melissa Flash: The Specialists Champ playing some mind games with her appointed challenger. What a match we have on our hands for the Lethal Specialists Championship!
Backstage
We cut to a live feed back stage where Sweet Winters are seen walking in the hallways each with a baseball bat in hand. The camera follows them. Sweet Roxy wears a pink tank top with “Sweet Winter is Coming” printed over it and black leather pants at the bottom. Kayla Winters has on a purple tee and a cap over her head which reads “Sweet Winter Wonderland” on its print. Both girls giggle and laugh as they start their address.
Kayla Winters: This is a public service announcement! Ladies and gentlemen, you have seen how Sweet Winters push the boundaries to its absolute limit. You have seen how Sweet Winters dominated the tag team division and got rid of any competition that was placed in front of us INCLUDING the Siamese twins that are currently keeping our titles warm for our second reign! We do it the best way we know how -- majestically, glamorously, breath-takingly… Something that every other person in the JET/LAW roster lacks big time!
Sweet Roxy: It’s really simple… Sweet Winters is now on a rampage! We have demands and we want them fulfilled NOW! It’s hilarious to me how much injustice there is in a place called “LAW” -- mediocre wrestlers like Jessica Rose and Roni De Vil get handed title opportunities left and right just because they claim they work hard for what they have, well NEWSFLASH! No one cares about your history and all of the things that you have gone through or what you think you deserve, this is an eat or be eaten world, and the strongest are the ones you should be putting in that ring, and not underutilizing!
Kayla Winters: No more whispers. No more mumbles. No more silence! We are going to let our intentions known loud and clear!
Sweet Roxy: Kaylee! Look at this!
Kayla Winters: Ooooh!
Sweet Roxy and Kayla Winters stop at a door with “Madam Vega” tagged on it. Kayla tries to turn the doorknob to open the door to no success.
Kayla Winters: Looks like no one’s in here…
Sweet Roxy: Well, that can’t be right. We have to get in to talk to Madam Vega! Who else would understand our situations better than her? Trust me, we go way back, I was friends with Mia Marie Vega before! She loves me!
Kayla Winters: Looks like we have to look for her else--
Sweet Roxy suddenly busts the doorknob with her baseball bat and proceeds to kick the door three times before it fully opens.
Sweet Roxy: See? This is fine!
Kayla Winters: Oh, goodie!
The two ladies enter the office. The lights are on but no one is in it. It shows different items and electronics like trophies, TV screens, furniture, lamps, and many more. Roxy and Kayla looked at each other with a smile before they start a baseball spree on Madam Vega’s belongings. Sweet Roxy hits the TV screens and the lamps and the trophies with a baseball bat. Kayla Winters begins to throw files and papers up in the air before they fall like confetti. She afterwards helps Roxy with destroying everything in the office.
Madam Vega: What on earth do you think you’re doing?
Sweet Roxy and Kayla Winters obviously stop busting the items in the office upon hearing Madam Vega’s voice. Sweet Roxy and Kayla look at each other, and then back at Madam Vega.
Sweet Roxy: She started it!
Kayla Winters: What?!
Madam Vega: Roxy, you haven’t really changed, have you? You’re still that little troublemaker that ruins everyone’s day. And you, Kayla, ever since you debuted, you haven’t done anything different either. This could have been something we could discuss amongst ourselves, but you still choose the most obnoxious way to go about this. I heard your little shtick… I’m not impressed but it’s still my obligation to take care of my roster, which unfortunately includes the two of you. So what do you ladies want?
Kayla Winters: It’s plain and simple. Give Sweet Winters what they deserve after all of the injustice you and your roster put us through! We want Roni De Vil’s head on a silver platter! We want the LAW Championship! Give one of us a shot at it and I’ll call it even steven.
Madam Vega: Well why didn’t you say so!? It’s done!
Sweet Roxy: Wait, really?
Madam Vega: Of course! I did say I was going to take care of my roster.
Sweet Roxy: Well then, that conversation went easier than I expected. We’ll be on our way, and just let us know which one of us you pick for this opportunity… We’ll be in touch.
Madam Vega: Nope. You stay here. I’m just getting started, sweet girl. Since you have displayed such bravery and will, I’ll do you one better! Because why just take one? I’ll take you BOTH! You are both facing Roni De Vil for the LAW Championship! And because of your little stunt at the end of the main event two weeks ago, Jessica Rose pinned the Champion which ALSO earned her the very same opportunity.
Kayla Winters: Are you saying--
Madam Vega: That’s right. It’s going to be Roni De Vil, Sweet Roxy, Kayla Winters AND Jessica Rose in a FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH for the LAW Championship! Congratulations, Sweet Winters, looks like you’re getting everything you want.
Sweet Roxy and Kayla Winters look annoyed as Madam Vega takes her exit.
Madam Vega: Oh, and thanks for the office clean-up. I meant to get a brand new one anyway.
Madam Vega finally leaves the scene, leaving Roxy and Kayla infuriated.
Tag Team Match: Roni de Vil & Sweet Winters vs Sweet Winters (Sweet Roxy & Kayla Winters)
(The two teams are in the ring with Paige standing between them until finally it's Jessica in the ring with Kayla when the California native charges forward and Jessica is able to leap frog over the slightly heavier woman only for Kayla to quickly stop after Jessica's leap and then catch her flatfooted with a headbutt that forces Jessica to stagger back a couple of steps before Kayla hits a snap suplex that causes Jessica to land close to where Sweet Roxy is standing)
Melissa: and Kayla Winters with a very dominating show of force here as she practically throws Jessica over to where Sweet Roxy is at.
Kat: Sweet Winters came into this match with a definite game plan it seems, but time will only tell if it'll work or not.
Melissa: I guess we'll get to see as Kayla walks over to where Jessica is slowly getting to her feet!
(Kayla slowly starts to stalk Jessica as the Leeds native finally gets to her feet and sees Roxy right in front of her as the blonde woman smiles in a mockingly sweet way which includes a cute little wave as Kayla uses Roxy's distraction to locks in one of Jessica's arms in a chickenwing before wrapping the other around her head before driving her backwards with a Crossface chickenwing suplex at which point Kayla quickly moves over and tries to go for a kneebar but Jessica is able to fight out of it at which point Kayla simply grabs a handful of Jessica's hair and then uses it to slam her face back into the mat and wash her face in the canvas before trying for the kneebar again but Paige manages to force her to break the hold as she issues her a warning)
Kat: It seems like our ref is getting just a little bit tired of whatever Kayla's got planned here, Melissa.
Melissa: I agree, Kat, especially since that hair pull was blatant and right in front of her!
(Kayla simply forces her way around the ref only for Jessica to duck under an attempt by Kayla to grab her as the former tag team champion walks right into an elbow smash by Roni that drives Kayla back long enough for her to get caught with a leg lariat by Jessica and a quick pin attempt)
ONE...TTWWO...
Melissa: Jessica attempts to go for the pin but instead gets a one and a half before Kayla kicks out of the move.
Kat: Jessica is wasting no time as she quickly tags in the Face of LAW who gets into the ring and slowly starts to stalk Kayla as she moves to a kneeling position and our champion has a rather sadistic look on her face.
(Roni waits until finally Kayla is in a kneeling position and slowly turns to see where Jessica is when suddenly she is met with a Shining Wizard square to the face before Roni pulls Kayla up and into a Cravate at which point she starts to drive her knees hard into the taller woman's mid-section before following it up with a double knee to Kayla's
mid-section which drives her backwards and into Sweet Winter's corner as she takes a couple of steps back and points at Kayla)
*SLAP*!!
Melissa: The ref acknowledges the tag right as Kayla ends up on the receiving end of a Roni Silver Bullet big boot!
Kat: Not only that but that looked slightly more painful than usual as Roni drags Kayla out of the corner and goes for a pin as the ref motions for her that she won't count and Roni realizes what has happened as she moves to stand up only to be met with by a Felina by the "Mafiosa"!
(Kayla gets out of the ring as Roxy pulls up Roni and starts laying into her with a couple of a forearm shots before she throws her into the ropes with Roni ducking under Roxy's first attempt but on the rebound, Roni catches her with a jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick that catches Roxy flush before she drives her knees into Roxy's lower back)
Kat: Ouch, we don't see Roxy make mistakes often...
Melissa: Yeah but I wouldn't count her out yet there, Kat!
Kat: Perhaps, but it looks like Roni is motioning for Jessica to come into the ring for some reason.
(Jessica quickly gets into the ring as Roni quickly hauls Sweet Roxy up and holds her for Jessica at which point Jessica simply smiles as she quickly goes for a roundhouse kick of her own only for Roxy to get out of the way and the kick catches the champion flush in the right side of her jaw, knocking Roni to the mat at which point Kayla quickly comes out of nowhere with a leaping shoulder block before she throws Jessica out of the ring before Roxy motions to Kayla as the taller woman gets into position but the moment that Roni is standing up again and tries to figure out what’s happened she gets caught in the middle of a Roxy Superkick and Kayla Spear at which point Roxy quickly rolls her up for the pin)
ONE..TTWWOO….TTTHHHRRREEEEEE!! *DING DING*
London: THE WINNERS OF YOUR MATCH, THE TEAM OF SWEET ROXY AND KAYLA WINTERS...SWEET WINTERS!!!
Kat: and just like that, Sweet Winters picks up the win via a superkick/spear combination on the LAW champion.
Melissa: Yeah and Jessica has got to be feeling horrible that she may have cost her team the match...but what is Kayla doing now?!
(Kayla rolls out to the ringside area, goes over and quickly grabs the LAW championship that she brings back into the ring as “Sweet” Roxy stands over Roni with a look of complete and utter pride on her face as her tag team partner hands her the LAW championship at which point both women hold it up over Roni’s prone form as Jessica slowly gets up and looks on with shock on her face)
(LAW and IJWF logos buzz)
