Maki Fujioka: After an amazing Sakura Blooming show! We are on the road towards our next major event! Ladies and Gentlemen, we are on the road towards Goddess Dream 2019! Welcome everyone to tonight’s episode of JET Live Tour, I’m Maki Fujioka and of course joined by my colleague Asuka Kuramochi!
Asuka Kuramochi: It’s a pleasure to be here, Maki-san! We have quite an amazing card in store for our viewers with an amazing main event in store!
(We soon cut ringside as to the shock of the fans “Dune 2008 (Instrumental)” by P’Unk~En~Ciel starts to play as JET President Hanako Nakamoto makes her way out to the ring. Even the commentators are in shock, meanwhile President Nakamoto makes her way down to the ring and is handed a microphone from one of the young girls at ringside. Hanako’s music dies down as she soon begins to speak.)
Hanako Nakamoto: Now I know I wasn’t set to be on the card tonight, so I apologize to everyone here and the ones watching this wherever you are. I was in the area and I simply wanted to say some things before we kicked off this year’s Goddess Dream tour. This tour is important to everyone single person who has been in JET for a long tenure and I’m talking before Azumi Goto and Stephanie Matsuda became the owners of the promotion. We use this tour as a chance to pay tribute to one of the greatest performers that this industry has ever seen. The company founder and one of my closest friends in Miss Manami Toyama.
Hanako Nakamoto: Of course, this tour has one major match that defines it. That being the Miss Manami Tributary Shield Gauntlet match. Last year's match was a great success and the board is intent on having this year's tournament mean a lot more. When Natsu Toyama won the match, she was granted the ability to become JET’s representative in the inaugural IJWF Title match but this year’s winner will be granted a JET Academy Championship match. This title match can only be redeemed for a JET Supershow such as RISE GP Finals, Kyoto Spotlight or if you want to be bold, it can be redeemed for a title match at Cinderella Story. It's up to the winner of the Tributary Shield Trophy on how they and when want to cash-in that opportunity. Over this tour, we will be holding qualifying matches and 6 women will then face off at Goddess Dream in a Gauntlet Match. That's all I have for today, now I have taken much more time than I expected. We will now return to the scheduled card for this evening's show.
(“Dune 2008” plays one more time as Hanako passes her mic back to young lion as she takes her leave, not before high fiving the fans sitting next to the entrance ramp. JET soon cuts to an intermission break.)
(INTERMISSION)
(We return to ringside as both teams make their respective entrances for tonight’s opening match.)
Opening/Tag Team Match: Machiko Hasegawa & Yuki Takigawa vs. Talia Areano & Vivace Fortissimo
Two debutants vs. a sudo-regular team was tonight’s opening match. Talia Areano and Vivace Fortissimo took on Machiko Hasegawa and Yuki Takigawa. The last time Talia was involved in anything revolving she took on LAW Specialist Champion April Song at the first ever IJWF show Collision Course. The crowd were in of Areano’s athletic abilities. Machiko seemed to be out of it, maybe her loss to IZM might have caused this downward slide. Machiko wasn’t up to her normal less and it showed as Talia was able to seal the win after 6 minutes with a Standing Slice of Heaven (Sliced Bread #2).
(Winners - Talia Areano & Vivace Fortissimo)
(Post-Match: Machiko and Yuki made it backstage as Talia and Vivace were celebrating, Takigawa immediately told Machiko to head back in the game and stop thinking about her loss to IZM. Machiko didn’t say anything instead leaving immediately. Once Talia and Vivace made their way backstage, Areano was the first to talk as she spoke about how great it felt making her debut in JET. She seems to be hopeful to keep her momentum rolling and is hopeful about a long and successful tenure in JET. Vivace was given time as she properly introduced herself to the JET faithful.)
(Camera soon cuts to static as we seem to be in a warehouse of sorts. A major part that the camera seems to catch is a board in the back, on said board are cut up pictures of Azumi Goto and Stephanie Matsuda, the two co-owners of JET. On a table in front of the board lies two different items. The camera can’t make out what those items are. Soon the attention changes as KAGUYA arrives inside the warehouse, with her signature cocky grin and her aviators as she sits on her seat. None of the other KAGUYA-Gun members anywhere to be seen.)
KAGUYA: Did you miss me? Because I certainly didn’t miss any single one of you but I don’t think I should talk about any single one of you. But rather I should explain my actions.
(KAGUYA soon looks directly at the camera.)
KAGUYA: On the night of my return since losing MY JET World Championship to that runt Miyamoto, myself and Julia Zhang blindsided the JET World Tag Team Champions Tomoyo Hirate and Rio Kurokawa. Why? Isn’t it quite simple… since I don’t have my JET World Championship anymore, I need some other gold around my waist. I don’t qualify for the little kids JET Academy Championship held by that twig Ai Moe, so what’s the next best thing for me? That only leaves one title for the great Black Heart General.
(KAGUYA’s tone soon got serious as she sat comfortably in her chair.)
KAGUYA: Consider that as a warning shot, Kurokawa and Hirate. Myself and Julia Zhang will be the next challengers for your JET World Tag Team Championship at Goddess Dream. Since you two are so proud to be JET Tag Champs, you definitely wouldn’t decline a challenger to prove your status as one of the world’s best tag teams. Hopefully I hear from you two soon!
(KAGUYA begins to laugh as she soon leaves her seat and yells at the camera crew to leave her warehouse. The camera quickly cuts to black for a commercial.)
(Commercial break to promote Goddess Dream LIVE from Osaka EDION Arena!!)
(We return from commercial and Spring TORA is already down to the ring as the crowd cheer her on. Soon Mariko Reimon makes her entrance as it seems she is all business tonight.)
Singles Match: Mariko Reimon vs. Spring TORA
Tonight’s second match featured the recently debuted veteran Mariko Reimon as she faced JET Dojo Young Girl Spring TORA. The Luchadora started off strong nailling early forearms that seems to be barely fazing Mariko Reimon. Spring now rushes the ropes only to be nailed with a roundhouse kick. After a dominant stretch going to Mariko but TORA was able to rebound with a fiery comeback. Unfortunately her valiant effort for naught as Mariko nailed TORA with a Cannon Spike! Sealing the win for herself!
(Winner - Mariko Reimon)
(As Mariko is celebrating, the camera soon cuts backstage to Yoko Kudo’s office as she is discussing important matters with someone on the phone until she hears a knock on her door.)
Yoko Kudo: Give me a moment, I have some business to attend to.
(Yoko soon puts her phone down but doesn’t turn it off before raising her voice telling the person at the door to enter. The door soon opens as we see it’s IZM who politely enters the room.)
Yoko Kudo: Hi there, IZM! What can I help you with today?
IZM: I'm going to keep it short, Miss Kudo. I would like to be compete in Miss Manami Tributary Shield Gauntlet Match if possible.
(Yoko seems a bit surprised at IZM’s request.)
Yoko Kudo: Well that’s unfortunately something I can’t do that. It's not that I think you can't compete but rather, this is a chance for our well tenured competitors.
IZM: Please this will be the only thing I request from you and JET management. This gauntlet match could be a chance for me to see how far I have come since joining.
: I think you should let her have this opportunity, Yoko. Like she said, this is a good chance to see if she has improved since joining JET.
(Camera pans over as we see Hanako Nakamoto at the office entrance. She soon enters the room and extends her hand to IZM.)
Hanako Nakamoto: IZM, it’s finally nice to meet you. I say this as a representative of the whole JET board that we’ve been impressed with you since your first match here. Now I know Yoko’s decision is to not let you in but as the representative for the JET board and JET’s two majority owners, I will allow your entry. You are officially the first entrant in this year’s Tributary Shield Gauntlet Match. Think of your win at Sakura Blooming as your qualifier.
(IZM with a smile on her face as she soon bows.)
IZM: Thank you so much! I won’t make you regret this decision!
(IZM soon leaves as Yoko Kudo and Hanako Nakamoto are left in the room. Kudo seems to be glaring directly at the JET President.)
Hanako Nakamoto: What?! Just trust me on this one, Yoko.
Yoko Kudo: Last time I trusted you was when we were still young and active competitors. You almost got us in trouble when I trusted.
Hanako Nakamoto: Keyword is almost plus I think Manami herself would like to see IZM in action.
(The cameraman now leaves the two fed heads alone as we soon return to ringside for tonight’s semi-main.)
Semi-Main/Tributary Shield Gauntlet Qualifier Match: Tori De Vil vs. Amy Slayton
Huge opportunity for both women in this match! With both of them looking to use this match as a kickstart to the top, it got competitive from the very beginning. Both De Vil and Slayton brought out their A-game tonight, everything they could dish and even more for the chance to compete for a shot the tributary shield. As the match neared its eventual end, Amy Slayton landed a Devil Trigger that almost sealed the match for her but Tori was able to kick out! Amy soon tried going for the Devil’s Dance but Tori had it scouted and countered with a Bittersweet Kick before ending the match with a Hawthorne Effect (Snap Lifting Reverse STO) and sealing a spot for Miss Manami Tributary Shield Gauntlet Match!
(Winner - Tori De Vil)
(As Tori celebrates her win, we soon cut to an intermission/commercial break.)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK FOR TRIFECTA FEATURING THE TALENTS FROM LAW, JET AND OWA’S ODYSSEY BRAND.)
(As we return from commercial as the ring crew set up for tonight’s main event. During her entrance, Stacy DeVille was given a huge pop for her return to Japan. Meanwhile Natsu seemed focused when making her entrance and there was a slight staredown between Momoko and Ai Moe almost a prelude to their upcoming Academy Title match at Goddess Dream.)
Main Event/Six-Women Tag Match: Midori Miyamoto, Stacy DeVille and Ai Moe vs. Natsu Toyama, Mizuki Nakata and Momoko Honda.
Tonight’s main event had some big implications for Goddess Dream. Honda and Moe are set to face at the event, meanwhile Midori Miyamoto seems to be on the hunt for a new challenger. The match started with champion and challenger for the Academy Championship match. Moe and Honda started off in attempts outdoing one another with their athleticism, afterwards was the first tags of the match for both teams. Mizuki Nakata and Stacy DeVille got in the ring as both women have a throwback to their match from JET15. Nakata and DeVille showcasing their strengths before both teams made one more tag and in came Natsu as she faced the JET World Champion Midori Miyamoto!
The Second Generation tried her hardest as Midori had the upperhand in size. The trio of DeVille, Miyamoto and Moe soon worked on cutting off Natsu from her partners as the Shinjuku crowd cheered her on. Soon Natsu was able to use DeVille’s confidence against her and get the hot tag to Mizuki Nakata! The Chosen One came in like a freight train, taking down all three women of the opposing team even if two of them were her former trios partners.
As the action packed continued on for the next 10 minutes, we had to reach the eventual finish as Natsu countered Midori’s BURNING combination with a Last Suprise (Slingblade)! The Second Generation Goddess soon immediately got her opponent up and landed a massive Tokyo Sunset (Sunset Flip Powerbomb)! Unfortunately for Natsu that wasn’t enough as Midori Miyamoto kicked out, with her partners busy dealing with Midori’s teammates, Natsu took this chance as she quickly got Midori up who seemed out it! With a signature Double Hammerlock! Natsu was able to hit The Final Answer Suplex! Securing what could be considered a massive upset!
(Winner - Natsu Toyama, Mizuki Nakata and Momoko Honda)
(Realization that she pinned the JET World Champion without any outside interference soon rushes to Natsu’s head as she has a shocked look on her face. Midori is being helped out by her teammates as Natsu soon asks for a microphone.)
Natsu Toyama: MIYAMOTO MIDORI!! You said at Sakura Blooming that whoever wants to challenge you just needs to yell your name! Well here you are! Goddess Dream is an event created to pay tribute to my mother’s historic career and I couldn’t think of any greater way to pay tribute to her by winning the JET World Championship in front of her in attendance.
(The crowd in attendance let out loud cheers as Natsu continues to speak.)
Natsu Toyama: JET will be back on air next week! So I’ll give you time to recover but Midori Miyamoto accept this challenge, so I have the opportunity to bring the JET World Championship full circle. The first champion was my mother and the next champion will be me after I beat you at Sakura Blooming!
(Natsu drops her mic as Cynthia’s “Run To The Future” plays! JET 25 ends with Natsu in the ring as she poses for the crowd, meanwhile the JET World Champion is being helped to the back.)
(JET LOGO BUZZES!)
