(The screen suddenly flickers and flashes with bursts of static before a shot of April can be seen on the screen)
April Song: I didn’t come here to just be a part of the show and put on quality matches week after week, I came here to be THE Show. And little Revy is going to find out a lot of shit has changed in the last year or so and she will tap the fuck out.
(The screen flickers again to a series of rapid fire images of April facing off against Revy and then April against "Big Sexy" Santana and then April before it cuts back to April speaking but it seems to be one cut of April speaking after another in rapid succession)
April: Being one of the best wrestlers in the world, I had to advance...
April: You are tough and you are strong, but you don't have nearly the gravitas or name recognition to tell anyone who deserves what.
April: I want *MORE*
(At this point the screen has April repeating the word "MORE" over and over again on a loop before it suddenly and abruptly cuts out and we are shown a boiler room somewhere and there are all kinds of strange writing on the walls, apparently done in white chalk or paint on the dead gray walls with a noose hanging over an exposed pipe in the background and there seems to be a strange whispering...very faint, so faint that you can’t really make out the words are before the screen does a static jump and we are shown Miss Tara sitting in a chair with her face in profile as she has her hands steepled in front of her face)
“April Song, you might be wondering why Celes chose you to be the first person that she...introduced...herself here in Lethal Angels of Wrestling. The first person that gave that good old Boston “Hello” to and what not but if you think back on your words from over the past several weeks, you’ll have your answer right there in front of you...repeating themselves constantly...don’t you?” the older woman says in a slow, elegant voice..almost like a queen addressing a commoner...or a mother with a child. “But knowing the levels of your own self righteousness, about how you have to be the biggest and the best wrestler and how no one else can even be that level anywhere in professional wrestling...is it any more obvious why people want to challenge you?”
Tara then holds up a hand to the camera. “And before you even start to *THINK* that Celes’ attack on you has something to do with that title of yours, then you most certainly need to rethink your entire train of thought because to Celes, titles are one thing...but the thrill of the hunt is more important to her and for quite a long time now, we’ve been hearing about how “great” and “impressive” you are, “Killer Bee”...but you know what they say about hubris and how it and karma can catch up to you?”
(The screen then suddenly jumps with a burst of sudden static before we are shown Tara, still sitting in her chair but now facing the camera a little bit more, but now Celes is standing slightly in the background with a bit of a feral grin on her face as she has her arms crossed over her chest)
“It’s strange how things like this come about really. I mean when you think about it, April. You are so used to people stepping up to fight you for whatever title that you hold or to try and make a name for themselves based on who you are...but what are you going to do, April…”Killer Bee”...”Professional''...when you step into the ring with a woman who doesn’t care about that title you sling around like it’s more important than the air you breathe or the recognition that your name brings..what will you do when you eventually step into the ring with a woman who unlike Aria Jaxon, Revy, Tarah Nova, and most especially Stephanie Matsuda isn’t gunning for you for any other reason than because you are someone for her to challenge, to fight, to make bleed...what can you do when you’re not playing second fiddle to Cloud Matsuda and step into the ring with an entirely different kind of *BEAST*?”
(Tara then leans back and Celes face turns into a smug old grin)
“Tara’s views aside, dear April. I do hope that you’re giving what I said the other night a very serious think because I would love to see what that mind of yours comes up with...so please, don’t disappointment me because I would really hate to be disappointed.”
“Now we come over to you, Carla Luna. We both made our big debuts for LAW at Homecoming, but where you were merely jerking a curtain and beating a little girl around the ring like she owed you her milk money, I was giving myself a good a PROPER introduction to the Miss Song...but this coming week on the tele...we’ve got a proper match you and I.”
(The screen jumps around again and we see Celes silently writing the same phrase over and over again on the blank slate gray concrete wall before falling to her knees, arms up and outstretched with Tara sitting partially in the foreground, smiling at the younger woman’s work before the screen jumps again, showing us Celes now sitting on a stool facing the camera)
“Tell me Carla, have you ever stepped into the ring with someone like me before? Someone who isn’t afraid of throwing themselves into the deep end of the pool head first, not really caring if they sink or swim but do it for the sheer thrill of it?”
“That’s me.”
“You see most people look at me and they instantly see what they want to which is that girl is just another crazy brawler with no real style or form when the truth of the matter is that not only am I from one of the most infamous wrestling families around, but I was also trained in a very unorthodox style. You combine that with my devil may care attitude about what I can put my body through and you shall understand what I'm bringing to the table at the show."
(The screen jumps again and we are shown Celes standing up and over the camera, looking down in a seriously warped Jason Voorhess style hockey mask before the screen jumps again to a close up of Celes' dark eyes peering out from the eye holes of the mask before the screen jumps again to Celes sitting on a stool and looking at the camera with a serious intent)
"Now of course you are probably also wondering if all of my attention is dedicated solely to our match and I want you to fully grasp that I completely understand your concerns because while I might be a furious, slightly bent, and calculating BITCH...I do care for the concerns of my opponent and I want you to know here and now that when we face off on television that you will have my complete..."
(The screen suddenly jumps to a shot of a sped up Celes bouncing off of the walls and grabbing large handfuls of her own hair while Miss Tara watches on, a darkly bemused look on her face before the screen jumps once more to Celes sitting on the stool...looking calm, serene, and serious)
"...and utter attention when we step into that ring and I can also promise you that you will not find our match lacking for anything..."
(The screen jumps again, once more of a close up view of Celes in the Voorhes mask only this time it's splattered and smeared with a red liquid as the dark orbs stare menacingly out from the eye holes of the mask before it jump cuts back to Celes calmly sitting on the stool again)
"...except for maybe any shred of mercy."
(The screen then abruptly cuts to black)
