The following excerpt was taking during an interview. Ms. Miyamoto sat down with me as she we discussed her last match in the Joshi Extreme Takeover RISE Grand Prix. For the full interview, please visit my Pro Wrestling Digest website. Thanks! -Conrad Q
Midori Miyamoto: I faced Rachel Frost in my last Grand Prix match. First off, I’ll start by saying that she was an amazing opponent. As far as the quality of the match, I think it was good. I was able to go out there, mix it up a bit, and give her different looks. Rachel got a bit too carried away at the end and misstepped, and that’s when I made my move...I’m aware that people within JET doubt me. But as I’ve said many times before, this isn’t my first redo. I haven’t had seventy-thousands matches, but this also isn’t my first year in the sport. I’ve been around for a couple of years. So pulling out a win against Candice or Rachel shouldn’t shock anyone. Yes, I came to JET to improve. But I also came to JET because I know I’ve got the ability to succeed in the ring.
Midori Miyamoto: My next match is against KAGUYA. She’s probably going to be big mad after losing to Tomoyo; it’s just something I’ve got to account for...Most people would likely say that KAGUYA has the advantage in this match. A little bit more experience. And of course, she’s got the numbers game. However, I beg to differ. Can we be honest? People within JET really don’t know what I can do in the ring. They’ve seen glimpses here throughout the tournament, but no one on this roster truly knows what I’m capable of. The one exception to that rule is myself. I know what I can do out there. And I also know that I can beat KAGUYA. Whether or not that happens? We’ll see in a few days.
