Episode 9: "Last Stop To Sin City"
The scene finds Kayla sitting on a bench at a local gym.
Kayla: When I decided to end my hiatus and step back into a wrestling ring inside Lethal Angels of Wrestling, I vowed to take over the company and two matches in I’m two and zero, sure I had to carry Roxy through a tag team match but hey when your not on my level, that’s just how it is.
Kayla takes a drink of water and winks at one of the muscular male trainers.
Kayla: Now let me make it perfectly clear, I had no intention of forming a tag team with Roxy, any tag title goals I had involved me teaming with my sister, but since she signed with another company teaming with Roxy is what I’m stuck with, it's a team of convenience, not respect, and as long a Roxy can help me obtain the tag team titles, I’ll pretend to be interested in our alliance.
One of the female trainers smiles and waves at Kayla who politely smiles back.
Kayla: Wolfgang Symphony you can claim all you want but you have never faced someone with my pedigree inside a wrestling ring, my first match in LAW I destroyed Hanako Nakamoto’s prized protege, in my second Damnation fell to me and well Roxy too I guess and when the eventual match comes between Wolfgang Symphony and Roxy and me, your title reign will come to a screeching halt, and another step in my takeover of Lethal Angels of Wrestling will be complete. See you in the ring.
Kayla picks up her gym bag and walks off.
(The scene transitions to Wolfegang Symphony who are looking at the monitor backstage in the LAW Locker Room in disgust. Vivina Wolfe and Bethany Sharpe have their Lethal Tag Team Championships on their shoulders as the look at the monitor and then at each other concern.)
Vivina Wolfe: Should we be taking Kayla Winters seriously, Bethany?
(Bethany looks at the monitor as she is looking for how to respond to Vivina. Bethany looks back at Vivina with a calm demeanor.)
Bethany Sharpe: Kayla Winters and Sweet Roxy are basically the same person. Just like we are the same person, Vivina. But...
Vivina Wolfe: But, what?
Bethany Sharpe: Those two are ready to implode anytime soon. The moment Kayla finds out that this alliance between Sweet Roxy is a bust, she’ll drop her and focus on herself. Could that happen at Sin City?
Vivina Wolfe: Perhaps, it will happen after they lose the match?
Bethany Sharpe: Why so soon? I always like a slow build before the explosion.
(Bethany Sharpe looks at the monitor with a sneaky grin on her face.)
Vivina Wolfe: There’s no way that both these girls would be an alliance for long for that to happen, Bethany.
Bethany Sharpe: Maybe, maybe not. Let’s talk strategy for Sin City.
(RECAP: Clips from the last episode of LAW are shown. Miranda Minors starts off the show with giving a piece of her mind about her loss at Caged, leading her to demand for a rematch. Madam Vega denying Miranda’s rematch, but announcing that Miranda will be the first participant in the Joker’s Wild Match at Sin City. It leads to Miranda vowing to win the match and cash in the title on Daisy Thrash as soon as possible. It transitions to Wolfegang Symphony in the ring as they talk about their potential next opponents for Sin City. Kayla Winters and Sweet Roxy come out and give Wolfegang Symphony a proposition which leads them to make an alliance and challenging for the Lethal Tag Team Championships. Wolfegang Symphony accepts. It goes to April Song in the ring talking about her victory over Aria Jaxon and setting her sights on the Lethal Specialists Championship. Santana Matthews comes out as her and April have a conversation with Santana vowing that the Lethal Specialists Championship is staying with her and she is going to give them a champion they deserve and April vowing to give the people a champion they deserve is her. Lastly, it goes to Daisy Thrash in the ring with the “You Deserve It” chant being heard in the background. Daisy talks about how hard work pays off in the end. Madam Vega comes out and announces Daisy’s opponent for Sin City, Hikaru Suzuki. Hikaru is looking at Daisy with eyes of determination as Daisy raises the LAW Championship high above her head.)
(“I am the Fire” -- Halestorm plays in the background of the LAW Intro. As soon as the intro is done, the camera pans to a SOLD OUT LAW Arena in Boyle Heights, California! The camera gets a great shot of the cheering fans with various posters of their favorite LAW wrestler. Then, it goes to Kat Ricci and Melissa Flash smiling in commentary.)
Kat Ricci: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT LAW! I AM KAT RICCI!
Melissa Flash: AND I AM MELISSA FLASH AND DON’T WE HAVE A GREAT SHOW TONIGHT?
Kat Ricci: We do, Melissa! Tonight, we have three qualifying matches as the winner will join Miranda Minors in the Joker’s Wild Match at Sin City!
(We see a three-way match card for Roni De Vil vs. Jocelyn Sky, Isabella Verratti vs. Yuki Sakaraba with Rina Sakaraba and the main event, Rina Sakaraba with Yuki Sakaraba vs. Jasmine Peyton with Lieta Collins!)
Melissa Flash: The undefeated Roni De Vil will take on the former Lethal Specialists Champion, Jocelyn Sky! Newcomer Isabella Verratti is looking to score her first victory in LAW as she faces Yuki Sakaraba! Also, in our main event, Rina Sakaraba looks to redeem herself from Caged as she takes on a woman who is looking to bounce back and get herself back in the title hunt, Jasmine Peyton!
Kat Ricci: Not only that, but tonight, we find out what the stipulation for Santana Matthews vs. April Song will be!
Melissa Flash: Honestly, with the whole theme being Vegas, I would think it has to be something about that.
Kat Ricci: We’ll have to see about that, but let’s get to our opening match with newcomers Hayley Valentine and Buffy Blaire!
Opening Match: Hayley Valentine vs. Buffy Blaire
The match begins as Hayley and Buffy look up with a simple collar-and-elbow tie up. The two women are trying to get upper hand, Buffy is able to push Hayley back into the corner. She soon makes the mistake of patting Hayley on the head and mouthing off to the young Welsh wrestler. This ticks off Hayley as she promptly decides to slap Buffy right in the face. Both women now mad fire off strikes at one another, what many thought would be a technical bout has turned into a brawl. Hayley lets out a loud chop as you can hear it all around the building. Another chop and even louder this time as you can see Buffy’s chest bright red now from being lit up with chops. Hayley now running the ropes and for something but Buffy is able to react a dropkick! Hayley now falls hard on the back of her head as Buffy goes for the cover.
Only one and a half as Buffy transitions to a side headlock! She’s able to keep Hayley Valentine grounded for a period of time, slowing down this match. Valentine herself is slowly getting up while still trapped in the side headlock from Buffy. She tries to shake off Buffy with shots to the ribs but that doesn’t work at all. Hayley now tries for a Belly-to-back suplex but Buffy again is able to keep the Prodigy from escaping. Hayley tries again for a backdrop suplex AND THIS TIME IT HITS! She was finally able to escape. Both women are right back to their feet and go at each other. Buffy charging in for a running superkick but Hayley is able to avoid it and go for a kick right to the gut of Blaire. Now Hayley gets her opponent in a Fisherman Suplex hold, it’s countered as Buffy goes for a Small Package.
A close two count for Buffy as she almost stole a win from the Welsh wrestling prodigy. Both are back up to their feet and Buffy with a cheap shot as she stomps right on Hayley’s left toe/boot. Hayley is down to one knee and Buffy takes chance to finish the match! She rushes the ropes, probably looking for her “Body Shop” finisher. Once Buffy is back from rebounding, Hayley somehow is able to counter with a pop-up and HEADBUTTING BUFFY! She’s down and out as Hayley immediately gets her opponent back up before bringing her down with a TIGER DRIVER B.C. (Sheer Drop Tiger Driver)! Hayley Valentine gets a massive win over a very game to Buffy Blaire!
Melissa Flash: Hayley Valentine redeeming herself from Caged with an impressive victory over Buffy Blaire! Buffy was impressive as well and she has a bright future in LAW! She is just going to need to push herself a little harder!
(Roni De Vil is seen backstage warming up for her match. Roni is shadowboxing and seems to be in the zone, but Maria Cuesta gets into the camera shot, trying not to get punched by Roni.)
Maria Cuesta: Hello, Roni! I know, that you’re busy warming up for your match, but I wanted to get a few words from you before your match against former Lethal Specialists Champion, Jocelyn Sky.
(Roni stops shadow boxing as she keeps the serious and badass look on her face.
Roni De Vil: Jocelyn is no concern for me, Maria. For those that haven’t realized, I’m undefeated in singles matches in LAW! There has been no woman who has stepped up to the plate and defeated me? Is it luck or is it because I’m that f--king good? Perhaps, defeating and putting down a former Lethal Specialists Champion will finally make people realize that Roni De Vil is the real deal around here. Jocelyn Sky would love nothing more than bounce back from her loss against Santana Matthews and prove to Stephanie Matsuda that she’s not a disgrace, but I’m setting my sights on the LAW Championship. I know, people have been wondering when Roni De Vil will be setting her sights on being the “Face of LAW” and when I defeat Jocelyn and defeat three other women at Sin City, Daisy Thrash or Hikaru Suzuki are going to have to be on a look out for me.
?: When you win at Sin City?
(The camera goes from Roni to Miranda Minors, who had been watching the entire interview in disgust. Miranda approaches Roni as the two women exchange a look with one another.)
Roni De Vil: You heard me. I’m winning at Sin City. I’m the next LAW Champion.
Miranda Minors: You gotta beat Jocelyn Sky before you make all of those powerful claims.
Roni De Vil: You’re right. I wouldn’t want to be like you claiming that you would defeat Daisy Thrash for a third time and retain your LAW Championship at Caged.
Miranda Minors: Oop! You got me there, Roni. You’re such a savage...not. But, I’m just here to give you a little warning. This winning streak you have going for yourself, it’s going to end eventually. It’s going to fall apart and I’m going to laugh when it does.
Roni De Vil: You’re not going to laugh for a long time now.
Miranda Minors: We’ll see about that. Good luck with Jocelyn, but I don’t think you need it…
(Miranda walks backwards and away from the camera shot, leaving Roni rolling her eyes and resuming her shadowboxing.)
(Commercial break.)
Singles Match: Roni De Vil vs. Jocelyn Sky -- Joker’s Wild Qualifying Match
After the bell signalling the start of the match, Roni De Vil takes control early on, battering the former Lethal Specialists Champion with strikes, backing her into the corner. Jocelyn drops to her knees but is met with a brutal soccer kick to the chest that drives the wind from her and results in a near fall. Jocelyn mounts a surge of offense, but is cut off when Roni catches her with a shining wizard. Jocelyn again kicks out of a pinfall attempt, and makes one of her own when she counters a bodyslam into a roll up. Roni dominates Jocelyn further, seemingly trying to punish the former champion. When Roni misses a Thesz press, Jocelyn fights back with a stiff roundhouse, followed by clinched knee strikes, which rock De Vil to the point Skye is able to hit Zantetsuken (fireman’s carry shin kick), but Roni is able to kick out right at two. As Jocelyn tries to pull De Vil to her feet she is met with a D&D, which Roni follows up with The Hawthorne Effect (delayed lifting reverse STO), pinning the former champion in a definitive win.
Melissa Flash: Roni De Vil becomes the second woman to qualify for the Joker’s Wild Match!
Kat Ricci: Roni continues her undefeated streak in LAW. Miranda Minors has someone to be worried about at Sin City!
(The camera goes backstage to Miranda Minors, who had scouted Roni De Vil’s match. Miranda has a serious look on her face, but also knows that she may have something to worry about.)
(Commercial break.)
(The words “earlier today” appear on screen and the camera opens to see Maria Cuesta sitting backstage with a blue curtain behind her)
Maria Cuesta: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. This is Maria Cuesta. I’m here with my guest, Isabella Verratti. Isabella, thank you for joining me tonight. How are you doing?
(Camera shot pulls back to reveal Isabella Verratti sitting across from Maria, wearing a red dress and matching heels with her hair styled and feathered. Her rich Italian accent rings as she speaks.)
Isabella Verratti (smiling): Bene, grazie.
Maria Cuesta: Isabella, later tonight you will face Yuki Sakaraba in a qualifying match for the Joker’s Wild Match at Sin City. Not to be rude, but how do you feel about that coming off losing your debut match?
Isabella Verratti: Well, I have to respect Hikaru Suzuki. She beat me. She managed to avoid my Poisonous IV and rolled me up to win. Bravissima, Hikaru. But the fact I have been selected for the qualifying match shows what I accomplished that night. I will not be a woman of moral victories. But I took an undefeated woman, a contender to our top championship, and I controlled her for the entirety of our match. Hikaru may have survived me in that match. But if we face again, Hikaru, know that the Perfect Storm is ready for you. (Wink)
Maria Cuesta: I’m glad you mentioned that. What’s the origin of your nickname, “The Perfect Storm”?
Isabella Verratti: It was given to me in reference to my diversity as a performer. A Perfect Storm is something that is a combination of various factors to make something more powerful. I was never properly trained for acrobatics, but I took to it naturally as well as my ability to contort my body in ways many cannot. It allowed me to fly through the air and even performing more dangerous stunts such as swinging from a trapeze and adjusting my body to fly through various challenges. (She laughs) I recall once it was meant to be a swing into a backflip and a downward corkscrew dive through a ten foot long tunnel that was suspended in the air above my catch net. It wasn’t until I was up on the platform that the show master decided to announce it would also be on fire. That was... ehhhhh... dovrei dire... exciting? And warm. (She chuckles again) But when I began wrestling it transitioned all the same because I am able to fly through the air in a way most people are fascinated by, and I have used my flexibility from contortionist shows to learn to bend others into unique submissions.
Maria Cuesta: well that certainly speaks to your abilities, but what’s your take on your opponent tonight, Yuki Sakaraba?
Isabella Verratti: I have seen much of her work. She is a fascinating performer all her own and I am honored to share the ring with her. But all the same, the only stars she will see tonight will be the arena lights. Because she may fly through space, but I have flown through fire. Credici.
Maria Cuesta: Thank you for your time, Isabella. Best of luck tonight.
(Isabella and Maria stand and shake hands before Isabella gathers her purse and leaves as the camera fades)
Singles Match: Isabella Verratti vs. Yuki Sakaraba w/ Rina Sakaraba -- Joker’s Wild Qualifying Match
Isabella Verratti and Yuki Sakaraba meet in the middle of the ring, before shaking each other hands and taking a step back before going for a collar and elbow tie up. Isabella happens to be the stronger woman at the moment before pushing Yuki onto one of the corners. The official of the match counts to four and Isabella gets her hands up where the official can see them. Yuki uses the little time to process everything that is going on and think of a way to get the upper hand on Isabella. Isabella goes back to get Yuki and grabs her by the arm and whips her to the opposite corner. Yuki holds onto the corner as Isabella attempts to connect with a back elbow, but Yuki moves out of the way. Isabella crashes onto that corner as Yuki takes a few steps back before running and connecting with hesitation dropkick to Isabella, who slides down to a seated position in the corner. Yuki Sakaraba picks up Isabella Verratti and connects with a German suplex, but holds it there as she goes for the cover, but Isabella kicks out at two.
Rina Sakaraba is cheering for her sister in her corner as Yuki Sakaraba does her best to keep up the momentum. Yuki gets Isabella Verratti back up to her feet and connects with a switchblade kick as Isabella bends forward in reaction to the kick. Yuki bounces from the ropes and connects with a swinging neckbreaker as Isabella is down again. Yuki decides to go to the corner closests to Isabella and climb on top of it. Isabella is getting to an all fours position as Yuki jumps and connects with Mass Extinction (Double Footstomp from the top rope) on Isabella. Isabella finds herself on her back as Yuki goes for the cover, but Isabella kicks out at two again. Yuki is confident that she can smell the victory coming as she gets Isabella up to her feet again. Yuki connects with a Super Galactic Collider (Stan Hansen style Lariat), but Isabella bends back in some sort of matrix kind of way before connecting with a stunner that sends Yuki back and bouncing on the ropes.
Isabella Verratti gets Yuki Sakaraba by one of her arms and whipping her to the opposite corner. Isabella runs and connects with a elbow smash to Yuki’s face before connecting with a hip toss. Isabella connects with a low dropkick to Yuki’s back before going for the cover, but Yuki kicks out at two. Rina Sakaraba is cheering for her sister ringside, but is showing concern. Isabella slowly picks up Yuki back to her feet and goes for a rear naked choke with a grapevine as Yuki is struggling to get out of the move. Rina is cheering for her sister ringside and yelling for her to get out of the move. Isabella does a great job with trying to keep the rear naked choke on Yuki, but Yuki manages to stumble backwards with Isabella hanging off her back and crashes onto the corner. Yuki uses the distance to help recover for a second as Isabella gets back to a standing position and gets Yuki back, but Yuki connects with a palm strike on Isabella’s chest as Isabella delivers a palm strike back at Yuki. Yuki delivers a palm strike back and Isabella does the same. The two women go back and forth with the palm strikes before Isabella pushes Yuki to the ropes. Yuki does a Super Galactic Collider and connects with the lariat as Isabella goes down. Yuki is hyping up the LAW fans as she goes for the Kawaī chōshinsei (Burning Hammer). She picks up Isabella, but Isabella sweeps Yuki’s feet as she goes crashing to her knees. Isabella sees that Yuki is down before locking in Poisonous IV (Anchor Lock). Yuki does her best to get out of the move and Rina Sakaraba is telling her sister to hold on, but Yuki taps out, making Isabella the winner.
Melissa Flash: Isabella Verratti goes to Sin City and adds her name next to Roni De Vil and Miranda Minors in the Joker’s Wild Match! Yuki Sakaraba tried her hardest to keep on fighting, but the Poisonous IV was too much for her to handle!
Kat Ricci: Isabella bouncing back from that loss about a month ago. If she manages to lock in that move at Sin City, she could be in that position of that contract to pick the time and place for her future LAW Championship Match.
(Commercial break.)
(“Message to God” by Royal Hunt plays as April Song walks to the ring, holding a microphone. As her music dies down she raises the microphone to speak.)
April Song: Hey everyone, it’s great to be back in a ring! I took some time away, found myself, tried to be a vegan for a while, you know, the things people do when they have lost their way, but now I’m back, and ready to make an impact here in LAW! You’re all looking at a new April, a focused April! I know, I know, actions speak louder than words...that’s why I’m going to prove to you all that I’m on the rebound after I beat Santana Matthews for the Lethal Specialists title at Sin City! That’s just the beginning, though, after I win the title I’m -
(“California Love” starts playing as Santana Matthews, Specialists title around her waist, walks to the ring with a microphone of her own. Eyeing April cautiously, Santana enters the ring as her music fades out.)
Santana: Hey, sis, I’m glad you found yourself, but tell me that you aren’t still on that vegan kick? I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s great, y’know, if ya like going to bed at like 7 in the evening and not being able to lift anything...for real, though, April, I’m glad you’re back, but you’ve made a mistake...Sis, I ain’t no one’s redemption story. (Santana takes off the title from around her waist and holds it above her head with one arm.) I don’t care who you are or where you came from, this isn’t the “April Song” story, no ma’am!
(April nods while looking at the Lethal Specialists title.)
April: Yeah, I can respect that, just so long as you can respect the fact I’ve forgotten more about wrestling than you know right now! Santana, talented as you are, and I’ll give you that, you’re talented, but as talent as you have, a rookie is still a rookie. That’s what you are right now, and hey, don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad thing to be, but a rookie on a hot streak is a pale comparison to a veteran in her element. See, that’s what I am. Now, I respect you coming out to defend your territory, and I respect your confidence, but you’re in over your head with me, Santana, know that.
(Santana drops the title to her shoulder.)
Santana: Well, I’m glad we respect each other, April, I think we’re gonna have a Hell of a match...speaking of the match, before i came out I got word on what kind of match we’re going to have...it’s a Shell Game Match! Now, the rules are pretty straight forward, five briefcases will be hung over the ring, one will contain the LAW Lethal Specialists Title. The other four? Well, who knows, maybe they have money, or trash, or whatever, but the first of us to not only grab the correct briefcase, but also to open and reveal to everyone the title, will win the match! Now, it’s not my normal gig, I’ll give you that, but a champion fights, regardless of the match, so I’m going to prove to you, and the whole world, that I’m more than just a “rookie on a hot streak”. I’m the Lethal Specialists Champion, and redemption or not, your story is going to end in Vegas!
(Santana smirks and pats the title as April begins to speak)
April Song: Shell Game, eh? Well, come Sin City the odds are going to be in my favor, Santana, and I’m walking out the Lethal Specialists Champion!
(April pats the title on Santana’s shoulder, then leaves the ring as her music plays.)
Kat Ricci: Santana Matthews will be defending her title against April Song in a Shell Game Match? This is an interesting twist to the little rivalry these two have been having for the past few weeks and this might be out of both competitors comfort zones! I don’t know who happens to be in an advantage in this match, Melissa?
Melissa Flash: It’s going to be a far fight. This match is going to go down to who is the smarter opponent and knows where exactly the briefcase the title is at! I’m excited to see this match! Now, it’s our main event as Rina Sakaraba tries to redeem herself and make sure a Sakaraba sister has a place on the Sin City card as she takes on Jasmine Peyton, who has been under the radar the past few weeks and looks to earn herself another LAW Championship Match!
Main Event: Rina Sakaraba w/ Yuki Sakaraba vs. Jasmine Peyton w/Lieta Collins
Rina Sakaraba versus Jasmine Peyton is underway! The two move towards the middle and Rina tries to lock up but Jasmine counters into a hairpull snapmare and shoot kicks Rina’s back! Jasmine now pulls Rina up from behind and connects with a leg-hook German suplex! She tries a quick cover but Rina kicks out just at two! Jasmine hits the ropes and lands a running knee drop into Rina’s jaw and Rina tries crawling to the ropes but Jasmine follows up with another running knee drop, planting Rina’s face into the mat! Jasmine now locks in the cravate and begins to hit lifting knees! Rina reaches up and tries clawing even at Jasmine’s face in a desperate attempt to escape! Angry, Jasmine yanks Rina up and throws her into the corner, following with a hard knee to the gut! She grabs Rina by the face and yells “You scratched my face?!? You’re going to lose this match! Just like you did at Caged! Because you’re a failure!” Rina looks up at Jasmine but Jasmine slaps Rina across the cheek! Rina feels where the slap landed and looks up at Jasmine, letting out a primal scream!
Kat Ricci: It looks like something just unlocked inside of Rina’s mind! Or maybe it snapped? She still blames herself for the loss at Caged and wants to redeem herself!
Rina charges and tackles Jasmine to the ground before unloading multiple shots to the face! Jasmine eventually manages to get out from under and gets up right into a Warmachine (Stunner) from Rina! Rina makes the cover but Jasmine kicks out at the last instant! Rina pulls Jasmine up but Jasmine takes the eyes and shoves Rina into the corner! Rina stumbles face first into the turnbuckle and Jasmine comes and grabs ahold of her to connect with the Vanity Killer (Cross-legged fisherman driver) and makes the pin but Rina just slips her hand out to the rope at the last second! Jasmine drags the dazed Rina to the center of the ring and attempts to lock in Pretty Hurts (Bridging Cross-legged Boston crab) but Rina flips herself underneath and sends Jasmine into the ropes! Jasmine bounds backwards off the ropes into the Enter The Dragon (Bridging Dragon Suplex) from Rina who holds the bridge to make the pin and get the win!
Melissa Flash: Rina Sakaraba has qualified for the Joker’s Wild match at Sin City! She can win a chance at the LAW Championship!
Kat Ricci: I think we all thought Jasmine Peyton was the favorite to win but Rina fought back and got the upset! Jasmine is still stunned in the ring as Rina is elated on the rampway!
(Commercial break.)
(The scene fades in back from commercial break. The scene is the LAW Locker Room with Jasmine Peyton still stunned of the loss, sitting on a steel chair. Lieta Collins steps into the scene, noticing the look on Jasmine’s face.)
Lieta Collins: Are you okay, Jasmine?
(Jasmine looks at Lieta with a dumbfounded look on her face.)
Jasmine Peyton: Are you kidding me, Lieta? Where the hell were you in this match?
Lieta Collins: It seemed like you had the match under control until Rina Sakaraba surprised you with Enter The Dragon!
Jasmine Peyton: I hired you as my bodyguard to keep you from going back to MMA. I believed that you would be useful in this position. Perhaps, I was wrong?
Lieta Collins: If you want to fire me, go right ahead, Jasmine. But, I do believe I can be useful to you.
Jasmine Peyton: I don’t want to fire you, Lieta. In fact, we are going to use my loss tonight to help us in the future. We are going to come back stronger than ever. I promise that.
(Jasmine Peyton stands up and gets a bottled water from the cooler before looking back at Lieta Collins with a calm smirk on her face.)
Jasmine Peyton: We will bounce back and we are going to be the most intimidating duo in LAW. We will take this company by storm.
(Jasmine walks away from the scene as Lieta looks on before the scene transitions to ringside.)
Kat Ricci: Jasmine Peyton has something underneath her sleeve and I LOVE IT! Let’s see if Lieta Collins can pull her weight as a bodyguard.
(“Quickdraw” -- Gangstagrass plays as the crowd EXPLODES for LAW Champion, Daisy Thrash standing on top of the ramp. The LAW Championship is on her shoulder as she is seen smiling at the crowd giving her a positive reaction.)
Natasha Night: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time, the LETHAL ANGELS OF WRESTLING CHAMPION, DAAAAAAAAAISSSSSSSSSSSYYYYYYYYY THHHHRRRAAAASSSSSSHHHHHHH!!
Melissa Flash: Here is our LAW Champion, Kat! In two weeks, she walks into her first title defense against the undefeated Hikaru Suzuki at Sin City! Daisy Thrash has intentions of having a face-to-face confrontation between her challenger! These two women seem like they respect one another, so I don’t see this ending not well.
Kat Ricci: This may be the first peaceful face-to-face confrontation in LAW!
(“Quickdraw” fades away as Daisy Thrash is standing in the middle of the ring as the crowd continues to applaud her. Daisy is smiling at the crowd as she takes in the crowd cheering before speaking.)
Daisy Thrash: It’s always so amazing to be at the LAW Arena!
(The crowd cheers even more before a “Daisy” chant breaks out, before Daisy speaks again.)
Daisy Thrash: Everytime I’m here, I am always welcome with open arms and it gives me that fire and passion to compete with the best of my abilities! You guys are some of the main reasons why I am standing here as LAW Champion.
(The crowd begins to applaud Daisy as she nods her head in approval.)
Daisy Thrash: As LAW Champion, I promise to be a fighting champion. I promise to take on all challengers for the title! From LAW to JET to any wrestling promotion around the world, I am willing to step up to the plate against anyone in whatever roster. Hikaru Suzuki is someone I did not expect to be my first title defense. It’s no shade to her, but to me, she has been under the radar. She’s been competing in lower card matches and to see her step up and take me on is quite interesting because just the woman I took this title off, she is undefeated in LAW. Hikaru has yet to be met with a loss and it seems like Madam Vega placed her in my way as a true test of what kind of wrestler Daisy Thrash is, but I’m not shaken. What I proved with my match with Miranda Minors is that even the undefeated can be defeated eventually and for Hikaru, I plan for that to happen at Sin City.
(“Lifted” -- CL plays as the crowd gives a positive reaction to Hikaru Suzuki who is smiling to the crowd before stepping inside the ring against Daisy Thrash. Hikaru goes to the corner and gets a microphone before meeting Daisy face-to-face as “Lifted” fades away.)
Hikaru Suzuki: Daisy, I respect you and that is never going to change, but you out all people should know how it feels to watch people walk past you and take things that should belong to you. I’ve been in the shadows far too long! I have watched women like yourself, Miranda Minors and Wolfegang Symphony and many more just gets these huge opportunities. Me? I have competed, left everything and this ring and I’m just being rewarded for my hard work? I’ve been undefeated since the first day I walked through those doors. While people were focusing on Miranda Minors’ winning streak, people did not realize that I had a winning streak of my own and people are just recognizing that now? Hikaru Suzuki is 5-0 in LAW and after Sin City, I’ll be tying with Miranda Minors’ winning streak. Your title reign ends there, Daisy.
Daisy Thrash: Like I said before, Hikaru, all winning streaks come to an end. I’m not saying this to discourage you. I think you’re an amazing wrestler. You are probably a future champion in your own right, but I do not think that this is the time and place for Hikaru Suzuki to shock the world and become LAW Champion. Sin City is not the place for you to shock the world, but it will happen.
Hikaru Suzuki: You’re right. The place to shock the world is now--
Melissa Flash: HIKARU SUZUKI JUST BASHED THE MICROPHONE TO DAISY THRASH’S FACE! DAISY DROPS TO THE GROUND AS HIKARU BEGINS TO MOUNT AWAY WITH MICROPHONE PUNCHES TO DAISY’S FOREHEAD! WHAT IS HIKARU DOING?
Kat Ricci: HIKARU SUZUKI IS CHOOSING NOW TO BE THE TIME SHE MAKES AN IMPACT! HIKARU GETS OFF OF DAISY AS DAISY GETS BACK UP TO HER FEET! STARLIGHT STARBRIGHT! THE SPIN KICK ON DAISY THRASH AS SHE GOES DOWN! HIKARU JUST SUPERKICKED THE LAW CHAMPION! DAISY IS DOWN AS HIKARU SEES THE LAW CHAMPIONSHIP LYING ON DAISY’S SIDE! HIKARU PICKS IT UP AS SHE RAISES THE CHAMPIONSHIP HIGH IN THE AIR! THE CROWD IS TORN ABOUT HIKARU'S ACTIONS!
Melissa Flash: I don’t think Hikaru wishes harm on Daisy, but she just wanted to be an impact and prove that she could be the next LAW Champion! If Hikaru connects with Starlight Starbright at Sin City, she will be the LAW Champion!
Kat Ricci: Is this picture foreshadowing events yet to come at Sin City? We’ll have to find that out in two weeks as Daisy Thrash takes on Hikaru Suzuki! As for right now, we are out of time! I am Kat Ricci! She is Melissa Flash and we’re signing off!
(The last vision is with Hikaru Suzuki raising the LAW Championship high with her foot on Daisy’s stomach. The LAW and IJWF logos are shown as it fades to black.)
