Episode 13: "Together and United."
(COLD OPEN: The camera pans to the Lethal Tag Team Champions, Sweet Winter, Sweet Roxy and Kayla Winters in the middle of the ring. The LAW fans are heard booing at the two women as Sweet Roxy and Kayla do not look phased at all.)
Kayla Winters: Wow, we are sure feeling the love tonight.
Sweet Roxy: For those that are slow minded, she was being sarcastic.
Kayla Winters: It’s no use trying to teach these peasants about sarcasm, Roxy. I mean, these are the same peasants who should be fortunate of the fact that we are the ones representing LAW at Collision Course as we put up our Lethal Tag Team Championships against Ching Chong Takeover’s Rio Kurokawa and Saint Saito. All I have to say is that…are you joking? Are you trying to pull a fast on on the champions? I mean, what makes them more special than me?
Sweet Roxy: What makes them better than me?
Kayla Winters: I tried to watch an episode of JET a few weeks ago, and it was difficult for me to do. Like, you people should be respecting a woman, who nearly had to risk her health to watch the competition. On that specific episode of JET, I think we got somewhat of an introduction with one of our opponents, Rio Kurokawa. Apparently, she is supposed to be this “superior athlete”, but that’s what I’ve always been. I’ve always been the best in everything I’ve tried. I’ve always excelled and risen to every challenge given to me. The moment that Rio got herself involved in professional wrestling, people had these high expectations that she would be the best in the business.
Sweet Roxy: She’s similar to me in a way as well, Kayla. Just like me, she is someone who comes from a family of wrestlers. Most notably, she is the granddaughter of Koji Kurokawa and Ayaka Hironaka. She is the daughter of
Keiji Kurokawa and Rina Hirano. What a lovely family Rio has, but it means nothing in comparison to the last name, Vendetta. Her linage does not intimidate me. Just like mine shouldn’t intimidate her. She should be much like me as she is constantly changing the mold of what people have been accustomed to when they see her parents and grandparents. I know, I have done my best to make sure that people don’t think of my parents when they look at me. I want people to focus on Sweet Roxy. I want people to know that I am the best thing to happen to Lethal Angels of Wrestling and women’s wrestling in general.
Kayla Winters: We are the best things to happen to women’s wrestling. Women like Saint Saito are not. I mean, Saint is who you call a “lazy slacker with a mean streak”. Look at my body everyone and you can see that Kayla Winters is not lazy or a slacker. I have done my part to make sure “Sweet Winter” as people are now dubbing us on social media remains on top even when there are those who are just anticipating for us to implode. Don’t get me wrong, Sweet Roxy has a punchable face, but I am not thinking about punching her for the time being.
(Sweet Roxy has a look on her face like she is contemplating whether to knock Kayla Winters in her place or just pretend that she didn’t say anything at all.)
Sweet Roxy: Honey, I am trying to be on my best mood and the only thing that is preventing me from punching you in the face is the fact that I would love nothing more than to keep these Lethal Tag Team Championships in LAW and away from those JET losers. I like to think you think that too, so it would be best not to get on my bad side. Alright?
Kayla Winters: Perhaps, but let’s not forget who costed us the match against Sugar and Spice last week…
Sweet Roxy: You said that we weren’t going to bring that up. I thought you were a woman of your word, Winters.
Kayla Winters: I’m just concerned because you seemed pretty unbeatable coming into LAW. I don’t want you to lose any of that steam going into Collision Course.
Sweet Roxy: You don’t need to worry about me losing any steam. One loss is not going to mean anything when I lead our team to victory at Collision Course.
Kayla Winters: WE are going to decimate our competition like we did Wolfegang Symphony and The Sakaraba Sisters. We are going to add Saint Saito and Rio Kurokawa onto that list and we are going to walk out of Collision Course STILL Lethal Tag Team Champions!
Sweet Roxy: If you women aren’t worried now, you should because we’re going to crush any hope you guys have of taking these titles from us!
(“Ghost” — Square Hammer plays as Sweet Roxy and Kayla Winters drop their microphones as they raise their titles up in the air.)
Melissa Flash: I feel like if these two can get on the same page for Collision Course, we may have a chance of keeping those titles with LAW.
Kat Ricci: Saint Saito and Rio Kurokawa need to take the champions as threats! These two women have put tag teams on the shelves and it looks like they’re going to add JET’s representatives for the titles on the list next!
Opening Match: The Empress vs. Mikela Juhász
For the opening contest, The Empress takes on Mikela Juhász. Mikela and The Empress lock up as Mikela connects with a back kick. She bounces from the ropes before connecting with a shoulder block on The Empress. The Empress goes down instantly. Mikela bounces from the ropes before connecting with a basement dropkick. The Empress goes down as Mikela goes for the cover. The Empress kicks out at one and a half. Mikela goes on The Empress and connects with a camel clutch. The Empress is struggling to make it to the bottom rope, but Mikela tries to apply more pressure onto the hold.
Melissa Flash: Mikela Juhász is doing a good job with grounding The Empress. The Empress is going to need to look for some way to make a comeback in this match up!
Mikela has the camel clutch on for a while longer before just dropping The Empress’ head down. Mikela begins to stomp on The Empress’ head. It reaches to a point where the official needs to back away Mikela. The Empress tries to get to a seated position and holds the back of her head. As soon as Mikela is doing talking to the official, Mikela goes back to The Empress and tries to go a roundhouse on The Empress, but The Empress gets out of the way and tries to go for a roll up, but Mikela quickly kicks out at two. Both women are back on their feet as The Empress connects with a hurricanrana on Mikela. The Empress follows that up with a dropkick on Mikela and another dropkick afterwards!
Kat Ricci: The Empress is looking amazing!
The Empress gets herself back up to her feet. Mikela Juhász slowly rises back to her feet before The Empress connects with a Kiss My Boot (Bicycle Kick). The Empress has her arms out in confidence before she is looking at Mikela, who is slowly rising back to her feet. The Empress connects with one last kick before getting Mikela and connecting with the Queen's Paradox (Corkscrew neckbreaker) as she wins the match.
Melissa Flash: The Empress stands tall in her debut match! Mikela Juhász looked impressive and she’ll get a victory, but The Empress looked impressive! She is something you need to be on a look out for!
(Winner: The Empress via pinfall.)
(Team LAW — Roni De Vil and Jessica Rose are backstage warming up for their matches later in the night. Hayley Valentine and Sidney Knight are trying to talk about their game plans for tonight as a knock on the door is heard.)
Jessica Rose: Come in!
(A door is heard opening as it is revealed to be Cameron Ella Ava. The crowd in the LAW Arena is seen exploding in cheers as Cameron is smiling at her team.)
Cameron Ella Ava: I hope I’m not interrupting anything, but with Collision Course around the corner, I just want tell the four of you something.
Sidney Knight: Is there anything wrong?
Cameron Ella Ava: No, everything’s fine. I just want to warn you guys about how brand or in this case, promotion wars can be quite dangerous. When you guys accepted the opportunity to be part of Team LAW, you knew that you were going to get a target on your back. In this case, Joshi Extreme Takeover’s team is going to be setting their eyes on you to make a statement before going into this huge event. They’re going to be entering our territory and trying to embarrass us and I know, that’s the last thing we want going on.
Hayley Valentine: They can try to attack us from any direction possible, we’ll be ready for them.
Cameron Ella Ava: That’s the type of attitude that I wanted to hear, Hayley, but I want to make sure that I got everything covered. Until Collision Course, I want to make sure that my team is in one piece. We all saw what happened to Isabella Verratti at Limelight and I cannot afford for any of my other girls to end up like she did. Roni, I know your match against April Song is next, but I want Hayley to accompany you into the match and to have your back.
Roni De Vil: I appreciate the gesture, but Hayley and I know that I have this match covered. I’m not going to fall like Isabella did.
Cameron Ella Ava: Isabella thought the same way you did and we saw what happened. Look, with Team JET watching or possibly lurking, I want to make sure there’s at least someone else surrounding the ring to make sure nothing gets out of hand. Jessica, I would like Sidney to accompany you in the main event tonight.
Jessica Rose: Of course. We cannot afford any fallen soldiers.
Roni De Vil: Alright, fine. At least, it’s Hayley and I know, that she won’t mess up anything. Now, if you excuse me, I have to kick April’s ass.
(Roni De Vil slides past Cameron Ella Ava. Hayley Valentine follows Roni out the locker room as Cameron looks out the way they went out.)
Second Match: April Song vs. Roni De Vil w/ Hayley Valentine
With the match underway, April Song and Roni De Vil meet in the middle of the ring. April tries to get one of Roni’s arms and twists it around, but Roni manages to slide out of that and get April by her waist before slamming her stomach first on the mat. Some basic mat wrestling is done as Roni has a headlock on April, before the two women rise to her feet. April manages to slide out of the headlock and pushes Roni towards the ropes. Roni bounces of the ropes before April connects with an arm drag on Roni. April gets Roni by her right arm. Roni is on her side before April drops Roni’s arm back. Instantly, Roni jumps and yells in pain!
Kat Ricci: Roni De Vil is not looking quite good at the moment! April Song is looking like she is trying to wear down any body part of Roni’s that could give her some edge in this match!
April Song is on her back as she is circling around Roni De Vil, who is still on the mat. A few moments pass by before April slowly begins to apply with the Prison Lock (Kneeling figure-four leglock). Roni is crying out in pain as she is trying her best to go for the bottom rope. Hayley Valentine is trying to rally her Team LAW partner on to get back into this match up. Roni struggles with the Prison Lock for about a minute more before she slowly scratches for the bottom rope. About a minute later, Roni manages to reach for the bottom rope. The official does his count before April releases the hold.
Melissa Flash: Roni De Vil is going to need to step up! The Lethal Specialists Champion is looking good at the moment!
Roni De Vil manages to get back on her feet as April races after Roni and grabs her by the waist. April tries to go for a German Suplex, but Roni manages to land on her feet. April turns around right away and Roni connects with a roundhouse kick on April Song. April goes down instantly before Roni gets April back up to her feet and whips her to the corner. Roni runs before connecting with a meteora as Roni bounces off April. April stumbles forward before Roni connects with a Roni FM (Pop-up powerbomb; sometimes onto the ring apron). Roni goes for a cover, but April kicks out at two! Roni gets April back up to her feet before she gets the Lethal Specialists Champion in position for The Hawthorne Effect (Delayed lifting reverse STO). April manages to jump free out of the STO before kicking Roni with switchblade kick. Quickly, April connects with a Swan Song (Small package driver) as stays for the cover! Roni kicks out close to three, but the official considers it a victory for April!
Kat Ricci: April Song nearly escapes with a victory over Roni De Vil, but there was no way that was a three count, Mel! Roni is not looking like a happy camper as she and Hayley Valentine are trying to argue with the official over his counting!
(Winner: April Song via pinfall)
(Madam Vega is seen on her phone backstage. She is pacing back and forth as she hears a knock on the door.)
Madam Vega: I’ll talk to you later.
(Madam Vega hangs up the phone.)
Madam Vega: Come in!
(April Song walks into the camera shot as the crowd pops for the Lethal Specialists Champion, who has the title on her shoulder.)
April Song: Hey Vega, a producer told me that you wanted to see me?
Madam Vega: Yes, this was something that I needed to inform you as soon as possible, but there is some conflict about your title defense at Collision Course.
April Song: Is Kristina Von Doom backing down?
Madam Vega: Nope, but it does involve her. You see, when Kristina accepted your challenge on the last episode of LAW, she didn’t realize that it would conflict with some scheduled appearances that she had already committed too. She is just a few weeks shy from retiring from professional wrestling as a whole and she would love to end her career on a good note. Unfortunately, your match against Kristina is off due to those conflicts beyond our control.
(The crowd begins to boo as April Song sighs before taking the championship off her shoulder.)
April Song: Am I going to need to go to the ring and throw out the challenge again?
Madam Vega: There’s no need to do that, April. I have been in contact with promotions like JET, RCW, SSS, BAW, and Sakura Pro. I have been trying to make deals about your next opponent and avoiding any other scheduling conflicts. But, I have found your next opponent.
(April Song smirks as she looks at the Lethal Specialists Championship.)
April Song: When will I find out who my opponent is?
Madam Vega: Right now. She just entered my office.
(The camera pans to…Talia Areano from Rose City Wrestling. Talia has a huge smile on her face as she approaches Madam Vega and the two women give a business handshake. Her demeanor changes when she sees April Song locking eyes with her. The two women have a staredown. April tries to be intimidating as possible, while Talia tries to keep up with April’s intimidating look, but seems to have a calmer look on her face.)
Madam Vega: April, this is Talia Areano, much like Kristina, she’s from Rose City Wrestling, but she is all around the independent wrestling scene. This woman has such an impressive resume. She’s the current GZWA Women’s Champion and a WWA TV Champion. I know how much you take pride of being a submission specialists, April, but Talia is a luchadora and a veteran in the wrestling business. She puts her heart into every move she performs in the ring. She is a firm believer that hard work can achieve anything in this world. She was personally recommended by Rose City Wrestling and she was the first woman to step up to the plate to face you. At Collision Course, it will be April Song vs. Talia Areano for the Lethal Specialists Championship!
(The crowd pops for the big announcement! Talia Areano is nodding her head in approval. April Song nods her head as well as she smirks.)
April Song: I’m impressed, Vega. I didn’t think that you’ve been trying to make deals and I admire the effort that you’ve been putting to make sure that this Lethal Specialists Championship stays on the card. People would think that the change of opponent would throw me off my game, but I don’t train for just one type of opponent. I make sure that I train for any type of opponent who is willing to stand toe-to-toe with the champion. The change of opponents doesn’t phase me whatsoever. I resume my training the way I have and at Collision Course, Talia, you will just tap out.
Talia Areano: You’re not phased now, but the moment you step into the ring against me, you are going to be in for a surprise. I get it, I’m not Kristina Von Doom. I am not the opponent you were looking forward facing. I’m not as strong and muscular as she is. I’m nothing more than a woman, who has spent the last decade around the independent wrestling scene just taking any opportunity presented to me and making sure that they never forget the name Talia Arenao.
April Song: Prove me wrong, kid because you’re not convincing me that you can take this title away from me.
( With that last statement from the Lethal Specialists Champion, April Song walks out the camera shot and out of the office. Talia Areano and Madam Vega are the only ones in the office as they look at the direction April went.)
Talia Areano: I’ll prove you wrong. No need to worry.
Main Event: Mitra Marvel vs. Jessica Rose w/Sidney Knight (Daisy Thrash on commentary)
To close out this episode of LAW, Joshi Extreme Takeovers, Mitra Marvel squared off against Sugar and Spice’s, Jessica Rose! Right off the bat, the two women showed some good sportsmanship by shaking each other’s hands. The two back away from each other before locking it up! Jessica manages to twist Mitra’s arm around, but Mitra counters and wraps her arms around Jessica’s waist before going for a German suplex, but Jessica is able to catch herself on her feet. Jessica goes for a clothesline, but Mitra ducks, bounces to and from the ropes and connects with a back elbow when Jessica tried to get Mitra from behind. Mitra follows that up with a bulldog as Jessica is on the ground. Mitra exchanges a look at Daisy Thrash at the commentary table before connecting with a handspring moonsault and goes for the cover.
Melissa Flash: What a beautiful handspring moonsault!
Daisy Thrash: That was nice, but I’m not wowed.
Jessica Rose kicks out at two as Mitra Marvel gets herself up as well as Jessica. Jessica connects with an elbow to Mitra’s stomach, but Mitra is not letting go of her. Jessica connects with another pointy elbow at Mitra as she was successful in releasing her hold on Jessica. With an opening, Jessica decides to take advantage by bounces from the ropes and connecting with a crossbody. Mitra goes down. Jessica quickly gets herself back to her feet as she waits for Mitra to rise back to her feet. Mitra begins to slowly rise back up and Jessica sees that it is the perfect opportunity to connect with the RIDER KICK (spirngboard dropkick). Jessica quickly follows that up with a Super Driver Kick (superkick to to a kneeling opponent) as she goes for the cover, but Mitra kicks out a two.
Kat Ricci: Mitra Marvel is not backing down! Jessica needs to put down the JET scum!
Melissa Flash: Kat, be respectful! Mitra is a talented woman and she was doing well for the first part of the match, I want to see if she can make a comeback!
Jessica Rose gets to her knees as Sidney Knight is applauding her tag team partner. Jessica gets Mitra Marvel back to her feet as it looks like she is getting Mitra on her shoulders! Jessica tries to drop Mitra for the Wrecking Burst (Bennadryller), but Mitra slowly exits from Jessica’s shoulders! Mitra with a Golden Hour (Discus Big Boot). Mitra goes for the cover, but Jessica Rose kicks out at two. Mitra is wondering what she I going to need to do in order to put Jessica down for the three count. Mitra gets Jessica up and connects with a German, but just like in the beginning of the match, Jessica is able to land on her feet! Mitra turns around and Jessica with a roundhouse to Mitra! Jessica Rose picks up Mitra Marvel for the Wrecking Burst.
Melissa Flash: Wait a minute? What is Sweet Winter doing out here? There’s surrounding Sidney Knight!
Kayla Winters and Sweet Roxy begin to pummel away on Sidney Knight, who manages to get offense with some punches on her own for a moment, but the number’s game ends up being too much for her! Sweet Roxy and Kayla Winters make their way up the ramp to avoid Jessica’s anger. Jessica Rose is yelling for Kayla and Roxy to go away, but Mitra Marvel manages to roll-up Jessica Rose for an upset victory!
Melissa Flash: Jessica Rose was robbed on the victory! Mitra Marvel was smart to take advantage of the situation, but Jessica Rose was robbed!
Daisy Thrash: Mitra is going to need to be really smart if she wants to win this LAW Championship, but I am not going to let go of this anytime soon.
(Winner: Mitra Marvel via pinfall)
(Mitra Marvel is checking on Jessica Rose, who is helping Sidney Knight up to her feet as Sugar and Spice leave the ring. Mitra Marvel has a staredown with Daisy Thrash, takes off her headset and raises the LAW Championship up in the air as the LAW and IJWF logo appears and it fades to black.)
