Sweet Winters angry in the ring looking at Sugar and Spice at the ramp with "Karma's a Bitch" being the last word that is said.)
(The camera pans to the packed LAW Arena in Boyle Heights, California. There, we see a various of signs and when the camera passes by the fans, they begin to cheer and raise their signs up. “Cherrybomb” by the Runaways plays through the speakers as the crowd gives a positive reaction to Madam Vega, who comes out smiling and waving to the crowd.)
Natasha Night: Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to the General Manager of LAW, MAAADAAAAAMMMMM VEEEEGGGGAAAA!!
Melissa Flash: Welcome to Monday Night LAW! Live from the LAW Arena in Boyle Heights, California! I am Melissa Flash!
Kat Ricci: And, I’m Kat Ricci! Tonight, we begin the road to Lethal Hearts as we begin the LAW Championship Tournament for the vacant title!
Melissa Flash: Indeed, Kat! Madam Vega is out here to give us a little information about Lethal Hearts and this tournament!
(“Cherrybomb” dies down as Madam Vega stands in the middle of the ring with a microphone in her hand.)
Madam Vega: Hello, everyone! In the last episode of LAW, I mentioned the untimely injure of our LAW Champion, Daisy Thrash, which led her to vacate the championship. I mentioned something about a tournament and the two finalists will face each other at Lethal Hearts for the LAW Championship! Over the past week, I have been trying to think of the best talents to fill up the brackets. As of right now, I have thought of six competitors confirmed for this tournament!
(A picture of Sweet Roxy shows at the titantron as the crowd begins to boo.)
Madam Vega: Sweet Roxy!
(A picture of Sidney Knight appears as the crowd cheers.)
Madam Vega: Sidney Knight!
(A picture of April Song appears to a mixed reaction.)
Madam Vega: April Song!
(A picture of Agatha Marselinna appears as the crowd cheers.)
Madam Vega: Agatha Marselinna!
(A picture of Kayla Winters appears as the crowd boos.)
Madam Vega: Kayla Winters!
(A picture of Roni De Vil appears as the crowd gives a huge pop.)
Madam Vega: Roni De Vil! We have two more spots available and Consuela Rose Ava and myself will give it to the women, who will utilize it and prove that they can be LAW Champion! We start the first half of round one tonight. The next episode will be the rest of round one. The following will be one match of round two and the one after will be the other match of round two. At Lethal Hearts, the two finalists will face off for the LAW Championship in a match concept that was debuted at the Supershow Alliance back in May — the Lethal Ladder Match! However, I decided to up the ante with the type of match. You know how wrestling uses the standard 15ft ladder? Well, not in LAW. Instead of the 15ft ladder, we are going to add an extra five inches and make it 20ft.
(The crowd begins to cheer as Madam Vega smiles.)
Madam Vega: Hanging above that will be the LAW Championship and the first woman to retrieve that will be champion! Well, I’m not going to hold this show hostage any longer! Let’s start off with a first round match in the LAW Championship Tournament!
Opening Match: LAW Championship Tournament Round One: Sweet Roxy w/ Kayla Winters vs. Sidney Knight w/Jessica Rose
For the opener of LAW, Lethal Tag Team Champion Sweet Roxy would take on Sidney Knight! The two women lock up as Sidney Knight manages to get the upper hand in this match! Sidney goes for a headlock takedown, but Sweet Roxy manages to get back up, but Sidney maintains the hold! Roxy manages to push Sidney towards the ropes, but manages to catch herself! The British Killjoy manages to renounce herself from the ropes, but Sweet Roxy connects with an armdrag that takes down the former Lethal Tag Team Champion! Roxy tries to being Sidney’s arm back as Sidney cries out in pain! Roxy smacks Sidney’s arm back against the mat, making Sidney flinch and hold her arm in pain! Kayla Winters applauds her partner from ring side as Roxy continues to inflict as much pain as possible!
Kat Ricci: It seems like Sweet Roxy has found a limb to pick on! She is probably my favorite to win the tournament!
Sweet Roxy picks up Sidney Knight by the right arm, which Roxy had been working on injury! Roxy whips Sidney to the ropes! Sidney stays near the ropes, but Roxy runs after her with a dropkick as that sends Sidney through the middle ropes. Sidney Knight finds herself on the outside as Kayla Winters goes to get a few kicks in, but Jessica Rose gets right behind Sidney and prevents that from happening! With that distraction, Sweet Roxy connects with a crossbody from the top turnbuckle! Roxy manages to land on both members of Sugar and Spice! Roxy gets Sidney and rolls her back into the ring as she goes for the cover, but Sidney kicks out at two!
Melissa Flash: Sidney Knight needs to look for some sort of way to make a comeback in this match!
Sweet Roxy applies headlock on Sidney Knight. This happens for about a minute until Sidney Knight musters enough strength to push Sweet Roxy out of the way. With the free room, Sidney connects with a London Blackout (modified headscissors to the turnbuckle) as Sweet Roxy goes to her back! Sidney continues on the offense as she follows that up with getting Sweet Roxy by her right arm and connecting with a running springboard arm drag before going for the cover! Sweet Roxy kicks out at two! Sidney decides that she needs to end this match as soon as possible! She locks in The Knight’s Cross (Headscissors Takedown into Fujiwara Armbar) as Sweet Roxy is trying out in pain! Kayla Winters is trying to root for her partner to hold on and look for a way out.
Melissa Flash: Kayla Winters is on the apron! Sidney Knight releases the hold on Sweet Roxy as she is yelling at Kayla Winters!
Kat Ricci: Jessica Rose grabs Kayla Winters by her ankles and pulls her down! Kayla’s face hits the apron as she goes down!
With Sidney Knight focused on the action outside of the ring, Sweet Roxy blindsides Sidney and pulls her by her hair and connects with The Iron Throne (Electric Chair Front Drop)! Roxy follows that up with The Mafiosa Ambush (Running Spike Hurricanrana) before pinning Sidney and winning the match!
Melissa Flash: I think Kayla Winters played a huge part in helping Sweet Roxy secure that victory!
Kat Ricci: Nah, that was all Sweet Roxy as she advances to the next round of the LAW Championship Tournament!
(Winner — Sweet Roxy)
( The camera transitions to backstage where Consuela Rose Ava was watching Sweet Roxy vs. Sidney Knight. Consuela sighs as she knows that it will be a handful handing these two teams.)
Unknown voice: Hola, boss!
(Consuela sighs again as she turns around to find Revy standing in front of her. The crowd is heard giving a pop to Revy.)
Revy: Wanted to see me?
Consuela Rose Ava: Yes, I managed to talk to Cameron a few days ago. We discussed your status in LAW and Cameron wasn’t willing to give you a contract.
Revy: Is Cameron still holding that grudge?
Consuela Rose Ava: It was her husband, Revy.
Revy: And, your point is?
Consuela Rose Ava: *facepalm* Look, Cameron doesn’t want you in LAW and I was bending over backwards to even have Cam agree with this stipulation.
Revy: What is it?
Consuela Rose Ava: First, Cam has agreed with the idea of letting you participate in the LAW Championship Tournament.
Revy: How nice of her! What’s the catch?
Consuela Rose Ava: If you don’t win this tournament, you’re out of here.
Revy: Pffttt. All I have to do is win this tournament? Piece of cake.
Consuela Rose Ava: Revy, you haven’t won much in your wrestling career. :eyes:
Revy: That’s about to change, Suela.
Consuela Rose Ava: Don’t call me that. :unamused:
Revy: I’ll play Cameron’s game and when I win, I want Cameron to personally give me the LAW Championship and raise my hand.
Consuela Rose Ava: Ugh, fine.
Revy: Great! Now, if you excuse me, I have a match to prepare for!
(Revy eagerly walks out of the scene as Consuela tries to get a word in about Revy’s match being next week, but Consuela decides not too as she sighs and looks back at the television.)
Singles Match: Rina Sakaraba vs. The Empress
The match begins with both women getting in each other’s face, it seems that The Empress is mouthing off to the Sakaraba sister saying that she isn’t on her level. That seems to have ticked off Rina as she immediately attacks The Empress with forearms. Rina has pushed her opponent to her corner as the ref gets Rina to back off which lets The Empress a chance to take advantage and kicks Rina’s knee which causes her to fall down to one knee. Now the Empress takes this chance to hit the Punk Rock Princess with a “Kiss My Boot” (bicycle kick)! Cover by the Empress but Rina is able to kick out at 2.
The match soon turned was on The Empress’ side as she worked a slow pace and grounded the Sakaraba Sister. Rina wasn’t able to get any moment and whenever she did, The Punk Rock Princess was immediately grounded. The crowd was heavily behind Rina throughout the match as she was able to fight back and return to the offensive with forearms to The Empress. The crowd got louder with each forearm as Rina now runs the rope and back with another forearm shot! Rina now goes for an “Enter The Dragon” (Bridging Dragon Suplex) but it’s countered by Empress who escapes and snapmares the attempt before following with a low front dropkick! Another cover by The Empress but again Rina is able to kick out!
You can see frustration set in for the Empress as she gets her opponent up for a Queen’s Paradox but Rina is able to escape out of the move as The Empress was going for her finishing Corkscrew Neckbreaker! Sakaraba now gets The Empress for in for an Apollo 11 (Fireman’s Carry into a Roundhouse) AND IT HITS! The Empress is still wobbly and isn’t down as Rina now follows it up with a Warmachine (Stunner)! The Empress is finally down as Rina now climbs the top rope with the crowd cheering her on! Here it comes! MAXIMUM THE SPLASH (Stretch-Out Frog Splash) FROM RINA SAKARABA! It’s enough as Rina is able to pick a big singles match win!
(Winner — Rina Sakaraba)
(The camera cuts backstage as we’re inside the office of Commissioner Consuela as she has just finished a meeting on the phone with someone until barge in. We see that person to be Ruby Auriel as Consuela looks pissed. Auriel doesn’t seem to care as she’s pissed.)
Ruby Auriel: Not a bad looking office you’ve got here, Consuela. I was hoping to meet with Cam personally since she’s the big brain of this whole operation but I guess you will work instead.
Consuela Rose Ava: Can I know what’s brought you to my office? You’re not booked for tonight’s show at all.
(Ruby shakes her head as she looks directly at the LAW Commissioner.)
Ruby Auriel: That’s exactly why I’m here! One of LAW’s biggest things was them promising opportunities to wrestlers, a bright light of the big stage. I’ve been here since October and nothing yet, all I’ve seen is people like Jessica Rose being given opportunities. Jessica Rose, Agatha Marselinna… those kinds of girls aren’t anything special, but someone like me. I’m born and destined for greatness but here I am, not getting the chance. I’ve had one match since signing my contract, so either I get the chance I deserve or I’ll look for promotions that know talent when they see it.
(Consuela seems to be listening as she doesn’t say a word before Ruby is finished.)
Consuela Rose Ava: You want an opportunity? Well be happy, you’ve impressed me and there’s one spot left in the championship tournament. Think of this as the big chance you really crave, you want a chance to show why you deserve me, well you've got it and your opponent is Revy! Now get out of my office right this moment.
(Ruby seems to get in the face of Consuela Rose Ava before walking out of the office as the camera cuts somewhere else.)
(The scene transitions to Maria Cuesta with a microphone in her hand and a huge smile on her face. She is with her next guest.)
Maria Cuesta: Hello, LAW universe, please welcome my guest at this time on half to the LAW tag team champions, Kayla Winters.
Kayla Winters: Yeah, Yeah, just ask your questions.
Maria Cuesta: Okay, tonight both you and Roxy are competing in the LAW championship tournament, with you facing a multi-time champion in April Song.
Kayla Winters: I admit she good, but every time I walked through the doors of LAW, I’ve been the person people have been talking about, Roxy and I have become the most dominant tag team in this companies history, and tonight we start the road to adding more gold to Sweet Winters.
Maria Cuesta: So what would happen if you and Roxy meet in the finals?
Kayla Winters: LAW will get the best match in the company's history.
Maria Cuesta: So what about the team of Jessica Rose and Sidney Knight?
Kayla Winters: What about them?
Maria Cuesta: They seem determined to take the titles from you.
Kayla Winters: So has every other team since we won these titles, and every time we walk out the champions, they will be no different, they will be losers like all the rest.
(Kayla Winters stops speaking as she leaves the camera shot, leaving Maria Cuesta who looks at the direction the Lethal Tag Team Champion left in.)
Main Event: LAW Championship Tournament Round One: April Song vs Kayla Winters w/ Sweet Roxy
The match starts off with a traditional collar-and-elbow tie-up. Each woman is testing the ability of the other. April gets the upper hand with a wrist lock. Kayla counters with a leg trip and attempts an ankle lock. Song kicks her away and scrambles to her feet. April hits a couple of stiff kicks to the midsection, with Kayla blocking the third. She counters with a Knee bar, but April rolls backwards out of it and goes for a Fujiwara armbar. Kayla counters with a schoolgirl roll-up! April kicks out at two! Kayla decides to slow things down with a couple of working holds. Sweet Roxy is cheering on her teammate from the outside. April struggles to get free, but Kayla switches to a body scissors hold. April maneuvers her way to the ropes and grab on. Kayla breaks the hold at the four count and pushes April’s head in disrespect.Song glares at her opponent as Sweet Roxy laughs from the outside.
Melissa Flash: In an attempt to play mind games, Kayla Winters is trying to get in the head of April Song, who’s keeping her composure.
Kat Ricci: This isn’t the first time someone has tried to get in the head of The Lethal Specialist Champion and it won’t be the last! Her biggest concern should be keeping an eye on Sweet Roxy.
April initiates another lock-up, but feints and knocks Kayla off her feet with a double-leg takedown. She makes a smooth transition to a Boston Crab, and locks it in place. While Kayla tries to reach out for the ropes, Roxy pushes them towards her partner for an easier rope break. Her presence was just outside the ref’s field of vision, who urges April to break the hold. Song releases the submission and drags Winters to the center of the ring. She hits the Widow Maker (inverted stomp facebreaker) and follows up with a running Bee Stinger (running double stomp). April tries her luck with a pin, but Kayla kicks out at two! Frustrated, April climbs to the nearest top rope. Sweet Roxy immediately climbs the apron and attempts to distract the ref and April. Song climbs down and makes a beeline for Roxy, but is Kayla intercepts with a SPECIAL K SPEAR TO THE OUTSIDE! April is knocked off the apron as both women land outside.
Melissa Flash: What. A. Spear! The distraction from Sweet Roxy paid off, leaving a half dead April Song on the outside!
Kat Ricci: The ref is beginning the count as- what’s this? Sidney Knight is making her way to the ring! Sweet Roxy is livid! She’s demanding they leave the ring!
Kayla Winters is the first to get to her feet and sees her partner preoccupied. She walks up to Sidney and points at the back while yelling. Meanwhile, Jessica Rose slides out from underneath the apron and pulls April closer to the apron. Song slides back into the ring just before Kayla turns around. Winters heads to the ring and makes it just before the ten count! She ducks April’s roundhouse kick, and counters with a spinning backfist! April catches the strike in time and pulls her in for a Swan Song (Small package driver) to secure the victory!
Melissa Flash: She’s done it! April Song has advanced in the tournament!
Kat Ricci: With the help of Knight and Rose! But I guess karma is a thing, huh?
Melissa Flash: Winters and Roxy are upset! Knight is making her way up the ramp as Rose makes her escape through the audience! Song grabs her title and slides out of the ring a soon as Roxy comes storming into the ring! I’m sure this isn’t the end of the conflict between Sweet Winters and Knight/Rose! We’ll see you next time as we continue the Lethal Angel Championship Tournament!
(Winner — April Song)
(The camera fades out on the upset tag champions as the LAW and IJWF logos appear on the screen.)
