Midori Miyamoto zumi
(Both competitors have taken their seat as Yoko Kudo is the first to speak.) Yoko Kudo: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the Press Conference for the JET World Championship match between Midori Miyamoto and KAGUYA. I'm giving both of you the freedom to say what you want but any violence will result in the match being voided and you two being suspended. With that you two may start.

Midori Miyamoto was in a particular mood as she sat at the table. However, it probably wasn’t the one that everyone assumed she’d be in. In truth? She was heavily relaxed. Those press conferences might have been burdensome in the beginning of her journey. But now? She looked forward to them. They allowed her words and voice to shine, so what was there to be fearful about?
With a crack of her neck, Midori leaned forward and began speaking in Japanese.
Midori Miyamoto: I’m going to go first, thanks.
She happened to glance over at KAGUYA.
Midori Miyamoto: That shouldn’t be a problem for you, given that you ran your mouth first during the contract signing.
The hand-writers in the room began to scribe her words.
Midori Miyamoto: Speaking of which, let’s go back to that contract signing…
Midori adjusted the microphone so that it was more comfortable for her to speak into.
Midori Miyamoto: Failure...
The weighty word clung to the air.
Midori Miyamoto: You spoke many words at JET 22. However, the crux of your argument was failure, right?
She paused for a second so that the media could clearly record her words.
Midori Miyamoto: You told the fans about how Tomoyo Hirate failed to defeat you. She was a woman that you were jealous of, right? You’ll probably deny it now. However, I caught on to how quickly you mentioned her credentials of being trained by JET’s owner and CEO. I’m sure that victory stroked your flickering ego.
Midori Miyamoto: Next, you spoke about how Kimiko Hayabusa failed to defeat you. Though, that’s not the true story. I watched how she kicked your butt in the early moments. I watched how you resorted to biting to gain the advantage. I watched how you gave Kimiko an injury and then exploited it. Another stroke of the ego.
She paused for a moment.
Midori Miyamoto: And of course, you wrapped everything up in a nice bow by saying that I’ll also fail to defeat you. You’ve defeated me in singles matches before. Oh, but not before you threw out a backhanded compliment about my talent in the ring.
Once more, Midori paused for the benefit of the media personnel.
Midori Miyamoto: That’s a cute little narrative, KAGUYA. Nicely framed. However, if that’s the game you want to play, let’s talk about your failures for a moment. It’s only fair, right?
Instead of looking at KAGUYA, Midori’s head turned towards the reporters.
Midori Miyamoto: KAGUYA is a slick-talker. And if you recall, JUNKO was too. Both of them employ their words to craft a story that is far from the truth. Don’t let her quick moving tongue distract you; don’t let it wash away what really happened—
There was another pause.
Midori Miyamoto: KAGUYA, you and your group of lap-dogs attempted to take over this promotion in a hostile fashion. You thought that everyone on this roster was pitiful. You thought that everyone employed here was a pushover. You thought it would be easy to place JET into an iron grip…
A shake of the head resulted.
Midori Miyamoto: You were wrong, weren’t you? Sure, you and your army hand your fun for a while. But then, you were meet with a heavy resistance. People, like myself, fought back. You quickly began to realize that people weren’t simply going to lay down and die. You began to realize that JET was inhabited by some mighty warriors!
She turned her attention back on KAGUYA.
Midori Miyamoto: Your goal was to steal away everyone’s hope. Your goal was to crush this company with crippling despair. But you failed, KAGUYA. You and your army failed. KAGUYA-Gun has basically faded into the ether. You yourself are the linger remnant.
The reporters rushed to record her words.
Midori Miyamoto: Let’s go through a quick checklist…
She snapped her fingers.
Midori Miyamoto: One. Your army failed to win the JET Trios Championships at the Grand Prix Finals. Ai, Mizuki, and myself made sure of that. Two. KAGUYA-Gun failed to beat Team JET at Kyoto Spotlight. In fact, I laid your second-in-command to rest with my very own hands. Three. In a one-on-one setting, you have failed to defeat me without aid…
A smirk came to her face.
Midori Miyamoto: You always hate to mention that you need Rei’s help to defeat me during the Grand Prix.
That smirk faded as Midori thought to herself for a moment.
Midori Miyamoto: In fact, it seems as if a majority of your victories after becoming JET World Champion have involved some kind of underhanded tactic.
A look of disgust crossed Midori’s face before she began speaking.
Midori Miyamoto: You’re weak, KAGUYA. Yes, you are the JET World Champion. Yes, you have held the belt for over 150 days. However, you’re a piss-pour comrade. You’re a terrible leader. You have very little heart. And most importantly, you haven't helping this company grow.
Midori nodded her head.
Midori Miyamoto: You’re weak, KAGUYA. And that’s the reason why I’ll defeat you. You can call me angry. You can call me a loudmouth. Fine. But you can never question my strength. Why? Because Midori Miyamoto has never laid down to anyone in this promotion. I’ve always brought the fight with me. Even when my back was against the wall. Even when the odds were against me. I’ve always brought the fight.
She waited and allowed the media to jot some things down before she wrapped up.
Midori Miyamoto: I resisted your tyranny, KAGUYA. I helped crush and topple your army. And now? Now it’s time for me to put an end to your reign. It’s time for me to give JET a world champion that it truly deserves. A champion who doesn’t want to exploit the promotion and foolishly try bend it to it’s will. A champion who will help take JET to new heights.
With a nod of her head, Midori leaned back in her seat.
