"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled..."
-----------------
The scene begins in an almost empty work out room, loud echoing of a pounding noise of fist meeting leather. One swing---Two. Three. The air inside of it was heavy; filled with nothing but stress, hunger and power. The camera zoomed in a bit more; panning around till it landed on The Woman who puts Lethal in Lethal Angels of Wrestling: Roni De Vil. So many emotions has been running through the Red headed woman. So much fight and power. She was ready for this match and she wasn't going to let someone stop her from getting back what was rightfully hers. As she trained hard, knuckles bruised; her older sister, Toni De Vil, watched on.
TONI DE VIL: You're going to work yourself to death, Little Sister...
Another powerful punch hit leather. The Younger De Vil continued to ram away at the punching bag as Toni looked on. A frown appeared on The purple haired woman's lips.
TONI DE VIL: Hey Roni...
Nothing. Another swing. Another loud hit.
TONI DE VIL: Roni.
Finally Toni De Vil finally had enough.
TONI DE VIL: VERONICA!!!
Full name was used. Frozen. The echoing of flesh to leather met faded into nothing. The sweat continued to pour down the pale woman's skin. A huff of hit breath left Roni's lips before her dark eyes finally unglued themselves from the bag to look over at her sister. Worry. That's what was written all over the older De Vil. Slowly, Roni straightened up and walked towards her sister.
RONI DE VIL: Yes, sweet sis of mine?
Roni said with a semi bitter lacing her voice as she grabbed the towel from her sister's hand. As she wiped her face dry, Toni sighed.
TONI DE VIL: You are pushing yourself too hard, Roni..
An eye roll. Really, Toni. Was the only thought that came to Roni's mind as she walked past her sister and over to her bag.
RONI DE VIL: I'm fine, don't worry too much.
TONI DE VIL: Don't worry too much?? Do you see yourself. You haven't left this room in 16 hours. You slept on the wrestling mats for fuck sakes, Ron.
Yelling laced with concerns. A frown fell onto the lips of Roni as she placed the towel around her neck and picked up her water bottle. She took a long sip before turning to her sister again.
RONI DE VIL: Ya know...you sound like mum right now.
A stun look from Toni and a smirk for Roni... Score: Roni 1, Toni 0
TONI DE VIL: And you look like Dad!
Recounting Score: Roni 1, Toni 1.
The smirk fell fast....But it was true. She did look like her father right now. Roni looked down at her knuckles...they were Bruised. Wracked. Yellow, black and blue mixed against her paler skin from hours at the bag. A weak sigh left her lips.
RONI DE VIL: Victoria...
TONI DE VIL: Don't you 'Victoria' me, Ron. You CAN'T keep doing this..pushing too hard, not resting. You can't...
RONI DE VIL: I have to though!
Whining. It makes it worse. It's one more level from yelling between them. Always been that way.
TONI DE VIL: Why!
RONI DE VIL: For legacy!!
Silence. Nothing. Blood boiled over. The Devil's rage hit both girls and the truth has been placed on the floor in front of them: Legacy. Toni stood there, quiet.
RONI DE VIL: Toni--- this match means everything to me. I fought tooth and nail for the Lethal Angels Championship the first time around. I went through so fuckin much. So much pain, blood loss and tears--- but when I got that championship---after all of that bullshit---I KNEW I had to continue to fight just as hard as I did before in order to keep it. Those girls...they don't understand it.
Roni slowly shakes her head, annoyed.
RONI DE VIL: I mean look at them all, Toni. First we have APRIL SONG, a woman who just got her off an amazing Specialist Championship run and of course, what happens? She loses to fuckin’ Revy! She pouts and whines and she gets placed in this Match for no reason because of name alone and a simple lose? Thats wrong and honestly, I’m not going to stand for it. I’m not going to bow my head to her as she gets handed Championship spots after Championship spots. I don’t care how long she worked for thing, Toni. And neither should the others in this match.
TONI DE VIL: But Roni...let's face it, you know they don’t care about her in this match either.
Another groan came from the younger De Vil.
RONI DE VIL: Trust me, Toni, I fuckin’ know they don’t care. They only care about themselves. I mean look at SWEET ROXY for christ sakes. If you looked up narcissist on google images, the first picture will be that pink haired fruitcake up; smiling like a mental bitch. I mean sure, yeah, she MIGHT be a second gen wrestler, taking after two of the best wrestlers ever and hold they legacy in her bloodline---but come on! She's nothing like them. She couldn’t even wrestle in their wrestling boots. She's not worth the Lethal Angels Championship. She’s not worth being in the same ring as someone who can wrestling circles around her!! It's the same with KAYLA WINTERS! Legit, sis, the O N L Y reason why she won our rematch was because of ROXY! Thats is it! And if ROXY didn’t place her plastic nose in our match, I would be champion right now...
Toni smirks happily at her prideful little sister.
TONI DE VIL: You truly think so, Roni?
RONI DE VIL: I know so, Toni!! I am one of the best in LAW. You know it. They know it. MADAM VEGA AND THE GREAT NINA SANADA knows it!!
Roni sighs before shaking her head one last time
RONI DE VIL: Look...I have been building this legacy just like dad has shown me to do. Fight. Win. And give the Fans what they want....and I can hear it EACH and EVERY DAMN NIGHT that when they chant MY name from the heavens; they want me as Champion again....and I’m going to be giving them just that at SIN CITY....That's it. End of fuckin’ story.
After a moment, a smile cracked on the older De Vil’s lips. She was proud of her younger sister and how she pushed herself...So now she just knew she had one thing to do for the younger De Vil.
TONI DE VIL: Than let's train.
Roni smiled back at Toni.
RONI DE VIL: Really? Than lets fuckin’ go!
With that The De Vil Sisters’ smiles became wicked filled smirks as they nodded at each other before moving back to the punching bags and started training for Roni De Vil’s second crowning moment coming up, very fast to the girls...but the question was filled in Roni’s head: “Am I truly ready for this match...”
And the answer was now clear as day:
YES SHE WAS.

"...was convincing the world SHE didn't exist."
