Saint Saito, the New Ace of Pro Wrestling, slowly looked around the room with a bored look on her face, as if she would prefer to be anywhere else, doing anything else, than sitting in a room full of reporters. But c’est la vie. She shifted in her seat before she leaned forward to speak into the microphone.
“Before I answer,” she said slowly, “what I’m sure was a well thought out question--well done, by the way, A for effort--I’d like to give the following message. Trust me, it won’t take long and it’s super urgent. More important than...whatever this is.”
She reaches into the inside pocket of her jacket and pulled out a piece of white paper, before she cleared her throat to make her statement.
“This message,” she began to say, her face a mask of stone as she speaks in a deadpan fashion, “is for my cousin, Saito Haruka, who is probably sitting her fat ass at home watching this...and I’ll be sure to use small words so that I’ll be sure she understands: Haruka, you rotten piece of dog turd. The last of the chocolate ice cream was mine and you knew it, you evil bitch. Fuck you. Yeah, that’s my message to you. Fuck you and kiss my ass. Real talk: I hope you burn in hell. P.S.: We also need more milk.”
And just as calmly, she screwed the piece of paper into a little ball and tosses it nonchalantly onto the floor.
“Now, what was the question again?” she asked, then waited for a brief moment. “Oh, right. How does it feel...for Saint Saito, the Best of the Next Generation, She-Beast from the East, the New Ace and all the rest of those nicknames, feel about competing at JET Goddess Dream…?”
She looked up at the ceiling, tapping her fingernails against the table as she pondered the question as though she was pondering the meaning of life, the universe and everything. Then, after a few moments of silence Saito gave her answer to the reporter.
“See, here’s the thing...” she said. “I've been in this game since I was thirteen, and since then I get a lot of people asking me questions that are similar to the one you just gave us: How it feels to be in this match? What’s it like to go up against that guy? What were your feelings when you did this thing and won that title? Blah, blah, et cetera…”
Saito rolled her eyes.
“So I hope you’ll forgive me if I give you the same answer to your question. How does it feel competing--what was it you said? ‘on what many consider one of the biggest shows of the year for JET?’”
She raised her fingers and made air quotes for that last part, then she rested her head in her hand and waited for a moment, just for dramatic effect. Then she gave her answer.
“Like it was Tuesday,” she said simply. “Next silly question.”
And with that, Saito sat back and leaned into her seat and closed her eyes, waiting for the next silly question to be asked...unless either one of her two opponents at Goddess Dream desired to add to the discussion?

Stela grabs the microphone in front of her and pulls it towards her face.
Stela- What makes this the biggest show? Hm? It's not a coincidence that the show that features MY debut is named as the biggest show for JET!
Stela points at one of her opponents sitting near her, Saint Saito.
Stela- You got Saint Saito. Who knows ya? You say you're "the new ace of pro wrestling" and you've been doing this since you were thirteen? You were thirteen when you entered this sport, an people still don't give a shit about you! I'M the ace of JET just from me getting here and showing you two fuckwits how to promo! I am the ace because I don't think I am the best, I am the best, and I will show all of these reporters on my gorgeous face what it means to be a real star!
Stela then points to Kem Dynamo.
Stela- Kemmy! Didn't see you there? Aren't you supposed to be in the shadow of Stacy and Lena? I'm glad they let you out of their shadow so you can lose....again! You really are just the...other one of the group, aren't you? You follow them around hoping to get one little taste of success. One ounce of respect. But no dice. You just end up on your back...listening to the fans laugh! Kemmy fails again!
Stela stands up and points at herself
Stela- I am Stela Delgato and I'm a winner!
Stela sits down and applauds herself

While Stela was sitting there congratulating herself, Saito swung forward and leaned in close to the microphone in front of her.
“Now comes the part where we throw our heads back in laughter.” Her features were serene as she spoke sweetly into the microphone. “Ready? Ready!”
And true to her word, Saito leaned into her seat and threw her head back, filling the conference room with her exaggerated laughter. She was the only one who was laughing, however, not that she cared. When she was done fake-laughing, Saito readjusted the baseball cap on her head and resumed speaking, although her eyes were focused on the reporters, not her opponents.
“But seriously, though...” she said. “That right there is a telltale sign of someone trying too hard. Chill out, I say! Sit back and relax a little--” she then turned her attention toward Stela “--and how about you not front at me like you think you mean something, ‘kay? ‘Kay.”
Saito smirked as she held her hands up and shook them around, jazzhands-style.
“Oooh, look at me!” she mocked. “My name is Stela and I’m a big star! Seriously! I promise!”
She scoffed, then shook her head before staring at her.
“Please,” she added with disdain. “Take your ass somewhere people actually believe that shit if that’s what you’re bringing to this discussion. In the meantime, zip it, and let a real Ace--the New Ace--do what you clearly can’t. Comprende, bish?”
And with that, Saito turned her attention to the other woman involved with the match, Kem Dynamo.
“And speaking of keeping it zipped...how about it, Kem?” she said to her. “Don't you want to chip in? I mean...I kinda like a girl--or a guy--who knows when to keep their mouth shut from time to time, but come on dude... You got nothing? Don’t you have anything to say? Even 'Fake News' over there--” she gestured toward Stela “--had something to tell me, even if it was all just...y'know. Come on! This is your moment to shine for once, Kemmy!”
Saito lifted her microphone from its stand.
“Speak now, or forever hold your shade!” she exclaimed.

Stela looks at Saito with a 'are you kidding me?' look
Don't believe my words? That's just your incompetence! I am OBVIOUSLY a star! Just because you and Quasimodo here doesn't see talent, doesn't mean shit when all of these hideous people do! But Saito, I'm glad you spoke up! I was about to fall asleep waiting for this...thing!
Stela motions her hand to Kemmy
This push over, stuck in her girlfriend's shadow, to defend herself...but I guess Kemmy here is just going to take it! This is your hero everyone!
Stela looks at the sea of reporters and applauds with her smirk staying on her face.
This is your inspiration! Kembrace your defects! Do it for the small kids wishing they'd of found a better hero! They'd of wish that they wouldn't put all of their eggs into they basket of Kem Dynamo! Now being a fan of Saito is an easy mistake because she somewhat resembles and wrestler but you're sitting here, presumably on the verge of tears, taking all of this abuse like the weak, pathetic, sad, little girl you wish you weren't. You WISH you were like Lena and Stacy! Big and strong, able to throw around men and women alike! While you're sitting here, decomposing! Rotting away at the thought of another loss at the hands of the amazing and FABULOUS! Stela Delgato!
Stela slaps the table in front of her
In my closing statements of this question. These two bumblefucks couldn't hold a candle to my brilliance.

“Are you two ladies done yet?”
Stela and Saito stop their back-and-forth and look over at Kem, who has remained respectfully silent up to this point.
“I do believe the question got lost somewhere along the way. Forgive me for not jumping in, but I was waiting for one of you to actually pay some respect to the situation the three of us finds ourselves in.”
Kem motions her hands off to the right where the logo for “JET Goddess Dream” is prominently displayed.
“To be afforded the opportunity to compete in a nation with the intensely rich history of Japan, for a company as respected and talent-rich as Joshi Extreme Takeover, on a show as steeped in tradition and memories as Goddess Dream...I could not be more honored to be a part of this.
You see, the funny thing about Saint Saito dismissing this show, questioning its magnitude, is that it is intensely disrespectful not only to JET, but to herself. Saito, you are getting to wrestle on one of the biggest shows of the year in front of a sold-out crowd here in Japan, and I remember from when we were both in IPW how much it means to you to compete in the ring. So why would you try to be bigger than it all? Because you’re not. Whether or not you ever elevate yourself to being the “new ace” is irrelevant if you take opportunities like these to dismiss the whole thing as unimportant. This match is a VERY big deal to me and that’s why I want to go out there, give my absolute everything, and hopefully walk away victorious.”
Kem turns her face towards Stela Delgado.
“As for you, Stela, it warms my heart to hear how strongly you respect Stacy DeVille and Lena Skye, two phenomenal competitors who I’m honored to be trios partners with...
...but while their shadows loom large, mine does as well.
Even though I haven’t even turned 21, I have wrestled all over the map. My first weekend of wrestling as a professional was winning UGWC’s WrestleStock Open. I can no longer count on my hands the number of times I’ve been chosen by company after company to compete to be one of their champions. The name “Kem Dynamo” is known to the wrestling community from America to the Middle East to now here in Japan.
And yet I am STILL humble, I am STILL here honored to be given an opportunity to compete in JET and on one of their biggest shows of the night, because I don’t NEED to disrespect the talented wrestlers that share this table and will soon share that ring with me. I don’t need any of you to look at them with discredit for you to look at me as someone who can overcome them. If you think that means I’m sitting in someone else’s shadow...”
Kem turns and looks directly at the camera filming her speech.
“...then it looks like Goddess Dream will be the moment when I shine through the dark”.
