Ultimate Japan Pro-Wrestling—
It was supposed to have been the place where she and siblings took the world over by storm. It was supposed to be the place where she skyrocketed through the stratosphere. It was supposed to have been her promise land.
But alas…
Petty dreams and false hopes.
The company closed down shortly after Rio and siblings inked deals. Things started off happy and joyous. And in an instant, it was all ripped away.
No promised money.
No tour dates.
Nothing but wasted time.
But no matter. Very little is stable in the sport of professional wrestling. She knew that. She decided to press on instead of feeling mopey or upset.
Her training increased.
Her focus shot up.
Her desires to be better ascend.
And that’s when it happened.
Now in most stories, this would be the point in time where Rio was magically introduced to Joshi Extreme Takeover…
But that part would come later.
The “that” in this case would be meeting Saint Satio. She never planned on meeting and connecting with the arrogant, high-spirited Joshi. But, life is funny in that regard. Who would have thought a sparring session and a blind date would have formed such a bond?
In order to grow a little closer to Saito, Rio bought tickets to one of her JET matches. A stiff knee, a slumped opponent, and a cheesy pizza later, Saito was suggested that Rio contact JET.
Maybe it could be the place where she took the world over by storm. Maybe it could be the place where she’d skyrocket through the stratosphere. Maybe it would become that promise land she’d been searching for.
Maybe...
However, she knew one thing for certain—she need to hurt people. She needed to aggressive and remorseless. Pleasantries and respectfulness? That got you looked down upon. That got you stepped upon. And she refused to have anyone in JET or elsewhere put a boot to her neck.
Bianca Davis? Veronica Taylor?
They were highly expendable. They’d make perfect sacrifices on quest to becoming great.
