Episode 38: Prelude to Sin
We Will Rock You" by In This Moment plays as the season three intro to LAW is shown. This is followed by an exterior shot of Sam's Town in Las Vegas, NV. As we're taken ringside, we see LAW play-by-play analyst Monica Vaughan introducing herself and color commentator Kat Ricci to the audience. They discussed the road to Sin City 3 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Paradise, NV on the Las Vegas strip. Monica announces that all the belts will be on the line, including the IJWF World Championship. Kat Ricci adds that Nina Sanada has an announcement for the current IJWF World Champion, Kayla Winters. Monica follows by saying that the main event will see the winner earn a shot for the number one contender’s spot for the Lethal Angel Championship. Their opponent would be revealed later tonight. Afterward, the camera transitioned to London Morris inside the ring who started announcing for the first match.
Lizzy Rose vs Sandra Matthews
The match starts off with a mutual handshake between both women, followed by some back and forth mat wrestling. Sandra's self-taught style struggled to keep up with Lizzy's Hollywood Fight Club training. Rose kept her opponent grounded until Sandra's unorthodox strategy pulled through by sliding under Lizzy and transitioning into a Boston Crab. Lizzy made it to the ropes, forcing Sandra to break the hold. The match soon boiled down to a back and forth grappling fest with Sandra gaining momentum. After nailing a beautiful Basement Dropkick and Roundhouse Kick to kneeling and stunned Lizzy, Sandra climbed to the top to end things with a Diving Frog Splash.
Winner: Sandra Matthews via pinfall (Diving Frog Splash)
Segment
Kayla Winter's Voice: Nina Sanada wins by Roll-up.
The scene slowly opens to Kayla Winters, sitting outside by a large pool.
Kayla Winters: I bet you think you’ve accomplished something don’t you Nina, but if you think I’m fazed by your fluke win, I’m not, I don’t faze easily.
A servant brings Kayla a drink.
Kayla Winters: You see Nina, I've lost matches before, very rarely, but it has happened.
Kayla takes a sip of her drink.
Kayla Winters: I’ve been hearing that you have a message for me on December 10th in Vegas. I admit that has me intrigued, and normally I wouldn’t lower myself, and go to a complete cesspool like Las Vegas, but I’ll do it just to hear what you have to say to me live and in person, but I warn you Nina should you get any illusions of grandeur, I’ll break you like I’ve broken every else who has opened their mouth about me.
Christy and Grace join Kayla.
Kayla Winters: See you in Vegas, hon.
Vignette
We open to a dark, gothic-style room lit only by a fireplace. A woman with black is sitting at a desk, frantically writing. We don’t get a clear look at her face, but judging by her body language, she seemed to be in a hurry. The camera turns at a slight angle, revealing the white coat and jeans she was wearing. As the camera moved closer, we could hear her muttering inaudibly. A few moments later, she stopped writing and leaned back smiling with her eyes closed. The camera scanned the desk to reveal a closed black journal titled “The Art of Violence”. The woman stood up and walked away as the camera fade to black while lingering on book to reveal the following:
Stephanie Queen.
Coming Soon.
Bianca Page vs Tori de Vil
The early moments of this match showed just how much Page had underestimated Tori, who was dominating the match through high-speed aggression. Page was forced to stay on the defensive until she was able to counter with a side suplex. With the tables turned, Bianca began to wear Tori down with suplexes and a diving elbow drop. The Classy One goes for a cover but Tori kicks out at two. Bianca continued with submissions such as a Sharpshooter and a Texas Cloverleaf, but De Vil managed to get to the ropes on both occasions. Maintaining control over the opponent, Bianca goes for Halo (One-Winged Angel), but Tori reverses with a roll-up. Once both women were on their feet, Tori connects with a Bittersweet Kick (Spin Kick). She makes the cover, but Bianca kicks out at two. Meanwhile, Celeste Dumont makes her way down the stage. As Tori sets up for Sinner's Kiss (Leg Drop Bulldog), Celeste jumps on the apron to distract the ref. Roni de Vil comes running out towards the ring, only to be intercepted by a superkick from out of nowhere by Io Ishimori who came from the audience. Distracted, Tori gets nailed in the face by Bianca's Big Apple (Knockout Punch) and laid to rest by Pure Elegance (Corkscrew Moonsault). As Page leaves the ring in celebration, Celeste enters the ring to stand over Tori's body while Io stands over Roni's.
Winner: Bianca Page via pinfall (Pure Elegance - Corkscrew Moonsault)
In-Ring
We open to Brenda Martin, already standing inside the ring with a mic in hand. She’s dressed in her street clothes, backward cap and all. As she paces around the ring, she talks about how she was attacked by a “mysterious assailant” two weeks ago and now she demands justice. She goes on to say that there wasn’t anything mysterious about who attacked her. Even though she didn’t see, she knows that Llorona had something to do with it. Llorona came out on stage with a mic of her own to deny Brenda’s claim, citing that if she wanted to attack her she would do it face-to-face. Provoked, Brenda demanded that Llorona come to the ring so that she could beat her ass. As Llorona strolled down the ramp, two figures slid into the ring. Before she realized it, she was knocked off her feet by “Big Sexy” Santana, who stood close by a familiar face from LAW’s first season...Jasmine Peyton. The wife of OWA Chairman Scott Oasis picked up a mic as Santana began stomping on a helpless Brenda. Jasmine picks up the mic Brenda had and turned to the audience, stating that she was behind the attack on Brenda. She continued to speak, saying that while it wasn’t her who physically attacked Brenda, she did hire someone to send a message to the lAW locker room, and Brenda just so happened to be the perfect target. Jasmine added that people should be cowering in fear from the likes of Llorona and Santana, so she would put it upon herself to remind everyone that they should be very afraid. With that, Jasmine dropped the mic and exited the ring with Santana to meet with Llorona and Santana’s manager Frankie on the ramp to celebrate their union.
Rina Sakaraba vs KATLA
From the moment the bell rang, The Juggernaut made her presence known with a stiff lariat that nearly turned Rina upside down! The Galactic Rocker fought to get to her feet, but she was already in the grasp of KATLA who took her down with a full nelson slam. Miles Larsen stood ringside, watching the carnage his monster was creating as she picked up Rina by the hair. Sakaraba started fighting back with a couple of low kicks to the leg, a spin kick to the midsection, and a dropkick, but KATLA remained on her feet. She grabbed Rina by the throat and buried her into the mat with Charon's Passage (Chokeslam). As Rina struggled to get on all fours, KATLA came from behind and ended her opponent’s suffering with Ruin & Misery (Super Dragon Curbstomp). KATLA rolled her opponent over and simply pinned her with a foot on her chest.
Winner: KATLA via pinfall (Ruin & Misery - Curbstomp)
Outside
We open to Wither Seede, pacing around a dark area of the outside parking lot. She was dressed in her ring gear, mask and all. After several moments of impatiently waiting, she was about to walk off, but reconsidered when she saw KATLA and Miles Larsen approach her. Miles advised both women to put their history aside and come together once more as Season of Slaughter. He feels that an alliance between his two clients will shake the very foundation of LAW. He already spoke with Madam Vega who is willing to schedule them a match for Sin City, as long as Wither accepts his offer. Wither steps to KATLA as a sinister grin creeps up on the side of her mouth. Saying nothing, she walks off into the darkness. Satisfied with her reaction, Miles and KATLA take their leave.
In-Ring
Before her tag match, Sydney St. Clair came out to address the fans about her upcoming title defense at Sin City. She explained to fans that she was given a choice on what her next match should be and after some thinking, she opted for something...festive. That’s when she revealed that she’ll be defending her belt in LAW’s first ever Miracle of 34 St Match. This match would have a special guest referee, and it would be none other than Savannah Sunshine! Not only that, but the match will be on location in front of the Macy’s building. As the fans cheered her on, Jessica Hendrix walked out to the ring. The two then prepared for the opponents.
Kylie Monroe & Emmanuelle vs Sydney St. Clair & Jessica Hendrix
The match started off with Emmanuelle baiting Jessica to get into the ring with her. As soon as Jessica responded, the Silver Starlet tags in Kylie while waving a finger at the Lethal American Champion. Both Kylie and Jessica lock-up in the center of the ring, with Monroe getting the upper hand. She forces Jessica into a corner where she takes her time working her over with chops and kicks to the gut. For the majority of their exchange, the match stays in Kylie’s favor, who tags back and forth with Emmauelle in order to conserve energy. Emmanuelle hits a corner knee strike to the face and applies a Muay Thai clinch, kneeing Jessica in the gut. Things look dim for her, until she finds an opening and counters with a hip toss. When Emmanuelle tries to fight back, Jessica hits a Tornado DDT and makes a hot tag to Sydney, who comes racing in like a storm, knocking down her opponents, including Kylie off the apron with a clothesline. Frustrated, Kylie decided to take matters into her own hands by sliding into the ring with a chair and attacking her opponents with them. As the ref calls for the bell, Kylie tosses the chair out of the ring and stands over Sydney’s body, glaring down at her
Winners: Sydney St. Clair & Jessica Hendrix via disqualification

LAW Interviewer Maria Cuesta was interviewing Nina Sanada about her intentions of IJWF Champion, Kayla Winters. Nina explained that due to her victory over Winters, she will be in the Lethal Angel No. 1 Contender’s Match at Sin City versus the winner of tonight’s main event. As much as she wanted to take Kayla’s title off her hands, she wanted to focus on becoming LAW World Champion. Nina explained that she spoke with her JET founder and current IJWF president Miss Manami and they found a suitable opponent for Kayla: JET’s own Sora Todoh. Kayla will be defending her title against the protégé of Stephanie Matsuda at Sin City and the winner will go on to defend the belt at the upcoming Collision Course 3. Kayla and Grace Hollister appeared before Nina. and the two had a brief stare-off before Sanada took her leave.
Liz Karlson vs Eris
The match starts off pretty even as both women try to get an edge over the other. Eris demonstrated her superior strength, which Liz counters with her technical ability. She employed several crafty pins to catch Eris off guard, but The Cleanser countered this with a bridging German suplex. Liz kicked out at two, and managed to get some offense in with some forearms, chops, and a dropkick to the chest. She continued to keep Eris grounded as she applied a grounded hammerlock. Eris slips out and runs Liz down with a big boot. She picked Karlson up to hit the Shark Tooth Driver (Michinoku Driver), but Liz kicked out once again. Eris attempted to set her out for The Heavy Hand of Judgement (Ridge Hand), but Liz counters with a double leg takedown. She attempts to get into the mount position, but Eris pushes her off, kip ups, and hits Shatter (Buckle Bomb). Liz’ body bounces back into her arms, and Eris finishes things off with The Cleanser (Fireman's Carry Spun Into A Cutter) for the victory. As Eris celebrated, Monica Vaughan reminded the audience that she will be in a number one contender’s match against Nina Sanada at Sin City for the Lethal Angel Championship.
Winner: Eris via pinfall (The Cleanser - Fireman’s Carry Cutter)
