Episode 42: Lethal League Night 1
Introduction
“Ghost Myself” by Diamante plays as the NEW intro to Thursday Night LAW plays, showing the latest roster, ending with the current champions: Devi Krysis as the Lethal Spark Champion, Misha LeCavalier as the Lethal American Champion, KATLA and Wither Seede as the Lethal Tag Team Champions, Sydney St. Clair as the Lethal Specialist Champion, and Roxy as the Lethal Angel Champion. The camera transitions to ringside where LAW commentators Monica Vaughan and Kat Ricci introduce everyone to the first episode of the new season of LAW. Monica states that it’s Night 1 of Lethal League, where we’ll see who in Block A will be the first to put points on the board. She also adds that some conflicts between LAW and SHW has occurred offseason which has reached a head between LAW General Manager Madam Vega and her disciple, Slaughterhouse Wrestling Owner Madam Moore. Madam Vega will be addressing these concerns in a separate video as she doesn’t want it to interrupt the flow of Lethal League. Kat adds that Lethal League will have some new faces to the roster and we’ll be seeing one of them tonight, but for now we’ll be getting to the first Block A Match of the evening.
Lethal League Block A Match
Brenda Martin vs Selena Firehouse
Winner: Brenda Martin via submission
Post Match: Brenda celebrated with some fans ringside while holding up a pride flag for all to see. She high fived her way backstage while Selena looked on in frustration.
Backstage
The Hendrix Sisters, Valerie and Jessica are seen backstage discussing her championship loss at Lethal Hearts 3. Jessica feels that she was off her game, but thinks she can win the title back at Americana. She recounts winning the Lethal American Championship in a tournament where she beat the best LAW has to offer. If she could do that, then beating Misha LeCavalier shouldn't be a problem. Valerie nods and reminds her sister that Misha will be in two matches that weekend, so therefore Jessica's chances have increased. Jessica takes this into account before walking off screen.
Vignette
A short vignette plays, showing LAW newcomer Samara Crowe pulling off some of her high flying manuevers followed by the phrase "UP NEXT".
Lethal League Block A Match
KATLA vs Samara Crowe
KATLA gave the debuting Samara Crowe no quarter as she laid the girl all over the ring with stiff lariats. A body avalanche in the corner knocked the life out of her, but she managed to get her shoulder up in time. Crowe found herself tossed across the ring by a hair whip and rolled to the outside to gather some composure. KATLA chased after her with a running lariat, but Samara countered with a drop toehold to the steel steps. KATLA’s face slammed against the stairs and she ended up in a daze as Samara climbed up the steps and dove at her with a flying crossbody. KATLA caught her and slammed her into the ring post. She rolled Samara back into the ring and followed. She deadlifts Samara in the air for a chokelan, but Samara counters with a modified Grave Mistake (Rolling Cross Armbar), taking KATLA down to the mat with a submission. Manager Miles Larsen demanded for KATLA to get her head back into the game. In a fit of rage, KATLA uses her impressive strength to toss Samara over the ropes. Crowe lands on the apron, and pulls down the ropes when KATLA charges at her, causing The Juggernaut to tumble out to the outside. Samara waited for KATLA to rise to her feet and nailed her with an apron soccer kick. Samara leaped down and waited for KATLA to get on her feet. She charged at her, but was laid out by a surprised lariat. KATLA wasted no time throwing her into the steel steps, much to Miles Larsen’s approval. KATLA lifts her up once more and goes for a powerbomb against the apron, but Samara grabs onto the lower ropes, kicks KATLA away with both legs and slides into the ring in time for the count out victory!
Winner: Samara Crowe via countout
Post Match: Samara makes a tactical retreat out the ring as KATLA rampages all over the area. Crowe still wears a smirk across her face, satisfied with her victory as she looks on from the stands at a rampaging KATLA and disapproving Miles.

Revy catches up with Sydney St. Clair in the locker room. The two discuss their upcoming match Revy encourages Sydney to pick a match that would garner some interest such as the Lego and Miracle on 34th St Matches. Syd casually shrugs her shoulders and says she’ll leave it up to Revy to decide, because either way she’s leaving Americana as the Specialist Champion. After taking a moment to think, Revy feels the match should represent Fourth of July in some way, and proceeds to go on a rant about the birth of America, the founding fathers, etc. Sydney quietly leaves the vicinity as Revy gets lost in her own thoughts. As she comes too she sees Sydney has left. With a sigh, Revy shakes her head, wondering how Syd would feel about defending her honor - and title - in a Flag Match.
Backstage
(As per her contract, the backstage camera once again finds Kayla Winters in her private locker room.)
Kayla: Good evening, I honestly don’t want to talk to you people tonight, but since you just barged into my locker room, I guess I have too.
(Kayla shakes her head as she grabs a water bottle.)
Kayla: So let me get to something then you can get the hell out of my locker room before I have Grace beat your ass. A while back I made a deal with Stephanie Madsuda, to have her be Nina Sanada's opponent, she agreed but now I can reveal the other side of the deal, you see. In order for Stephanie to agree to be Nina’s opponent I had to give something in return.
(Kayla takes a sip of water.)
Kayla: If I had won the Lethal Angel Championship, Stephanie would have been my first opponent, but well that didn’t happen, but now i’ve been granted a Tag team title match with Rebecca Brookes as my partner, and if we win, and since I still owe a debt to Stephanie I want to offer Stephanie and a partner of her choosing the first shot at the tag team titles, it’s only right since I owe a debt and a Winters never goes back on their word.
(Kayla cracks a smile for a moment.)
Kayla: Finally to my opponents in Lethal League, I hope you truly know what you're getting yourselves into.
(Kayla motions to the cameraman.)
Kayla: Now get the *Censored* out.
(As the cameraman backs out of the room, he quickly catches a shot of Christy in a towel, entering the room from the shower.)
Lethal League Block A Match
Daisy Thrash vs Llorona
From the moment the bell rang, Daisy wasted no time playing mind games. She kept her distance from Llorona and taunted the former OWA Women’s Champion. Llorona did her best to keep her cool until the two locked up in the center of the ring. Llorona’s obvious annoyance causes Daisy to get the upper hand with a wristlock, but Llorona rolls through and counters with a hammerlock. This back and forth chain wrestling continues for a little longer until Daisy gouges Llorona’s eyes and lands a standing dropkick to the chest. Daisy goes for an ankle lock, but Llorona flips to her feet and hits a well-placed enzuigiri. Much of the match becomes a back and forth grappling contest with either woman refusing to give up in the process. Daisy tried to attempt a couple of dirty tactics, but the former cartel assassin saw Thrash’s tricks a mile away and started taking control of the match with the power moves in her arsenal like an Alabama Slam and Death Valley Driver. Lorona makes the cover, but Daisy kicks out at time. Llorona tried to speed things up - something Daisy was expecting. She flips out of a hurricanrana and counters with a snap DDT. Daisy locks in Bad Medicine (Inverted Indian Deathlock), forcing Llorona to fight out of it. Before Daisy could get to her feet, Llorona applies a crossface! Daisy reverses it for a pin and places her legs on the ropes for the cheating victory!
Winner: Daisy Thrash via pinfall
Post Match: Daisy slides out of the ring in time to escape Llorona’s wrath who starts threatening the ref for not seeing Daisy’s legs on the ropes. Daisy is walking backwards up the ramp while tapping the side of her head.
Lethal League Block A Match
Wither Seede w/ Miles Larsen vs Etune Manager
This match is an example of size taking precedence. Wither Seede stayed in control throughout most of the match, overpowering Etune at every turn. It wasn’t until Etune countered the lariat into a German suplex, using Wither’s own momentum against her! A shocked Seede didn’t see a dropkick to the chest coming and soon enough, the crowd was on Etune’s side! She tried for a small package but Wither kicked so hard that it sent Etune halfway across the ring! Wither gathered herself and caught a charging Manager with a discus forearm! She lifts Etune over her shoulders and slams her into the corner with a Midnight Sunrise (Running Death Valley Driver into the corner). Miles Larsen demanded that Wither end things quickly, who nodded at his request and pulled Etune into Sweet Nothings (Swinging Half Nelson Choke). Seede held the choke until her opponent passed out for the submission victory.
Winner: Wither Seede via submission
Post Match: As if to send a message to her opponents, Wither held the hold on a little longer before delivering a massive Hateful Seede! She walked out of the ring and didn’t look back as she was followed by a satisfied Miles Larsen.

Roxy approaches April Song backstage, who’s looking at her phone while waiting around for Revy. Roxy congratulates April on winning the Second Chance Contract. She asks April if it’s the right decision to challenge her, the longest reigning Lethal Angel Champion of all time. Roxy adds that April has a good chance at winning Lethal League, so it would be a better move to save the briefcase and use it as backup. April smiles and says she likes her chance. Roxy shakes her head and states that she’s been at the top of her game for over a year and a half and she’s not going to slow down anytime soon. April laments that Roxy has never faced her for the belt, not when the stakes were this high. April feels she has to redeem herself and break the curse that has followed her for the last three years. Roxy sighs and shrugs, citing that April is going to be disappointed by the result, but respects her decision and wishes her luck. April narrows her eyes, stating that she doesn’t need luck...she just needs to win, and walks away. Roxy looks on before going her own way.
