Episode 44: Lethal League Night 6
[Cold Open]
In-Ring
NEW Lethal Angel Champion April Song arrives at the ring with her title over her shoulder. As she climbs into the ring, balloons and confetti call from the rafters as front row fans toss streamers into the ring. April smiles as she lets the fans chant “you deserve it” repeatedly. After the chants died down, she thanked everyone and talked about how everything was still surreal for her. She speaks about how this was a surreal experience for her and how it was a culmination of a three-year chase for something that was owed to her. She credits Roxy for giving her a match of a lifetime and feels that their bout at Americana will go down as one of the greatest matches in LAW history. April adds that though she’s still competing in Lethal League, show now wields the ultimate advantage in the tournament since she’s now Lethal Angel Champion. Song adds that if she wins she knows exactly who her opponent would be which will be the capstone to her career overall. Before she continued, Roxy’s theme plays and the former Lethal Angel Champion of 574 days walks to the ring and confronts April. There’s a silent staredown between them and eventually Roxy hugs April, congratulating her. She goes on to say that there’s no one else who deserves to carry on the legacy of the Lethal Angel Championship than April. Before the champ could say anything, the former champ adds that Madam Vega is giving her a rematch at Northern Exposure. She and April will main event Night 1 of the upcoming Northern Exposure event in a Ladder Match for the Lethal Angel Championship. Roxy wants her return to glory to be as epic as April’s was. Song agrees and raises her championship before Roxy who smiles in anticipation to get her title back.
Lethal League Block B Match
Eris vs. Xoltol Hun
Eris runs at Xoltol but Xoltol pushes Eris off the ropes before launching her with a Hurricanrana. Xoltol tosses Eris around with several arm drags and keeps her grounded with a shoulder lock. Xoltol whips Eris into the corner with all of her might and hits a running meteora. Xoltol takes a few steps back and splashes into Eris with a handspring elbow smash! Xoltol lifts Eris from a seated position but Eris mounts back with a vicious chop, knocking Xoltol backwards. She lashes out with a front dropkick which Eris dodges and tosses her with a Release German Suplex. Eris runs off the ropes knocking a seated Xoltol to the mat with a boot. She runs to the ropes again and lays Xoltol out with a vicious clothesline! Eris uses her size to wear the smaller Hun down with big boots and superkicks. Xoltol looks worse for wear as Eris slams her in the corner with a nasty Shatter (Buckle Bomb), followed by The Cleanser (Fireman's Carry Spun Into A Cutter) for the victory.

Backstage
Kayla is seen meeting with Rebecca Brookes in her dressing room. The two lament over their victory at Americana, though Rebecca feels a certain way about Kayla looking down on her. Kayla admits to judging a book by its cover and apologizes to Brookes, stating that she pulled her share of the weight for the team. Accepting the apology, Rebecca asks Winters what was this secret deal she had concerning the tag belts. Kayla states that she made a deal with renowned superstar Stephanie Matsuda that if she retired Kayla’s nemesis Nina Sanada - which she did - Winters would give her a title shot the next time she held gold. Rebecca nods, stating that Stephanie on her own was a force to be reckoned with and she could only wonder who her partner would be. Kayla informs her partner that she and Stephanie will be discussing the details of their upcoming match soon.
Before Kayla could finish her sentence, the door is kicked down. Season of Slaughter barge in with chairs, attacking Kayla, Rebecca, Grace, and Christy with steel chairs. With all four women down, KATLA and Wither Seede perform various tag maneuvers to Christy, Grace, and Rebecca, ending with slamming Kayla through a table with a double powerbomb. Several moments later, Miles Larsen walks into the room and nods in approval before leaving with his team.
Lethal League Block B Match
Emmanuelle vs. Yuki Sakaraba
Emmanuelle runs at Yuki with a Clothesline but Yuki ducks and hits Emmanuelle with a standing Dropkick. Yuki follows with forearms before sending Emmanuelle off the ropes only for Emmanuelle to come flying back at Yuki hitting a Jumping Knee Strike. Emmanuelle is on her feet first and she catches Yuki hard with a Buzzsaw kick to the side of the head. Emmanuelle pulls Yuki to her feet and attempts a Michinoku Driver but Yuki counters with a Back Body Drop. Yuki runs at Emmanuelle, hitting a Corkscrew Roundhouse kick that sends Emmanuelle into the corner. Yuki runs at Emmanuelle and leaps. Emmanuelle moves at the last second and Yuki lands on the middle turnbuckle. Before she can get her bearings, Emmanuelle grabs Yuki’s leg and twists it with a vicious dragon screw!
Emmanuelle goes for a cover but Yuki gets a shoulder up before the ref could count. Emmanuelle lifts Yuki to her feet and sets up a Suplex but Yuki slips out and lands behind Emmanuelle! Yuki attempts a Snap German Suplex but Emmanuelle pushes her off. Yuki attempts a Roundhouse Kick but Emmanuelle ducks and counters with a snap DDT. Emmanuelle picks up Yuki who retaliates with a couple of forearms, a toe kick, and a Piledriver! She quickly makes a cover, but Emmanuelle kicks out at two!
Yuki rolls to the apron as Emmanuelle pulls herself to her feet. She climbs to the top turnbuckle and throws herself at Emmanuelle hitting a Diving Crossbody and makes another cover! Emmanuelle just gets a shoulder up just in time! Sakaraba grabs Emmanuelle and tries to apply a Challenger Lock (Muta Lock) but Emmanuelle is able to escape the hold. Emmanuelle nails kneeling Yuki with a knee, hits the ropes and takes her down with a Tokyo Drift (Sliding Forearm Strike to a seated opponent)! Emmanuelle gets to her feet and lifts Yuki to hers. Before Emmanuelle can do anything, Yuki kicks her in the knee knocking Emmanuelle to the mat. She climbs the nearest turnbuckle to hit Mass Extinction (Double Footstomp) followed by a deadlift Black Hole Driver (Burning Hammer) for the victory!

In-Ring
Lethal Spark Champion Devi Krysis is standing in the center of the ring while addressing the crowd about her match at Americana. She complimented on Astuko Godai’s efforts but stated that she had plans to keep this belt around her waist until the two-year time limit has passed. Before she could say anything else, Arisa Joijima walks out with a mic on hand. She commends Devi on her reign thus far but states that she wants to be Devi’s next challenger for herself and to avenge her fellow Princess of Wrestling. Devi cracks a smile and accepts her challenge, causing the crowd to cheer.
Lethal League Block B Match
Melissa Flash vs. Savannah Sunshine
Jenny Carson, the referee, calls for the bell as the fans start getting excited. Flash runs toward Sunshine but eats a Jumping High Knee. Sunshine batters her with Forearms to the back and shoulder blades before whipping Melissa off the ropes and dropping her with a Spear! She went for the quick cover, but Melissa kicked out. Savannah lifts Flash to her feet, and unleashes a series of rights and lefts. Melissa blocks the last strike and counters with a Short Arm Clothesline. Flash grabs Sunshine and hits a huge Side Suplex. Flash tries to DDT Sunshine but Savannah counters with a Fisherman’s Suplex. She makes a cover, but Melissa kicks out at one! Sunshine goes to the apron and nails a slingshot knee dop. Flash struggles to her feet and strikes a low kick forcing Sunshine to drop to her knees allowing Flash to nail a Shining Wizard!
Sunshine dodges and whips Melissa to the nearest corner. She charges ahead but gets a kick to the face! Melissa tosses Savannah over the ropes with a desperate Standing Clothesline. Savannah lands on the apron and kicks Melissa in the face. She climbs to the top and goes for GERONIMOOOO! (Diving Crossbody)! Savannah gets the pin, but Melissa kicks out at two and a half! Sunshine picks up Melissa and hits the ropes! Flash dodges the STARBURST (Bicycle Kick) and counters with an Icon Kick (Roundhouse Kick) followed by a Bellamy Arch (Sharpshooter) for the submission victory!
Winner: Melissa Flash via submission
Backstage
Ruby Auriel is waiting for Misha LeCavalier backstage when the Lethal American Champion arrives. Ruby asks Misha about her answer to her proposal and Misha rubs her chin for a moment. She mentioned that she doesn’t like being caught up in the middle of someone else’s schemes, but is willing to forgive her if she wins her next match, and she’ll also consider an alliance. Ruby smiles and states that her match will be at the next house show against one of the “Runts of Wrestling”. Misha nods and states that they’ll talk soon and leaves, adding that she only associates herself with winners.

Kayla Winters vs. Bianca Page
As Bianca Page waited for her opponent, the tron turned on to reveal Kayla Winters and Rebecca Brookes brawling with Season of Slaughter in the parking lot with Christy Winters and Grace Hollister. All four women were on the verge of getting their vengeance when security came in droves to separate everyone. As Page looked on annoyed, the ref got word from an official that Bianca Page would be tonight’s winner by default due to an automatic forfeit by Kayla due to her actions backstage. Bianca shrugged her shoulders and accepted her win with a smile, citing that she didn’t want to mess up her hair anyway.
Winner: Bianca Page via forfeit
Backstage
Yuki and Rina Sakaraba meet with Madam Vega in her office. The General Manager explains to the IJWF Champions that because of Lethal League she’s not able to schedule as many IJWF defenses as she likes, but has secured an upcoming defense with two of JET’s finest. She announces that the Sakaraba Sisters will be defending their belts against Tomoyo Hirate and Rio Kurokawa. Yuki grins, since she was familiar with both women. Rina looks a bit nervous when Yuki sees and hits her arm, stating that this was the challenge they were looking for. Both women left the office soon afterwards.
Main Event
Lethal League Block B Match
Devi Krysis vs. Roni de Vil
The bell rings as De Vil ties up collar and elbow with Devi. De Vil whips Devi into the ropes. Devi tries a shoulder block but De Vil doesn’t move. Devi goes to the ropes again and tries a shoulder block. De Vil knocks her down to the mat with a side kick. Devi gets up with a smile on her face and chops De Vil across the chest. De Vil stuns Devi across the face with a forearm and runs into the ropes. De Vil comes off the ropes and shoulder blocks Devi down. Devi kips up to her feet. De Vil comes off the ropes again. Devi leap frogs, and De Vil bounces back off and Devi hits a dropkick right to the jaw. Both women get to their feet quickly. Devi grapples Roni and after some chain wrestling, Devi traps Roni with an O’Conner Roll! Zelda Perera makes a count, but Roni de Vil kicks out and gets up to her feet. Devi hits a STO into an Anaconda Vice. The ref checks on the submission but Roni shows no sign of tapping out. She fought her way out, but was nailed in the face by a grounded knee shot from Devi.
Krysis picks up De Vil and slams her head into the turnbuckle. She whips De Vil to the corner and follows up with a running lariat, but De Vil moves out of the way as Devi hits chest first and stumbles back. De Vil capitalizes with a release German suplex, sending Devi across the ring. Devi rolls all the way out, trying to catch her breath. De Vil backs up to the center of the ring and moptions for Devi to come to her. Devi answers her invitation and the two start trading blows leading to Roni getting the upper hand. She whips Devi top the corner and goes for corner Shining Wizard, but Devi dodges and slams Roni into the turnbuckle! She wears down Roni, sits her on the turnbuckle and takes her down to the mat with a THUNDEROUS Superplex before making a cover!

Two!
Kickout by De Vil!
Devi picks up De Vil and drops her back to the mat with a Bloodcross (Straight Jacket Brainbuster)! Devi makes another cover, but Roni kicks out at two! Devi locks in an armbar on the bad shoulder of De Vil. De Vil tries to get to her feet and break free as Devi wrings the arm once more. De Vil manages to stand but Devi locks in the arm trap. She pushes De Vil back towards the ropes then whips her across the ring. De Vil comes off the near ropes and Devi misses a clothesline and gets caught in the face with a low dropkick, followed by a Silver Bullet II (Running big boot to a kneeling opponent). A failed cover leads Roni to pick up Devi where another exchange of strikes occurred. Devi was about to get the upper hand but Roni ducks a roundhouse and counters with a DEVASTATING Devil's Gentle Fist (Knockout Punch) followed by a quick pinfall victory!
Winner: Roni de Vil via pinfall
Post Match: Roni looks down at the Lethal Spark Champion in acknowledgement before leaving the ring in satisfaction.
