RISE GP B Block/Match 2: Kimiko Hayabusa [0] defeated Momoko Honda [2]

-----
RISE GP B Block/Match 3: Tomoyo Hirate [0] defeated Candice Blair w/Corrina Grey [2]
Two rivals who have faced off twice before this tournament, both times Candice came out on top. Even with her bodyguard at ringside, Candice couldn’t put away Tomoyo for a third straight time this season. The frustration soon got to the Academy Champ as Tomoyo was able to use that her advantage and lock Candice in with a Beautiful Epsilon Tract (Deadlift German Suplex) to secure the win after 15 minutes of great wrestling from the rivals.
- In a post-match interview following the match, an interviewer asked if Tomoyo would try to regain her Academy Title but the Prodigy only responded by saying she was going after a much bigger prize, the JET World Title.
-----
RISE GP B Block/Match 4: Rachael Frost [0] defeated Vanessa Santiago [2]
Last Saturday, Rachael Frost lost to Santiago’s stablemate Candice Blair but this week she was able to secure the win against Vanessa Santiago but La Dictadora wasn’t going down without giving Rachael a fight! The veteran’s injured neck and shoulder were heavily attacked again as Santiago targeted the limbs for most of the match. Frost would fight back and secure the win with an Aurora Beam (Elevated Sitout Facebuster).
-----
RISE GP B Block/Match 5: Main Event: KAGUYA [0] defeated Stela Delgato [2]
Tonight’s main event started off hot, both women started firing shots at one another. The match was fast-paced from the beginning as KAGUYA would eventually slow down the pace of the bout with a German Suplex. KAGUYA’s veteran instinct paid off as she was able to keep Stela grounded. This continued until Delgato got up to her feet countered KAGUYA’s Uraken counter with a Disarmed (Double Knee Armbreaker)! Stela followed up with a stomp on the foot and immediately fired a South Haven Healer for a two count.
After a long sequence where KAGUYA and Stela tried to put each other down with big moves after big moves, a missed Superkick attempt from Delgato cost her the match as KAGUYA locked in a Sleeper Hold till her opponent passed out and finished off the match with a Gotch Style Piledriver!
After her victory, KAGUYA takes a microphone and her music dies down before she speaks.
KAGUYA: Here I stand, with not only a win but two points. Credit goes to Delgato who put a better fight then I thought she would. But the fact remains, I’m the one walking out tonight with two points and think of this as the great run of KAGUYA towards becoming your GP winner! It’s about time KAGUYA-Gun ruled over JET with an absolute Iron-fist! KAGUYA-Gun is everything in this world and keep that in mind! KAGUYA-Gun Ichiban!
KAGUYA tosses her mic to the side and as her theme plays again, she grabs a KAGUYA-Gun shirt handing it to Stela who’s just recovering from the match.
KAGUYA: Think of this as your ticket to the top, make the right call Stela.
KAGUYA leaves, heading to the back as the final shot is of Stela with the KAGUYA-Gun shirt in her hand.

September 21st RISE Grand Prix Night 5
RISE GP B Block/Match 1: Kimiko Hayabusa [2] defeated Stela Delgato [2]
Kimiko was opening the show again, this time facing off against last show’s main eventer, Stela Delgato. Stela tried to use her dirty tactics to defeat Hayabusa but was unsuccessful in doing so as Kimiko countered one ‘South Haven Healer’ with a ‘Heartache’ (Running Double Knees). This would be the start of the end for the match as Kimiko followed up with a ‘Falcon’s Flight’ (Phoenixrana) and capture another win for herself.
-----
Match 2: Rachael Frost [2] defeated Tomoyo Hirate [2]
Veteran experience vs. young untapped potential was the story for this match as both women came off getting major wins on Night 3. The match worked at a slow pace but got faster near the end with multiple false finishes by both women. Rachael was able to pick up the win with a brilliant ‘Coldsnap’ (Kimura Lock) causing Tomoyo to tap out.
-----
Match 3: Vanessa Santiago [2] defeated Momoko Honda [2]
Both of them are coming off of losses in their previous GP bout, so it was time to stop before a losing streak starts. Santiago is able to just that, getting an advantage with smooth wrestling takedowns and arm based holds. Momoko would eventually fight back, hitting Vanessa with a ‘Dance of many stars’ followed by a ‘Tsunami Strike’ (Shining Wizard)! With the crowd on her side, Momoko would head to the top rope and go for a ‘Happy Landing’ (Diving Elbow) only for it to be countered into a Cross Armbreaker by Vanessa. La Dictadora, would soon smoothly transition it into ‘The Takeover’ (Omoplata) and Momoko couldn’t handle the pain, tapping out!
-----
Match 4: KAGUYA [2] defeated Stacy Deville [4]
Both women naturally butted head right from the beginning. The match they had was destructive, both women threw all they could with the intentions of going all out! KAGUYA got the match to swing in her favor as she hit Stacy with multiple Uraken (Spinning Backfist) that stunned her opponent. The Hero Killer tried to go for a Gotch Piledriver but Stacy countered out of it and hits KAGUYA with her own Snap Piledriver! The end of this match was near but someone had a different plan! It was Stela Delgato and she’s wearing a KAGUYA-Gun shirt! Does this mean she accepted KAGUYA’s offer?! The distraction paid off for KAGUYA as she able to lock in a Sleeper hold and transition it into a Gotch Piledriver!
-----
Main Event: Midori Miyamoto [0] defeated Candice Blair [2]
Midori Miyamoto hasn’t had a successful GP so far, being the only one who is without a win in this year’s event for her block. Meanwhile, Candice had lost to Tomoyo on Night 3. The two of them started off calmly with a simple lock up but it soon turned into Candice’s advantage, being able to work the back and neck of Midori. Every time the Hybrid Dragon tried to get something going, she was shut down by the Academy Champion. Midori kept fighting and kicking out of Candice’s pinfall attempts. Candice tried to finish Midori with a Candy Crush but it was smoothly countered, leading to her opponent hitting BURNING! Candice was stunned as Midori followed this up with a Sliding Knee and finishing it with a Catalyst Shift (Chaos Theory Suplex! Midori is finally on the board and just beat Candice Blair!
Midori lays on the mat for a moment after the bell rings. She wipes her forehead before she rolls onto her stomach and makes it to a knee. She then stands to her feet. The crowd cheers and claps as “Ashes” by Lynch plays throughout the arena. However, the song dies down as Midori is handed a microphone. She scans the crowd a moment before she speaks in Japanese.
Midori Miyamoto: Professional wrestling is a cut-throat sport. It’s not for the meek. It’s an industry in which people will try to use you in order to prop themselves up and make themselves look people. KAGUYA-Gun is an example of that; but so is Candice Blair. Think back to the RISE Together tournament. Candice and her team? They underestimate me, Mizuki, and Ai. We weren’t real competitors to her—we were stepping stones. And I’m willing to bet Candice had the same thought process going into this match tonight. She probably thought this match was going to be a piece of cake. But she was wrong, just like she was wrong back then. I won’t be used, and I won’t be ignored. I'm no stepping stone!
She takes a moment to breathe.
Midori Miyamoto: I’ve had a slow start in the RISE Grand Prix. But the wise people who trained me always told me to never stop fighting. That’s what led to my victory here tonight. And it’s going to lead me to more victories here in the Grand Prix and beyond. Don’t you dare count me out.
Midori nods.
Midori Miyamoto: Thank you.
“Ashes” begins to cue back up as Midori sets the microphone down in the middle of the ring and slides underneath the bottom ropes She then makes her way to the back.

Trading shots in the middle of the ring until Midori ducked a roundhouse kick attempt from Tomoyo and hits a Snap brainbuster! The way that Tomoyo landed on her neck was gruesome as the ref checks on her only to see her wanting to continue too much applause from the crowd. Anything Kimiko tried to do was easily countered by Deville who soon smoothly transitioned into a Fujiwara from a grounded position! You can see Stacy wanting Kimiko to tap as she forced the hold deep! Kimiko soon crawled towards the rope and got a hold of the bottom rope as the crowd cheered her on. The armbar was broken but Stacy went right back as she picked up Kimiko and attempted her Snap Piledriver but the Pink Princess was able to escape it! The match rages on as both women try to end it with some of their major moves like Santiago hitting a Shining Wizard and Stacy hitting a snap piledriver, the latter of which becomes the prelude to the end as Stacy soon follows up with a ‘DeVille Driver II’ (High Bridged Northern Lights Suplex)!
-----
Match 3: Midori Miyamoto [2] defeated Rachael Frost [6]
Two competitors on the complete opposite sides of the leaderboard, Rachael Frost currently in second meanwhile Midori Miyamoto is second-to-last. That changed tonight as Midori was on her game. She had a counter to everything Rachael was gonna do but that soon didn’t turn out to be the case as Rachael hit a ‘Chill In The Air’ (Jumping Superkick). -----
Match 4: Candice Blair w/Corrina Grey [4] defeated Kimiko Hayabusa [6]

Candice targeted Kimiko’s left arm for a majority of the match, the same one that Stacy DeVille targeted during the last show on Tuesday. Kimiko is fighting through the match though as she able to land some offense of her own. Kimiko would follow up with a ‘Heartache’ (Running Double Knees)! The Pink Princess would head outside apron as she yelled at Candice to get on her feet! KAGUYA got the advantage with shoot kicks following it soon with a Pitch Black Kick. Only a two count as KAGUYA continued to attack Tomoyo and take this match. Tomoyo soon got up to her feet and it seemed that she was daring KAGUYA to attack her right on the chin. The leader of KAGUYA-Gun fired forearms right at Tomoyo but it seemed to not fazed her. KAGUYA goes for another couple of shots but it’s working. Tomoyo now responds with shoot kicks right at the chest of KAGUYA. Tomoyo continues to kick until KAGUYA is pushed right into the corner. The former Academy champ now rushes to the opposite corner looking for a running dropkick but KAGUYA dodges it and lands an Uraken right on the side of Tomoyo’s face.
KAGUYA now attempts a Gotch-Style Piledriver but it’s countered Tomoyo who is able to hit bridging German Suplex. But that’s not all as she able to deadlift KAGUYA for an Epsilon Tract (Deadlift German Suplex)! Tomoyo after a long and grueling battle wins and has secured another 2 points for herself.
As ‘Amida no Ito’ by DracoVirgo plays, KAGUYA is helped to the back by Rei Kagura and Saiko Hotaru. Meanwhile, Tomoyo is asking for a microphone from one of the young girls. The music dies down as Tomoyo soon begins to speak in front of the crowd in Aomori.
Tomoyo Hirate: I finally get what Goto-sensei told me when I first joined the JET dojo, pro-wrestling is about showing your resiliency. To not be willing to quit after dealing with great losses. It was only a couple of weeks ago I wanted to quit this company but after one match, I can say that I’m never let myself be down like that ever! Aomori, I think I’m finally back to my top form!
Tomoyo takes a moment to catch her breath.
Tomoyo Hirate: I’ve got four more matches, so you know I’m gonna make a push to win this year. At the end of the day, I will continue to live on by the lessons that my mentor has taught me and that’s to take on every challenger and never down a fight!
The crowd applause before Tomoyo speaks again.
Tomoyo Hirate: Ijou (that’s all)!
“Amida no Ito” plays again as Tomoyo bows to the crowd and leaves for the back.

With the first two matches pulling out some massive upsets, another would not be a shock for tonight’s show. The match was in total control for Candice, who still had a great chance of making the finals if it comes down to tiebreakers. The youngest Ava would make sure things went her way thanks to her bodyguard Corrina Grey at ringside. Luckily it seems Momoko had backup in the form of Corrina’s opponent for the GP Finals event. Corrina tried to intervene only for the monstrous woman to be stopped by Takigawa. This made an even matchup as Momoko countered ‘A Little Bit of Blair’ with a backstabber and quickly rose to the ropes for a Happy Landing (Diving Elbow drop)!

This match could shape the block’s final round of competition and after a grueling 20-minute bout filled with near falls and false finishes, the match ended with a Snap Piledriver only to be followed up with a Deville Driver II (High Bridged Northern Lights Suplex)

The crowd applauds Rachael as she heads up towards the entrance area. Kimiko soon continues to talk while breathing heavily.
Kimiko Hayabusa: (So I did it huh? I’m in the finals next Saturday… Only one more match to go. This has been a killer schedule not just on me but every girl in the back and I would like thank for everyone’s undying support. Regardless of who you cheer, this has been amazing Block of competition… Now I need to give my message to all three of the competitors left in Block A competing for the finals spot. Regardless of who comes out on top, whether you be in the underdog, the foreigner or the legend. I’m gonna win this entire damn tournament. Keep that in mind!)
Kimiko throws her microphone as she falls to her knees, the exhaustion from the match finally hitting her. The crowd throws a barrage of pink streamers as “Fly Again” plays again ending tonight’s show.
