JET 13: Shinjuku FACE, Tokyo, Japan
(A recap of JET 12 is shown as we can see clips of Azumi Goto announcing the opponents for the LAW champions, KAGUYA threatening her Collision Course opponent Tomoyo Hirate and Midori Miyamoto becoming Number 1 contender to the Academy Title. Soon we cut to a LIVE Shinjuku FACE and the commentary team of Hanako Nakamoto and Maki Fujioka ready to go tonight.)
Maki Fujioka: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to JET 13 LIVE from Shinjuku FACE! I am Maki Fujioka and I’m joined as always by the legendary Hanako Nakamoto, we’re continuing our road to the first ever IJWF Joint Super-show. With Collision Course just over 2 weeks away, it’s time for us to look towards the event.
Hanako Nakamoto: Of course Maki and we’ve got a stacked card for you this evening. Tonight’s Main Event one is interesting as potential Cinderella Story opponents clash with Kimiko Hayabusa teaming up along with Momoko Honda to take on JET World Champ KAGUYA and her stablemate Kyoko Watanabe. We’ve also got Number 1 contender to the JET Academy Championship Midori Miyamoto taking on Corrina Grey in a big-time singles match but before we get to that match, let’s go right to our opening contest.
Match 1: Yuki Takigawa vs. Tori De Vil
The match goes by as Yuki is dominating with her series of menacing strikes over one half of DeVil Sisters as she keeps giving Tori a few kicks before she even gets up on her feet. She dominates the first half of the match as Yuki misses her attack and it gets exploited well by Tori. Tori begins to strike Yuki's legs and weaken her strikes. However, with damaged legs, Yuki still able to strike back. However, Tori keeps striking Yuki's legs and dismantle her good. Tori ends Yuki as she hits The Hawthorne Effect (Snap Lifting Full Nelson Reverse STO).
(Winner - Tori DeVil)
As Tori is celebrating her win, we cut to the office of Yoko Kudo as Vanessa Santiago, Virginia Atwood and Corrina Grey are seemingly annoyed at the JET GM who is talking on the phone, chatting with someone important it seems. Soon the conversation ends as Yoko Kudo looks at the JET Trios Champions who seem to be mad.
Yoko Kudo: So what can I help you ladies with? Let me guess, does it has to deal with your planned title defense at Collision?
Vanessa Santiago: Yes, first how dare Azumi Goto not tell us our opponents first. We deserve to know, The Blondetourage has been more influential than any stable in 2o18 and yet we haven’t gotten the respect that we deserve. So we would like you to hurry up and tell us the LAW talent that we’re gonna be beating at Collision Course or maybe we are so amazing that no LAW talent truly wants to step up and challenge us for our Trios Championship.
Yoko Kudo: No you have challengers for the Trios Championship, but they aren’t from Lethal Angels. Collision Course is supposed to show all different kinds of matchups between all of the IJWF-linked promotions so rather than challengers from LAW, our good friends at Sakura Shoujo Stampede have actually found your challengers. They have the type of challenger I’ve been looking for and these women might have the same kind of unity that The Blondetourage has. Your opponents for Collision Course are the SSS stable Sakura-Gumi.
Virginia Atwood: Who? Let me guess, they’re some no name faction from Sakura Shoujo Stampede. I think I can say for all of us here that we’re disappointed in you. I guess we’ll need to make an example out of Sakura-Gumi and prove that we deserve much better competition than what we are given.
The Trios Champs leave the office as we soon cut to commercial.
Commercial Break for IJWF Collision Course.
The scene opens in an alley as we see Tomoyo Hirate is recording herself in a phone camera. She sits at the pile of boxes as she begins to talk.
Tomoyo Hirate: So Azumi's lackey, huh? You know me only because of that. Listen to me you old pile of crap. I am no longer associated with Azumi for the long time and in fact, I am now traveling all over the world to wrestle wherever I go without any help of her. As you can see now, I am already in America before the rest of JET is coming here for the US tour. I am already here before all of you because I have wrestled here and no, Azumi is not with me. I came to America alone, I am fighting here alone like a lone wolf that I am and at Collision Course, I am going to rip you and take your title away, all alone, all by myself because that is how I work. Go ahead, send your pack of underlings with you. They will not stop me to fulfill my destiny. Because Joshi Extreme Takeover will be on the hand of The Prodigy. And when the time comes, when I am finally getting rid of the older generation like you, the dawn of the new era will come and you.... you will be gone. Gone with the wind, like every other old generations before you.
Tomoyo reaches out her phone and turns it off, instantly cut the scene. The scene cuts backstage. Standing there is Midori Miyamoto, dressed in her ring gear. She looks directly into the camera’s lens before she speaks.
Midori Miyamoto: When Joshi Extreme Takeover 13 was announced, I’m sure many people viewed my bout with Corrina Grey as just a “nice little match.” But in reality, it’s far greater than that. I know it. And Corrina should too.
She shakes her head.
Midori Miyamoto: I don’t like you, Corrina. I’m sure you probably know that. It’s not because your size allows you to do things in the ring that I can’t. And it’s not because you and your dusty crew hold the JET Trios Championships—
Midori snaps her fingers.
Midori Miyamoto: It’s what you did to get them that pisses me off.
She’s silent for a few seconds.
Midori Miyamoto: Professional wrestling is a combat sport. Loses will come; that’s inevitable. That’s just something you’ve got to come to terms with when you jump in. So it doesn’t bother me that you, Vanessa, and Virginia beat my team to told those belts. But it does bother me that you intentionally injured and maimed my teammate...
She lifts an eyebrow.
Midori Miyamoto: You remember Ai Moe, don’t you? I sure do. The rest of JET does as well.
Midori pauses for a second or two.
Midori Miyamoto: I still remember the sound of her flesh hitting the ring post. I still remember her screams. I still remember the tears that poured from her eyes as she tried to continue to fight you, but just couldn’t. I also remember you trying to hurt me as well; you just weren’t able to.
She cracks her knuckles.
Midori Miyamoto: Corrina, sometimes heinous things go unpunished in professional wrestling. Maybe you thought your actions would go unchecked as well. But that won’t be the case, not tonight. You hurt a good person, a person who was set to have a great career in JET. And I’m going to make you pay for hurting her. KAGUYA-Gun thought they were in the clear, but I helped put a stop to them. Now? It’s your turn.
She nods.
Midori Miyamoto: And Candice? I hope that you open up your eyes and pay attention to what happens in this match. Maybe you’ll see what a true wrestler looks like and how she conducts herself.
The picture fades out.
Semi-Main Event: Midori Miyamoto vs. Corrina Grey w/Candice Blair
In what could be considered a battle of David vs. Goliath, tonight’s semi-main event saw Midori Miyamoto take on the hired gun and bodyguard of Candice Blair, Corrina Grey while the Academy champ herself is in the corner as Grey’s second. The early parts of this match saw Midori attack Corrina with strikes that stunned her but soon an attempted running forearm is countered into a bicycle kick by Corrina. The match from here on was all Corrina as she targeted Midori’s leg with multiple stomps potentially set a target for Candice Blair before the Academy Title match at Collision Course. Anytime Midori was trying to fight off the mammoth of a woman, it was easily countered by Corrina. Soon Grey attempted a Sin City Plunge (Crucifix Powerbomb) but it was countered as Midori escaped before she got hit with the move.
Now Miyamoto is fighting back with chops and forearms. The crowd behind the Hybrid Dragon as she lays into the Hired Gun! Corrina goes Lariat but Midori blocks with a kick and follows it up with a Gamengiri! Midori with now gets behind Corrina and gets a waist lock going, HUGE GERMAN SUPLEX FROM MIDORI!!! It only gets a close two count as Corrina kicks out. There’s a look of concern now on the Academy Champ meanwhile Midori waiting for Corrina to get back to her feet signaling for the Shattercryst! She charges in but Candice Blair intercepts her with a running title shot to the head! This will cost a DQ for Corrina but I think the champ is more focused on assaulting Midori.
(Winner by DQ - Midori Miyamoto)
Post-match we see Candice continuing the assault as she is tearing into the left leg of Midori with attacks targeting it! The ref is pushed aside by Corrina as Candice now signals her bodyguard to end it. Grey follows this up by picking up Midori and hitting her with a Sin City Plunge! Midori Miyamoto is out as now Candice Blair looks down directly at Midori.
Candice Blair: As long as I breathe, there will never be a different Academy Champion in this company. I will reign forever and I want you to get that through your head.
Corrina soon gets Candice on her shoulder as this allows the Academy Champ to raises her title high in the air for all to see as we now cut to commercial.
Commercial Break!
The scene opens in Yoko Kudo's office as she looks at the door to see someone she expected.
Mizuki Nakata: You're looking for me?
Yoko Kudo: Yes, yes. Please. Take a seat!
Mizuki takes a seat as Yoko begins to state her intention to call Mizuki.
Yoko Kudo: So, I'll just get straight to the point right now. As you might now that we're going to have a Supremacy Battle between LAW and JET. Team LAW already revealed all their members and now it's our turn. The reason why I called you here because JET needs the team leader. As the Ace of JET, the Defender of JET. I think you will be the perfect figure for it.
Mizuki Nakata: What? Me? Why me? I can't lead my own team. I am struggling here. I was eliminated early at the last elimination match and last week, I lost to Midori. No, you better find somebody else.
Yoko Kudo: Mizuki, listen to me. I still believe in you.... and I still believe that you will bounce back from your downfall. You might get eliminated early on last match, but you.... it was you who bring all of your teammate together. I want you to give your magic to get your team together once again in this match and trust me, nobody is doing it better than you. So please, Mizuki. Please help us, help the place you are living, the place you call home.
Mizuki is not responding instantly but rather pauses for a moment. She then shakes her head and gets off the seat.
Mizuki Nakata: I'll keep that in mind.
Mizuki then leaves the office with a concerned look from the GM as the scene goes back to the ring.
Main Event: KAGUYA-Gun (KAGUYA and Kyoko Watanabe) vs. Kimiko Hayabusa and Momoko Honda
For the first time since their RISE Grand Prix match, Kimiko Hayabusa and KAGUYA stood against one another in a match. The action was fast and furious in the early going as the crowd was given a preview of what they might be seeing at Cinderella Story. Hayabusa and Honda were firing on all cylinders right from the start as they were looking to continue their hot streak heading into Collision Course. The RISE GP Winner was gladly getting the advantage of the JET World Champ until Kyoko Watanabe with a cheap shot is able to stop Hayabusa and get the match in favor of her side. This allowed KAGUYA to hit Hayabusa with a Gamengiri that stuns the Pink Princess. Soon the match is slowed down as Kyoko and KAGUYA get frequent tags and are able to work on Kimiko together.
The momentum slowly fades to the side of Hayabusa and Honda as Kyoko missed a Jawbreaker (Enzuigiri) and got hit with a Heartache to the back of the head from Hayabusa. Momoko is getting the crowd in rallying Hayabusa to make the hot tag AND IT’S MADE! Momoko is in and she is laying to the JET World Champ, forearms, chops and any other strike you could think of, Momo was hitting on KAGUYA. The Black Heart was able to stun Momo’s momentum with a rolling elbow but that didn’t last long as Momoko hit a roundhouse kick to KAGUYA! She is sent back into her corner as Kyoko tags herself in. Watanabe fights off both Kimiko Hayabusa and Momoko Honda but she gets kicked into the leg by Hayabusa which leads to her go down to one leg and Momoko follows it up with a Tsunami Strike (Shining Wizard)! Kyoko is out as Kimiko sees KAGUYA getting back up on the outside, the Pink Princess rushes the ropes and hits a suicide dive to the JET World Champ. Meanwhile, Momoko is left with Kyoko and the Star Warrior hits the KAGUYA-Gun member with an Earth Quaker (Cross-armed neckbreaker)!!
(Winners - Kimiko Hayabusa and Momoko Honda.)
Kimiko and Momoko celebrate their victory as they raised their hands to the corner. They are hugging each other, leading to the end of the show with JET and IJWF logo cuts off.
