JET 18: Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan
(A recap of JET17 from Sasebo featuring, the contract signing between KAGUYA and Kimiko Hayabusa, the semi-finals of the Biggest Dreamer tournament and announcement of both Academy Titles and Trios title being set as we learned that Ai Moe will face Candice Blair and Blondetourage will face Rio Kurokawa, Tomoyo Hirate and a mystery partner as Yuki Takigawa was confirmed to be injured thanks to Blondetourage themselves.. We soon cut to a jam-packed Korakuen Hall crowd as “Garasu Wo Ware” by Keyakizaka46 plays, the camera shows us the JET Commentary team, Hanako Nakamoto and Maki Fujioka as the two of them are ready to go as they set their headsets on.)
Hanako Nakamoto: Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to JET 18, this is it! Our last stop before Cinderella Story 2019, Korakuen Hall will be home of the final JET show before we head to the Budokan. I’m your lead commentator "Ironheart" Hanako Nakamoto and joined by as always with Maki Fujioka.
Maki: Thank you so much, Hanako-san! I’m really excited to call my first ever Budo----
(Soon Maki is interrupted as “Lydia” by Highly Suspect plays as Nina Sanada walks out. She slowly walks towards the ring with a look of conviction on her face.)
Hanako Nakamoto: It appears that Nina Sanada has something to say before her retirement match against Mizuki Nakata.
Maki Fujioka: I’m sure Sanada would like to share a few words with the audience and perhaps Nakata herself before their main event at Cinderella Story. Hanako-san, as a veteran of the industry, what must be going through her head?
Hanako Nakamoto: If she’s calling out Mizuki, I think Nina wants to see what’s going on in her head. She may want to make sure Nakata knows how important this match is.
(Nina Sanada climbs into the ring and takes a microphone.)
Nina Sanada: I’ll be short and sweet: Mizuki Nakata, get your butt out here.
Maki Fujioka: Just like we said.
(“Rage of Dust” by SPYAIR plays as Mizuki Nakata walks out, and makes her way to the right without delay. She accepts another mic from Sanada and stands across from her opponent to hear what she has to say.)
Nina Sanada: Twenty years. That’s how long I gave my life for this business. That’s more years than half of the girls in our dojo. That’s more years than more sports athletes. When we get into that ring, whatever happens, will be a culmination of twenty years of hard work. When people look back on what I’ve accomplished, our match will be the most recent memory in their minds. Now you might look like you’re taking it seriously, but you didn’t look it the other night during that live show. Mizuki, I need you to listen closely. You may be familiar with another woman saying this, but I need you to know and understand why I chose you. We’re not that different from each other Nakata. We both come from prominent families. We both have a reputation for surviving some of the most extreme matches anyone has seen. We’ve both held tag titles and world championships. You know what it means to be the face of JET - even if you held the world title once. You - like me - won the RISE Grand Prix. You’ve been in my shoes Mizuki, even more so than Azumi or even Stephanie. I couldn’t think of fighting anyone else, Mizuki. I was my first and last choice. So the next time you train, get this into your head: my career is in your hands. Treat it accordingly.
(Nina pauses for a moment, giving Mizuki Nakata a moment to speak.)
Mizuki Nakata: Fine. You’ll see me at my best at Cinderella Story.
(Mizuki bows and leaves the ring, leaving the five-time JET World Championship by herself.)
Maki Fujioka: Mizuki isn’t one for many words, she is a woman who likes to use her actions instead to speak. Mizuki knows the importance of this match, she is The Chosen One. This match could end up being the greatest JET bout of all time at this rate.
Hanako Nakamoto: You’re right about that, Maki. I can’t wait for these two to clash but for now, we have a set card for all the fans tonight. We will be right back with tonight’s action after this!
(Commercial Break promoting Cinderella Story.)
Opening Contest: Midori Miyamoto and Julia Zhang vs. Tori De Vil and Mitra Marvel.
The opening contest for tonight featured the finalists of the Biggest Dreamer Tournament. Both Mitra didn’t interact with one another too much but when they did, it was electric. The two of them countered a lot of their signature attempts as they seem to have been preparing for their eventual clash on 17th. The match ended after Julia was hit with “The Hawthorne Effect” from Tori De Vil followed by a Solar Flare from Mitra. The foreigner team picks up the win as Mitra continues her hot streak.
(Winner - Mitra Marvel and Tori De Vil)
(The camera cuts from the celebrating Mitra and Tori as we get a pre-recorded video from Azumi Goto, who is inside the JET Dojo, looking at the posters on the wall. Posters of the past of the Cinderella Story used to hide the cracks in the wall.)
“This is going to be my third Cinderella Story, the first time I compete at the event while the role of JET Owner. I was there live, watching the first Cinderella Story as a teenager, just a couple years younger than you, Momo-chan. The main event was a young Nina Sanada versus the company’s founder and my mentor Miss Manami for the JET World Championship. Of course, I was a fan of both women and the Joshi world but this event, seeing it live as a fan was something else. The energy, the elegance, the beauty, and the wrestling was amazing to see in person. The first ever Cinderella Story was made a young Azumi want to be a wrestler. I know the importance of this event as a fan, a competitor and a JET executive. Cinderella Story is where we see the most talented, the most beautiful, and the driven compete. When I made the challenge to you, I had the intention of seeing the rough diamond that people can’t stop talking about. Of course, you are that diamond Momoko. So much untapped talent and yet so young, I think signing you, in the end, was a right call.”
(Azumi soon faces the camera with a smile on her face.)
“You’re one of the brightest stars right now and I genuinely am excited to face you at Cinderella Story. This might be your biggest challenge, Momo-chan. To impress me and show me why you deserve your moniker of the Heart and Soul of Joshi. My job is to ensure the future of JET and what I want to know from you is if you are going to be in that future. Do you have what it takes to compete in the same ring as some of the legends, the people who have paved the way? Are you ready to take that step, I want to know your answer not by your words but by your action when we meet at the Budokan. I’ll see you there, Momo-chan!”
(Azumi waves goodbye as the camera fades to black and to commercial.)
(Commercial Break for LAW’s Lethal Hearts Supershow! Watch it live on March 24th!)
Singles Match: Momoko Honda vs. Sora Todoh
With her opponent Azumi Goto, sending her a message before their big Budokan match, it was time for Momoko to respond with a big-time win. She was up against Shooting Star and protege of the other JET owner Stephanie Matsuda. Both girls even though just 18, tore the house down with excellent action. Quick strikes, maneuvers, and finisher attempt plenty in this one. Unfortunately for Sora, Momoko was too focused on looking to win here tonight as she was able to get the pin on the “Shooting Star” after an Earth-Quaker.
(Winner - Momoko Honda)
(Post-Match as Momoko Honda is celebrating, she soon goes over to her opponent and shakes her hand before telling Sora to never give up.)
(Commercial Break talking about the IJWF Twitter.)
(We soon return to ringside as it’s time for the main event. Blondetourage are first as they enter to Candice’s “Mic Drop” theme, a show of unity as the four of them hold up their respective championships. This is soon followed by the entrances for the Blondetourage’s challengers at Cinderella Story, it seems that Yuki Takigawa hasn’t recovered will definitely miss Cinderella Story. Rio Kurokawa, Tomoyo Hirate and Ai Moe stand side by side as Candice mockingly asks the three a question.)
Hanako Nakamoto: It seems that Ai Moe and co. haven't found a replacement for Yuki Takigawa. This could be bad if they are forced to wrestle a handicap match tonight.
Hanako Nakamoto: It seems that Ai Moe and co. haven't found a replacement for Yuki Takigawa. This could be bad if they are forced to wrestle a handicap match tonight.
Candice (off-mic): So where’s Yuki… oh, wait she’s out because of us! Looks like you’ll be fighting a handicap match.
(As soon as Candice finishes her sentence, “Run To The Future” by Cynthia plays as it seems Ai and co. have found their partner! Natsu Toyama is here and she’s making her way down to the ringside area to join Kurokawa, Hirate and Moe.)
Maki Fujioka: It seems that we've found Takigawa's replacement! The Second Generation Goddess herself! NATSU TOYAMA! You can see a livid face on The Blondetourage, they thought that it was gonna be a handicap match but it seems that we've got ourselves a proper 8-woman tag match tonight!

Main Event: The Blondetourage (Candice Blair, Vanessa Santiago, Virginia Atwood, and Corrina Grey) vs. Ai Moe, Rio Kurokawa, Tomoyo Hirate and Natsu Toyama
The eight-woman main event is underway as multiple combustible elements were alarming. Ai Moe was going to do everything in her power to get her hands on Candice and it seems that Kurokawa and Hirate wanted to get back at Blondetourage for injuring Yuki Takigawa. The match was intense and fast as the challengers had the advantage in the early going thanks to Rio Kurokawa before Corrina Grey entered and shifted the entire match for Blondetourage. The middle stretch of the match was Blondetourage till a hot tag by Rio to Tomoyo, the Prodigy was able to shift the match to her team’s side.
Tomoyo was able to fight off The Blondetourage. After a long and draining match, the finish saw Natsu Toyama pinning Atwood with a Bridging Final Answer (Double Hammerlock German Suplex)!!
(Winners - Ai Moe, Rio Kurokawa, Tomoyo Hirate and Natsu Toyama)
(Post-match as “Run To The Future” is playing, we see Ai, Rio, Tomoyo, and Natsu stand tall in the middle of the ring with their hands raised in victory. The Blondetourage are up to the ramp as Ai Moe turns to face her rival and mouths her that she is taking the Academy Title at Budokan. A look of concern is on the face of Candice as she clutching her title closely while the camera fades and we get the JET and IJWF logos.)
