“Phoenix” by Burnout Syndromes continues to play as we get a shot of Nippon Budokan ready to go. A packed crowd in attendance to see the biggest JET event of the year, the camera goes over to Maki Fujioka and Asuka Kuramochi ready to go for tonight’s show.
Maki Fujioka: With nearly 8,000 plus devoted JET fans in attendance here, we are pleased to bring you all, Cinderella Story 2020 once again coming from Nippon Budokan for the second straight year! I’m Maki Fujioka and joined as always by my lovely commentary partner, Asuka Kuramochi! What a show we’ve got in store for our fans tonight!
Asuka Kuramochi: You’re right, the past, present, and future of JET are all going to be shown tonight. We’ve got four championship matches, two massive special singles matches, KAGUYA-Gun vs JET and of course our opening contest of the evening. I think our crew is ready to go, so let’s get right to it.
Opening Match/Battle Royale To Determine Number #1 Contender for JET Academy Championship
The opening contest of Cinderella story was fast and furious as everyone tried to win this guaranteed title shot against the winner of Momoko and IZM. Moments like Machiko and Makiya squaring up in a battle of power and such were highlights of the match. The final four came down to Makiya Kusanagi, Hanna Rockford, Amy Slayton and Machiko. The ending saw Amy Slayton eliminate Hanna Rockford to secure her spot as Number 1 contender for the Academy Championship.
(Winner - Amy Slayton)
Match 2/Six-Women Tag Team Match:
KAGUYA-Gun (Q, SAIKO and Rei Kagura) vs. Tomoyo Hirate, Ai Moe and Sora Todoh)
Both teams shared some dialogue amongst themselves before settling on Q and Sora Todoh. They meet in the ring for a good ‘ol fashioned collar and elbow with Q’s successful transition into a side headlock. Sora counters by pushing her into the ropes, but Q hits a front dropkick off the rebound. She successfully keeps Sora grounded with some transitional mat wrestling. When Sora attempts to escape, Q catches her in a deadlift bridging dragon suplex! Sora kicks out at two and tries to create some distance, but Q still maintains control of the match. She gets Sora into a corner and starts wailing on her with stiff elbows to the face. She backs up and hits a running knee to the face while tagging Rei who lands a running hip attack to a seated and stubbed Sora. Kagura pulls her out for a pin, but Todoh kicks out at two. Rei pulls Sora’s hair and flips her onto her back. She applies a Boston Crab which Sora attempts to fight by crawling towards the ropes. The closer she got, the more Rei pulled her away. On the third try Sora made it to the ropes. Rei was forced to break the hold and tried to attack Sora who was pulling herself up using the ropes. Todoh countered with a back body drop over the ropes and knocked Rei off the apron with a surprise enzuigiri
Maki Fujioka: Kagura is knocked to the outside! Sora is going for the tag! Rei is back in the ring but it’s too late! Tag to Ai Moe!
Asuka Kuramochi: Ai is blasting out of the corner! She’s knocking Rei off her feet! Front dropkick to SAIKO and Q who tried to enter the ring!
Ai lands a swift Shotei palm strike to Kagura who just got to her feet. She attempts a Fujiwara armbar, but Kagura rolls out of it and hits the ropes. Ai leapfrogs over her, leading SAIKO to tag herself in when Rei rebounds. Moe doesn’t see this, instead knocking Rei off her feet with a yakuza kick. Before she could do anything else, SAIKO hits a SAI-ANARA (Hurricanrana from the top rope) from out of nowhere. Ai scrambles to get to her feet, but is knocked back by a running front dropkick into the turnbuckles. SAIKO charges forward and plants a sickening dropkick to the face. She goes for a pin, but Ai kicks out. SAIKO applies a dragon sleeper, leaning back into the hold. Ai tries to fight out of it, but SAIKO tightens the grip. After some struggle, Ai manages to flip out of the hold and counter with a German suplex! With both women on the mat, their respective teams called upon them to make a tag. Ai manages to get to her side first, tagging in Tomoyo Hirate.
Maki Fujioka: Tomoyo hops into the ring! SAIKO is about to make the- PENALTY KICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!
Askua Kuramochi: SAIKO is laid out! Rei is yelling at Tomoyo who answers with a swift kick! Rei catches the leg! She’s hooking it over the ropes! Q with the slingshot clothesline and now there’s pandemonium in the ring!
Ai and Sora enter the ring to back up their ally. Rei starts trading blows with Ai while Sora and Q go head-to-head. SAIKO capitalizes on a wounded Tomoyo with a snap suplex. She follows this up with a double stomp to the chest. As her allies throw Ai and Sora out of the ring, SAIKO climbs to the top and lands a sick moonstomp! She goes for another pin, but Tomoyo kicks out! At ringside Rei grabs Ai from the hair and smashes her face into the guardrail! Q and Sora are both going at it, exchanging strikes and kicks. Sora gets the upper hand and whips Q into the guardrail. She follows this up with a cannonball into the Q, knocking her through the rail! The crowd is in awe as they watch SAIKO and Tomoyo repeatedly slip out of each other’s suplexes. Hirate ended the charade with a rolling elbow to the face! With SAIKO dazed, Tomoyo hits a flawless Fisherman’s Suplex for the pin! Rei slides into the ring and breaks the count just in time! She picks up Tomoyo and hits a reverse STO! Rei climbed out to the apron so she could be tagged in. SAIKO makes the tag and Rei doesn’t hesitate to slam her opponent’s head repeatedly on the mat!
Maki Fujioka: Rei Kagura isn’t hesitating at all! She wants to rid Tomoyo Hirate from this world!
Asuka Kuramochi: With their partner Q still struggling to get back to the apron, they need to make these next few moments count! Kagura whips Hirate to the ropes...Tomoyo ducks the big boot, rebounds...flying European uppercut! Hirate kip ups to her feet!
Tomoyo whips Rei to her team’s corner. She hits a running clothesline and tags in Sora who jumps in, delivering several shoot kicks to the chest. Todoh drags her from out of the corner, hitting a running bulldog! Instead of heading to her team’s side, Q sneaks over to her opponent's side where she pulls down Ai and delivers a Samoan drop to the outside floor! Without hesitation, Tomoyo charges at her with a penalty kick off the apron, but Q side steps and pulls the leg, sending Hirate down. Before she could react, Q sends her flying with an exploder suplex! Sora was too busy fighting Rei, hitting her with a shotgun dropkick that sent her halfway across the ring. SAIKO leaned against the ropes and started taunting Sora who was doing her best to not be distracted. However, a split second was all Rei needed as she forced Sora into the corner, unleashing several kicks to the gut. While the ref told SAIKO to settle down, Rei gouged at Sora’s eyes. Rei ran to the opposite corner and charged at Sora with a vicious running Yakuza kick! As she pulls Sora out from the corner, SAIKO tagged herself in and got in front in time for Flip The Switch (Monkey Flip)!
Maki Fujioka: SAIKO has Sora in her arms...PSYCHO IMPALER! She’s laid her out with that backbreaking GTR!
Asuka Kuramochi: Rei delivers a vicious baseball slide to Tomoyo Hirate who tries to enter the ring! Q is holding Ai More back! SAIKO makes the pin!
ONE!!!!!
TWO!!!
THREE!!!
(DING DING DING!)
(“Pa Pa Ya” by Babymetal plays as SAIKO stands up impressed with her work. Rei and Q join their stablemate in the center of the ring as they taunt the faces who help Sora to the back.)
Naomi Serizawa: Your winners by pinfall...KAGUYA-GUN!
Maki Fujioka: Once again the pack-like tactics of Kaguya-Gun has paid off!
Asuka Kuramochi: The others weren’t prepared for their underhanded tactics. Isolation was the story of the evening, particularly by Q who is becoming more of a key member with this stable.
Match 3/JET World Tag Team Championship:
DREAM TAG (AZUMI GOTO & NATSU TOYAMA) VS. WOLFEGANG SYMPHONY (VIVINA WOLFE & BETHANY SHARPE)
After the bell rings, Natsu meets Vivina in the center of the ring. Wolfe scoffs at the daughter of Manami and rolls her eyes. Natsu forces Vivina into a tie-up and the two go back forth in a struggle, with Natsu gaining the upper hand with a single leg takedown. She attempts a Boston Crab, but Wolfe slips out and nails her with a big boot to the face! After several working holds on the ground, Wolfe picks up Natsu and nails several knees to the gut, but a defiant Natsu fights back with forearms to the face. Wolfe overwhelms her and whips her to Wolfegang Symphony’s corner. While Vivina held Natsu by the neck with her foot, Bethany Sharpe tags herself in. She joins in on the action and adds her foot to Nat’s neck. Azumi called out to her partner in support, promoting laughter from the champion team. Bethany took over and started things off with a head wrench, Natsu tried to escape, but Bethany pulls her up and takes her by the arm for a running springboard arm drag.
Maski Fujioka: Wolfegang Symphony is isolating Natsu from Azumi. These are the tactics that helped them maintain their reign for this long.
Asuka Kuramochi: Wolfe and Sharpe have always utilized basic tag team maneuvers as a way of getting over.
Bethany placed Natsu against the ropes, rebounded off the opposite side, and delivered a front dropkick, knocking Natsu out to the outside. With her attention on her partner, Azumi didn’t notice Vivina charging towards her along the apron, connecting with a brutal big boot! Bethany placed Natsu’s arm on the steel steps and delivered a vicious stomp. Natsu let out a yelp as she leaned against the steel steps, holding her arm. Before Azumi could get revenge, Vivina made her way over to her team’s side. Bethany whipped Natsu around into various structures such as the barricade, apron, and stairs before rolling her back into the ring. Bethany slides in and makes the cover, Natsu kicks out at two, still showing she’s still in this match. Bethany dragged Natsu into the corner and tags in Vivina who whips Natsu to the ropes. Toyama slides under Bethany’s spinning roundhouses, rebounds, and knocks both teammates down with a dropkick to both opponents.
Maki Fujioka: Natsu is mounting a comeback! Both opponents are down as Toyama limps her way to Azumi! She makes the tag!
Asuka Kuramochi: Springboard dropkick to two both Wolfegang Symphony! Azumi picks up Vivina and whips her to the ropes...DROPKICK!! Bethany’s already on her feet! Azumi runs to the ropes and springboards! TORNADO DDT! Bethay’s rolling to the outside! Azumi DEADLIFTS Vivina off the mat! Bridging Dragon Suplex!
ONE!
TWO!
Vivina kicks out in time. The veteran joshi wastes no time applying a crossface submission. Wolfe tries to fight out of the hold, but Azumi keeps it locked tight. Vivina reaches out for the ropes but is pulled back each time. Goto has Wolfe dead to rights in the center of the ring. Just as the ref asks if she gives up, Bethany Sharpe slides back into the ring and breaks the hold. Sharpe starts wailing on Azumi who fights back as best as she can. Vivina joins in, holding Azumi’s arms behind her back. Bethany can capitalize, Natsu lands on top of her with a diving crossbody! Vivina kicks Azumi in the gut and hits a scoop brainbuster! She covers Goto, who kicks out at two. After wearing her down, Vivina places Azumi on the second rope, bounces off the ropes, and hits a tiger feint kick between the ropes. The ref separated Bethany and Natsu who was ordered to go back to their respective corners. Vivina whips Azumi to the corner and tags in Bethany to set up Encore! (Running one-handed bulldog by Sharpe onto Wolfe's knee then a double knee drop by Sharpe).
Maki Fujioka: Azumi started out of the gate strong, but now she’s struggling!
Asuka Kuramochi: Sharpe and Wolfe keeping each other as strong as possible with these tags. Azumi’s going to find herself in the same danger Natsu did.
Bethany lands a belly-to-back suplex and stomps on Azumi a few times before pulling her towards the nearest corner. Sharpe sets up for Diminuendo (Elevated DDT), but Azumi flips out of the hold and lands behind Bethany, countering with Radiant Shoot (corner Shiranui)! Before Vivina could get into the ring, Goto knocked her off the apron with a surprise superkick! Azumi whips Bethany to the corner and tags in Natsu and the two whip, Bethany, to the ropes and hit a double dropkick upon the rebound! Natsu goes for a pin, but Bethany kicks out of two! Natsu goes for Cat's Cradle (Rolling Leg-Hook Cradle), forcing Vivina to slide in an attempt to break the submission. Azumi meets her but gets caught by a Thesz Press, followed by a hailstorm of punches. Vivina breaks the submission and both girls pick up Natsu for Shattered Note no. 2 (Big Boot from Wolfe/Leg Sweep by Sharpe)! Bethany makes the cover while Vivina throws Azumi out of the ring.

Maki Fujioka: Natsu kicks out! Somehow the youngest member of Dream TAG has the will to fight on!
Asuka Kuramochi: Natsu has taken the brunt of Wolfegang Symphony’s tandem offense! Azumi’s not available to be tagged in at the moment! Natsu will have to think of a way to get out of this, it’ll have to take everything!
Bethany calls on Vivina to set up Massacre in B Major (Electric Chair Facebuster (Wolfe) & Diving Cutter (Sharpe)), but as soon as Bethany gets to the top, Natsu fights her way off and counters with Tokyo Sunset (Leg trap sunset flip powerbomb). Bethany dives at Natsu with a missile dropkick, but Natsu moves out of the way in time and bounces off the ropes for a Last Surprise (Sling Blade)! Natsu calls upon Azumi who climbed to her team’s corner and tagged her in. The two give Vivina a double superkick and toss her out of the ring. Natsu picks up Bethany and delivers the Final Answer (Double Hammerlock German Suplex). Azumi climbs to the top and leaps off for Path of Heaven (Top Rope Moonsault Press)!

Maki Fujioka: What a finish! After months of a dominant reign, Wolfegang Symphony has been dethroned!
Asuka Kuramochi: Natsu’s quest for tag team glory is now complete! And to think it’s with the woman she looks up to!
The final shot before the commercial is Dream TAG holding their tag team championship high in the air with a smile on their faces.
Clips of the JET National Championship Tournament are shown in a video package, Hanako Nakamoto first announcing that this year’s Biggest Dreamer Tournament winner was going to be crowned as the JET National Champion. Every single match in the tournament being a hard-hitting affair, highlights soon focus on the two remaining finalists and their run to the finals. The final shot of the video package is of Rio Kurokawa and Masumi Tsutsumi eyeing one another in the ring before Hanako Nakamoto reveals the brand new JET National Championship to them and the Korakuen Hall audience.
Soon the lights dim at the sound of “She Rules The Battlefield” by Yuki Kajiura. Masumi in a blue oni mask and garb comes out with her pink oni dressed manager Narumi. Masumi takes a knee at the top of the ramp to pay respects, as Narumi dances around her in circles throwing salt and confetti. They then head to the ring, Narumi requests the second rope be pulled down for them as they enter the ring and take off their masks.
Maki Fujioka: To describe Masumi Tsutsumi’s impressive run since her debut? Impressive, she signed her contract on New Year’s day and since then has been immensely impressive, she has to be defeated and her striking prowess is second to none. Tsutsumi went through Talia Areano, Julia Zhang and Amy Slayton to reach the finals, now has one more opponent in front of her before she can capture her first championship in wrestling.
As Masumi and Narumi are directed to the blue corner, “She rules the battlefield” is soon replaced “Demon’s Cradle” by Sadie as there seems to be a mixed reaction for Rio Kurokawa who is focused and driven. Kurokawa wearing a red and black attire entrance gown while making her way down to the ring. She soon enters the ring and her gaze is on her opponent for the entire time while Hana Oikawa tells her to head to her corner.
Asuka Kuramochi: If Masumi is impressive, then Rio Kurokawa has been nothing short of that as well. She has been that since day 1 of her time in JET, the former JET Tag Team Champion has really come into her own since her tag team with Tomoyo Hirate split up. Kurokawa has had just a tough run to the finals as she took former tag partner Hirate, the powerhouse Machiko Hasegawa and KAGUYA-Gun’s deadly weapon Saiko.
Soon JET President Hanako Nakamoto enters the ring with the JET National Championship in her hand, before the introductions we get a memorabilia photo with Hanako in the middle of both competitors and the championship in her hand. Hanako soon passes the new championship belt to Referee Hana Oikawa who raises it in air. JET Ring Announcer Naomi Serizawa enters the ring with a mic in her hand.
Naomi Serizawa: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A THIRTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT AND IT IS FOR THE JET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!
INTRODUCING FIRST TO MY RIGHT, FROM SHINJUKU, JAPAN! SHE IS THE ONI OF SHINJUKU! THIS IS TSUTSUMI MASUMI!
Masumi goes to the middle of the ring and bows as the crowd in attendance throws blue streamers for her. She soon returns to her corner where Narumi helps her with getting her entrance attire off.
Naomi Serizawa: AND HER OPPONENT TO MY LEFT, FROM OSAKA, JAPAN! “NEON BLACK” KUROKAWA RIOOOOOO!!!!
Rio Kurokawa raises her hand in the air as she takes off her entrance gown while the crowd throws red and black streamers in the ring. After the young girls around the ring clear the ring of all streamers, Hana Oikawa signals for the opening bell to be rung!
SINGLES MATCH/JET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
RIO KUROKAWA vs. MASUMI TSUTSUMI
And the second title match of tonight’s show is underway as both women aren’t moving a muscle. The Budokan crowd is chanting for both women as soon it’s Masumi who walks to the center of the ring first inviting Rio Kurokawa to lock up with her. She soon joins her opponent in the center as they both lock up in the center of the ring. Traditional collar-and-elbow tie-up as neither competitor is willing to give the other the first mental win of the match. Both are still staying in the middle of the ring with neither budging an inch, they both break the tie-up and almost as an invite to her opponent to make a move, Rio tells her opponent to hit her! Masumi gladly does so with a stiff forearm that has Rio rock up back. There is a smirk on the face of Tsutsumi that is wiped away with Rio returning the favor with her own forearm. It seems that traditional lockups won’t be showcased in this match as both Tsutsumi and Kurokawa continue to strike the other with forearms. Rio is the first to change her gameplan as she runs the rope and nails a running forearm this time. Tsutsumi isn’t fazed immensely but she is forced back a bit, Masumi fires back with her own running forearm and now it seems that Kurokawa isn’t fazed as much.
Masumi soon changes her gameplan and fires a kick to the chest of Rio Kurokawa as that definitely seems to have affected her. Kurokawa soon with a combination of forearms and other strikes seem to have been enough to make a dent in Tsutsumi’s “armor” as she is sent to the outside with the force one more stiff forearm. Narumi soon runs over and checks on her twin as Rio Kurokawa leaves the ring and is on the apron. Masumi soon gets up to her feet as Kurokawa runs at her with a running Penalty Kick to the chest of Tsutsumi. Rio Kurokawa continues her attack as she quickly grabs Masumi and Irish-whips her into the steel barricade. Narumi checks on her twin as Rio’s gaze soon turns to Narumi as a way to tell her to get away from Masumi. Rio soon rushes her opponent and nails a huge Corner Dropkick! Kurokawa now checks on the ref’s count which has reached 12, she soon gets Masumi back into the ring and goes for the cover.
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEE!!! TWOOOOO!!
Masumi kicks out as Narumi has a concerned look on her face, Kurokawa sensing that her opponent is weakened looks to end it as she picks up Masumi from behind and tries to hook in a full-nelson for the Ketsueki Toll but Tsutsumi is able to fight out of the Dragon Suplex attempt. She soon nails her opponent with a back elbow. Both women are face to face as Tsutsumi with a palm strike that sends Rio Kurokawa back, Masumi continues to swing as she goes for a Roundhouse Kick but Kurokawa slips behind and nails a backstabber! Masumi’s face looks like she is in deep pain as Rio goes for another cover!
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOO!!!! THREE---
Another kick out from Masumi as there is a small chant of her name breaking out from the fans thanks to her twin getting everyone to side with Masumi who is slowly getting back to her feet. Rio now with a kick to the chest of Masumi who has a look of pain on her face but she yells for another kick, Rio gladly fires another kick to the chest and again Masumi still wants more. She is able to get back onto her feet as Rio now switches up and nails a forearm that sends Masumi reeling back. The Oni of Shinjuku soon replies with a stiff forearm of her own, both women with stiff strikes and letting neither get the upper hand. Soon Masumi ducks a wild swing from Rio and dodges another before nailing her opponent with a MASTER SWORD! She nails Kurokawa with a stiff rolling elbow and goes for the cover!
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEEE!! TWOOOOOOOO!!! THREEEEEEE!!
Kurokawa kicks out as Tsutsumi takes a while to make her next move, her left hand is on her back as it seems to be in some pain. She soon gets Rio up to a seat position, nailing her opponent with the kick to the back. The sound of which can be heard all over Budokan, another kick from Tsutsumi as again the sound of kick pad nailing Rio’s can be heard. Tsutsumi soon rushes the ropes and comes charging back for a Penalty Kick but Rio is able to grab Masumi’s leg. She slowly gets herself back up while still holding onto her opponent’s right leg. Masumi is finally able to break free as she uses her caught leg to push her opponent off her. Rio is now nailed by a gamengiri that sends her reeling back into the rope, a dazed Kurokawa now makes her back to Masumi as she attempts to go for a forearm but instead is met with a Spinning Heel Kick! Rio falls down to her knees and she is hit with another Spinning Heel Kick from Masumi as she collapses on top of Rio
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOOOO!! THREE---
Kurokawa kicks out as the battle of strikes is finally taking its toll on both of them! Hana Oikawa begins her count for a double knockout as the two don’t move till the count of six. Both of them are up on their knees at the count of seven as they throw forearm strikes at one another again. Exhaustion seems to have kicked in as the strikes from both women look sluggish but it seems that both of them have gotten a burst of energy as they yell at one another to hit harder. Soon Rio is nailed with a headbutt from Masumi that has the Tiny Dragon collapse onto all fours, this gives Masumi the opportunity she needs as she rushes the ropes and back for the Sunset Densetsu… RIO IS ABLE TO MOVE AWAY JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME! Kurokawa now with all of her strength has Masumi trapped in a waistlock, deadlift German suplex by Kurokawa with a bridge!
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOOO!! THREEE----
Masumi kicks out as Rio Kurokawa is looking to end it, she soon picks up her opponent and locks in a full-nelson! Narumi yells from the outside for her twin sister and that seems to help as Masumi is able to break free from the Ketsueki Toll attempt. The Oni of Shinjuku fires a back elbow as both women now spin looking for a rolling elbow, Rio Kurokawa was quicker to pull the trigger as she nails Masumi with a rolling elbow that has her down. This gives Rio the chance as she needs as she hooks the arm and nails her opponent with the Ketsueki Toll Dragon Suplex! She holds the bridge!
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOOO!!! THREEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!!!)
“Demon’s Cradle” by Sadie plays as Rio lets go of the bridge and just lays there, overcome with emotions. She is soon helped up to her feet by Hana Oikawa who raises her hand.
Naomi Serizawa: YOUR WINNER AND THE FIRST EVER JET NATIONAL CHAMPION! KUROKAWAAAAAA RIOOOOOOOO!!!
Maki Fujioka: What a way to introduce a new championship! I couldn’t think of any better way than this match, both women showcased an insane amount of resilience. Some of the stiffest strikes I’ve both seen and heard in my life were during this match, in the end Kurokawa was able to pull the trigger quicker on that rolling elbow than Masumi was on her own rolling elbow. Regardless of that, we have our first ever JET National Champion!
Hanako Nakamoto enters the ring again as she presents the championship belt to Rio Kurokawa who after shaking Hanako’s hand begins to clutch her new championship close. Meanwhile Masumi is being helped to the back with the help of Narumi and one of the JET Young Girls. She looks back and sees Rio who is celebrating her win.
Asuka Kuramochi: Masumi Tsutsumi has nothing to be ashamed of, she matched and at certain moments outperformed her opponent in this bout. She has exceeded expectations for someone who just signed with JET three months ago, without a question Masumi Tsutsumi will be back for another shot at a championship.
The final shot before commercial is Rio raising her title high while standing on the middle turnbuckle.
(Commercial break for JET Season 3!)
Match 5/Tarah Nova Farewell Match:
JUNKO vs. Tarah Nova
The match started out with both competitors attempting to get a feel for one another in the center of the ring. Tarah attempts to lock-up, but JUNKO keeps her distance, preferring to toy with the veteran As Tarah closes in, JUNKO slides out of the ring and starts parading around. An annoyed Tarah waits until JUNKO enters the ring. The Shock Collar invites her for another lock-up attempt. JUNKO accepts, but moves behind Tarah at the last second and dropkicks her against the ropes. Tarah bounces back into a swinging neckbreaker. JUNKO applies a grounded shoulder lock to weaken Tarah while keeping her in place. Tarah attempts to readjust her position, forcing JUNKO to counter with an Irish whip to the corner. She follows up with a dropkick to the face, making her drop down in a seated position. JUNKO stomped around the ring, antagonizing the fans before delivering Darkness Smash (Sliding elbow strike to a seated opponent). JUNKO drags her from the corner to climb to the top, but Tarah instinctively jumped to her feet and attacked JUNKO with several strikes to the face. Before JUNKO could react, she’s knocked out to ringside by a swift enzuigiri!
Maki Fujioka: Tarah’s climbing to the top and is looking to take off! JUNKO is struggling to get to her feet...DOWNWARD SPIRAL! DIVING ELBOW FIND ITS MARK!
Asuka Kuramochi: Tarah is already up after using JUNKO as a cushion! Tarah’s pulling JUNKO to her feet...AND WHIPS HER INTO THE RING POST!
Satisfied with the damage she’s down, Tarah takes her time stalking her opponent, stomping at her each time she tries to get to her feet. When JUNKO gets up a fourth time, Nova sends her crashing into the barricade. She attempts to follow up with stomps to the face, but a defiant JUNKO grabs the foot and counters with a Dark Edge (Reverse STO) into the barricade. Furious at the pain she’s received, JUNKO lifts Tarah and slams her neck onto the barricade. Not giving her any time to recover, JUNKO rolls her back into the ring and follows with a pin. Tarah kicks out, but is exploding her own vulnerability with the damage JUNKO has done. The Child of Despair took advantage of this by weakening Tarah’s neck with elbows to the back and shoulders. She continued to maintain control of the match through several intense working holds. She whips Tarah into the corner again and unleashes a hellstorm of stomps until she’s grounded. JUNKO follows this up with Shadow Dance (Running double knee smash into an opponent seated in a corner), and then a gorgeous Dark Star Press (Standing corkscrew somersault transitioned into a senton splash) to keep Tarah grounded for a pin!

Maki Fujioka: Tarah kicks out again!
Asuka Kuramochi: JUNKO looks incredibly frustrated, but even she should know that it’ll take more than a few hits to keep a legend like Tarah Nova down!
JUNKO goes back to taking her time working on Tarah. The Shock Collar does what she can to protect herself, but her opponent gets the better of her. However, Nova counters an Irish whip with one of her own, sending JUNKO into the corner. Tarah charges, but JUNKO slips out to the apron and counters with a pendulum kick. Tarah is knocked back and JUNKO takes advantage with a missile dropkick from the top! She goes for a Shadow Flash (Superkick to a kneeling opponent) but Tarah counters with a drop toehold into an Anaconda Vise! JUNKO struggled to break free, but Tarah tightened her hold to ensure that her opponent wouldn’t escape. JUNKO attempts to roll out of the move, but Tarah keeps the grip intact. The ref checks on JUNKO to see if she taps, but she refuses to give up. She makes another attempt for an escape, but Tarah stays with her and the two end up close to the ropes. JUNKO slips out from under the ropes, forcing Tarah to let go. Nova refuses to give up her pursuit and hits a Detroit Smash (Springboard Forearm Smash) to the outside!
Maki Fujioka: Tarah is on her like a pitbull! She refuses to let up!
Asuka Kuramochi: She rolls JUNKO back into the ring and climbs to the apron. Springboard senton bomb! Springboard moonsault! She makes the pin!

JUNKO kicks out. Tarah takes a moment to gather her stamina before pulling JUNKO up to her knees. She started firing several shots to the chest, but misses the roundhouse! JUNKO counters with a roll-up, but Tarah kicks out. The two are exhausted, but they don’t hold back trading shots with one another. JUNKO seems to be getting the upper hand and ends the sequence with a kick to the gut, followed by a DDT. She attempts to mount Tarah, but The Shock Collar counters by pulling Junko into roll, followed by a Killjoy Buzzer (Bitch Slap) and an inverted headlock backbreaker! She pulls JUNKO up and whips her to the corner where JUNKO crashes and falls between the ropes. Tarah goes for a Dash of Novacaine (Steel Post-assisted Tiger Feint Kick), but JUNKO catches her legs and pulls her from the ropes into a Cradle sitout jawbreaker! JUNKO falls over a dazed Tarah Nova for the tree count.

Maki Fujioka: Tarah kicks out! She still wants to fight!
Asuka Kuramochi: JUNKO isn’t relenting! She’s tangling Tarah into the ropes and is now unleashing strikes and kicks to the face and chest!
Tarah tries to withstand the onslaught of attacks from JUNKO, but can do nothing to protect herself. But when JUNKO pulls Tarah from the ropes, Nova counters with another Killjoy Buzzer followed by a Crazed Daze (Superkick). Somehow JUNKO is still on her feet, stunned! Tarah whips JUNKO to the corner and hits Hypernova (Shining wizard to a cornered opponent)! Feeling the momentum, Tarah pulls JUNKO to the mat and climbs to the top to deliver Soaring Suicide X (Phoenix Splash). Tarah flies off the top but crashes and burns when JUNKO moves out the way in time. The KAGUYA-Gun member leans between the ropes to gather herself while Tarah rolls along the mat in pain. When she gets to her feet, JUNKO pushes tarah into the ref, who falls against the ropes. JUNKO pulls out a flask from her outfit and takes a swig before spitting rose wine in Nova’s face. Tossing it aside just as the ref could see, JUNKO hits another Shadow Flash, followed by Dark Impulse (Fireman's carry lifted into a sitout side powerslam)! Wasting no time, JUNKO makes the pin just as the ref comes to!
OOOONEEEE!
TWWWWWOOOO!!
THREEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
“Spitfire” by Prodigy plays as there is a loud negative for JUNKO who leaves the ring immediately after her victory, she lets the fans hear it and tells them how she feels about them.
Naomi Serizawa: Your winner by pinfall...JUNKO!
Asuka Kuramochi: What! She was robbed! Tarah was robbed of that victory!
Maki Fujioka: Tarah Nova almost had it, but a crucial misstep allowed JUNKO to take advantage!
Asuka Kuramochi: But she cheated her way to victory. It was a dirty move!
Maki Fujioka: Be that as it may...it looks like Tarah seems almost amused by JUNKO’s surprise attack!
Meanwhile Tarah is looking up at the lights and being helped out by the young girls. She is able to get up to her feet. “Spitfire” died down at this point, Tarah looks around Budokan and gets a loud positive reaction from the fans, a small thank you chant breaks out as Tarah bows.
Maki Fujioka: One of her last matches in Japan might have ended in a loss but Tarah will be remembered forever by the JET fans for what she has done in her handful appearances.
Tarah is helped out of the ring as she is soon met by Azumi Goto and Hanako Nakamoto who hand her bouquets of flowers and thank her for this last match. The final shot before the commercial is that of Tarah getting her hand raised by Hanako Nakamoto.
(Commercial: Joshi Extreme Takeover in Dojo shows?! DOJO PARTY COMING SOON!)
Cinderella Story returns from commercial as soon “Rainy Days” begins to play as there is a good decent pop for the entrance of Stephanie Matsuda who makes her way out from the back. Her first Cinderella Story match since the 2015 event, she seems to look around at the crowd in attendance. Stephanie is wearing her signature attire with a bandana and baseball cap as she makes her way down to the ring.
Naomi Serizawa: Ladies and Gentlemen! THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A 30-MINUTE TIME LIMIT! Introducing first… from Brooklyn, New York! SHE IS THE WAR QUEEN! STEPHANIE “CLOUD” MATSUDA!
Asuka Kuramochi: It can’t be stated how much it means for so many JET fans to have Stephanie Matsuda here at Cinderella Story. There was a point years after Stephanie left for EAW that we believed she would never be back but here she is in the flesh, competing at her first Cinderella Story show in over 5 years. Now her first match back at this event is against a woman who made sure the lives of anyone in JET are a living hell.
Before she enters the ring, Stephanie looks at the front row where her and KAGUYA’s mentor Miss Manami is watching the show. She soon enters the ring as she tosses her cap to the fans and takes off her entrance attire, the music changes to AC/DC’s classic “Dirty Deeds Done Cheap”. The mood immediately turns sour as KAGUYA makes her way out and to the ring. She isn’t alone as she is accompanied by Rei Kagura and Julia Zhang. KAGUYA seems to be focused as she is wearing her big match white attire and long white entrance gown. KAGUYA also has a KAGUYA-Gun flag with her as she seems to be unimpressed at Stephanie’s presence.
Naomi Serizawa: AND HER OPPONENT! FROM OSAKA, JAPAN…REPRESENTING KAGUYA-GUN, SHE IS THE BLACK HEART OF JET… KAGUUUUUYAAAAA!!!
Maki Fujioka: I don’t know anyone who is more hated than this woman right now in JET, ever since forming KAGUYA-Gun in 2018, she has been despised by the JET fanbase even more than she was beforehand. KAGUYA has made it known that she despises Stephanie Matsuda, Azumi Goto, Miss Manami and anyone linked to them. She is talented as a ring talent but this woman is willing to use tactics that make her hated.
Asuka Kuramochi: Speaking of dirty tactics, she has Julia Zhang and Rei Kagura out with her. I feel horrible for Hana Oikawa who has to deal with both Stephanie and KAGUYA who both can have insane tempers but two KAGUYA-Gun goons as well at ringside.
KAGUYA enters the ring as she gets in the face of Stephanie without any care in the world. There is a perfect shit-eating grin on her face as Hana Oikawa tries her best to pull her back but she only does so after she is fully able to taunt Stephanie. KAGUYA takes off her entrance attire as Hana Oikawa signals for the match to start.
Special Singles Match:
KAGUYA vs. Stephanie Matsuda
The match and immediately it seems both of them are going at it! KAGUYA and Stephanie charging at one another, no technical grappling at all in the early stages as KAGUYA and Stephanie are throwing forearms at one another with care for the other’s safety. KAGUYA is unfortunately the one who is sent out of the ring as she needs a break from Stephanie, just a few minutes into the match. KAGUYA is circling the ring as it seems she isn’t happy that Manami is in the ring and gets in the face of the same woman who trained her. KAGUYA’s attention turns back to the ring as she doesn’t Stephanie had rushed the ropes and nails KAGUYA with a suicide dive, The Black Heart goes back first into the barricade as Stephanie hypes the crowd up before reentering the ring and preparing to launch herself with another suicide dive. As she runs the rope, Rei Kagura interferes for the first time in the match as she attempts to trip Cloud. This gives time for KAGUYA to recover and get a hold of herself, Cloud not knowing that rushes the ropes but KAGUYA is able to quickly get on the apron and stop from completing the dive with a kick.
Stephanie now dazed is in between the ropes, KAGUYA takes this chance to have the ref be distracted by Rei Kagura and Julia Zhang. While her goons do that, KAGUYA grabs a chair from under the ring and uses it, driving the edge of it into the back of Stephanie’s neck. KAGUYA soon drops the chair as Hana Oikawa’s attention goes back to the hurt Stephanie and KAGUYA. The Black heart soon pulls out her hurt opponent, the two of them standing on the apron. KAGUYA soon gets Stephanie in position to piledrive her but Stephanie is fighting and slips out of the position. She turns herself around only to be met with a boot to the back of the head! KAGUYA now with a full nelson…SICK DRAGON SUPLEX AS STEPHANIE’S NECK COLLIDES WITH APRON! KAGUYA now reenters the ring as Hana Oikawa begins her count. The count begins as Stephanie is holding the back of her neck in pain, the crowd in Budokan is cheering her on. KAGUYA seems to be enjoying herself as she yells at Steph from inside of the ring to get back in and get the beating she deserves. Stephanie is able to get back into the ring by the count of twelve and as she rolls back in, KAGUYA goes for the cover.
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEE!!! TWOOO----
Stephanie kicks out as KAGUYA seems to be annoyed, she soon takes this time to taunt Miss Manami with the perfect smug grin on her face.
KAGUYA (w/o mic): This is your successor, Manami?! This half-breed?! What a joke!
KAGUYA turns around and eats a forearm from Cloud who is back up to her feet but The Black Heart replies by bending Cloud over and driving her elbow to the back of her neck, the weak spot that Cloud was holding in pain earlier. Another elbow to the back of the neck as KAGUYA now with a waistlock as she tries to hit a German Suplex but Stephanie is able to hit a back elbow that forces KAGUYA back. Again now KAGUYA with an elbow to the neck that has Cloud down to her knees. KAGUYA again picks up the War Queen by the waistlock and nails a German suplex but instead of bridging for the cover, she rolls Stephanie over for another German suplex. KAGUYA now has the bridge for the second German.
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEE!! TWOOOO!! THREEE…
Again Stephanie kicks out as KAGUYA now is getting a bit annoyed, Hana Oikawa is pulling KAGUYA back as she wants to check with Stephanie if she can continue. Once more in this match, Stephanie has her hand on the back of her neck. The commentators point out that she might be legitimately hurt but soon to a roar from the crowd, Stephanie is back up to her feet. KAGUYA wanting to get into Stephanie’s head, soon nails her with a smack to the back of the head while taunting her.
KAGUYA: Hey Half-Breed… I hope your wife has another lover lined up because she’s gonna be a widow after tonight!
That seems to have ticked off Stephanie as she rises up to her feet, her face absolutely showing her mood. She seems absolutely furious, and soon KAGUYA’s expression goes from one of arrogance to one of concern. Stephanie now with forearms and chops, she strikes are forcing KAGUYA back into the corner. The War Queen continues to attack KAGUYA as Hana Oikawa has to pull her away soon and get her away from KAGUYA who is trying her hardest to block the strikes. Stephanie, once pulled away from her foe, immediately charges back in but a low dropkick from KAGUYA sends Matsuda face first into the turnbuckle. KAGUYA now sees her chance to go back on the offensive as she rushes to the opposite corner and back, going for a hesitation dropkick but Stephanie is able to dodge just in time. Stephanie now with a waistlock as she soon German Suplexes KAGUYA into the corner, the back of KAGUYA’s head collides with the middle turnbuckle.
Stephanie now begins to unload on the seated KAGUYA with forearms, a relentless barrage of strikes that would make it seem like she is trying to legitimately hurt KAGUYA. A dozen forearms have been thrown at this as again Hana Oikawa has to intervene and tell Stephanie to back away. KAGUYA soon brought up to her feet and turned around before getting hit with a release German Suplex by Stephanie! KAGUYA is on her knees as she is now met with a brutal Blue Trigger from Stephanie who goes for the cover.
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEE!! TWOOOOOO!!!
KAGUYA kicks out as it’s Stephanie’s turn to throw some words at her foe. She soon brings KAGUYA back up to her feet, looking to apply the hold for a Blasian Suplex. The Sleeper Hold is in but KAGUYA grabs Hana Oikawa by her referee shirt to have Stephanie let go of the hold, Stephanie lets go of the hold as KAGUYA shoves Hana into Rei Kagura who is on the apron. Another distraction by one of KAGUYA’s stablemates with Rei making sure that the referee’s attention is on her. This allows Zhang to slide in a chair for her leader to use. KAGUYA again uses the edge of the chair, driving into the side of Stephanie’s face before going for a proper chair shot to the head. The referee is completely unaware as KAGUYA goes into the cover, Rei gets off the apron as Hana Oikawa turns around to see KAGUYA hooking both legs.
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOO!!! THREE----
Stephanie kicks out as KAGUYA seems to be a little ticked off. The War Queen is now on all fours only to be met with a kick to the gut by KAGUYA, Cloud soon uses the turnbuckle as a way to get back up to her feet. Once her opponent is up, KAGUYA nails Stephanie with a thrust kick to the jaw, that seems to have stunned Stephanie. Another thrust kick from KAGUYA to the jaw of Stephanie, a third thrust kick as Hana Oikawa has to pull KAGUYA away from Stephanie who is now seated. Similar to how Stephanie attacked her before, KAGUYA picks up Stephanie and nails The War Queen with a bridging German Suplex!
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEE!!! TWOOOO!!
One more kick out from Stephanie has KAGUYA’s frustration continue to boil, she yells at Stephanie to quit. The Black Heart of JET now seated cross legged now in front of the downed Stephanie is slowly getting onto all fours and is now on her knees. The two former students of Miss Manami look at one another as there is a slap-like palm strike thrown at Stephanie by KAGUYA, the War Queen soon replies for her own stiff slap. The two women are throwing bombs at one another as it results in both of them getting back to their feet! KAGUYA soon shifts to kicks to the chest of Matsuda who now replies with brutal chops! Both women letting their strikes do the talking as neither wants the other to win this match. Stephanie now with a repeated barrage of chops that stuns KAGUYA until she nails Stephanie with a gamengiri but Stephanie absorbs the blow and replies a step back Yahtzee Superkick! KAGUYA is down as Stephanie is still on her feet with all the punishment, she signals the end with a cutthroat taunt! The War Queen gets KAGUYA and applies a sleeper hold…. BLASIAN SUPLEX BY STEPHANIE! Cover by the War Queen!
Hana Oikawa: ONEEEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOOOOO!!! THREEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!!)
“Rainy Days” plays one more time as the crowd explodes in cheers, an exhausted Stephanie is helped up to her feet by Hana Oikawa and has her arm raised.
Naomi Serizawa: YOUR WINNER… THE WAR QUEEN STEPHANIE MATSUDA!!!
Maki Fujioka: Stephanie did it! She overcame the dirty tactics of KAGUYA and her goons, a nagging neck pain along with so much more to beat KAGUYA.
Asuka Kuramochi: Both women truly showed their hatred for one another in the ring, KAGUYA and Stephanie used everything they could to hurt one another but Stephanie overcame everything to win in her first JET singles match in over five years.
Stephanie soon leaves the ring as the rest of KAGUYA-Gun make their way down to the ring to check on their leader. While SAIKO and Q are quick to the ring, JUNKO is walking normally with a look of disdain towards Stephanie. KAGUYA is soon checked up on by her stablemate as she gets on her knees. Her stablemate around her, JUNKO seems furious.
JUNKO (w/o mic): You lost?! You lost to her with Rei and Julia helping you! Are you serious, KAGUYA?!
JUNKO seems frustrated as she turns her back to her leader while still in the ring.
KAGUYA (w/o mic): I’m sorry, everyone…
JUNKO turns her head AND NAILS KAGUYA WITH A SHADOW FLASH KICK! The crowd is shocked and the same with our commentators! Somehow they even boo with even more hate as the rest of KAGUYA-Gun looks at JUNKO as it seems she isn’t sorry about what she has done.
JUNKO (w/o mic): She’s grown weak! She isn’t fit to be leading the stable, hell… she isn’t even fit to be in the stable! We all can be so much more without KAGUYA… trust me!
The rest of KAGUYA-Gun members move out of the way of JUNKO and let beat KAGUYA who seems fully out of it. They make sure that none of the JET officials, roster or anyone can come in to save KAGUYA. JUNKO begins to stomp away at her former leader as she soon picks up KAGUYA onto her shoulders… A DARK IMPULSE ONTO THE ALREADY HURT NECK OF KAGUYA!! JUNKO and now the former members of KAGUYA-Gun now stand over their former leader. Once security has made their way to the ring, they are being escorted but before she goes JUNKO grabs the flag of her former faction with her. She soon is able to rip the cloth flag easily and yells at the camera.
JUNKO: KAGUYA-Gun is no more… All of us are something more dangerous to come for JET! No more are we someone else’s army!
KAGUYA meanwhile in the ring as she is being helped by officials, the commentators have said nothing about the attack as we cut to commercial and the final shot is KAGUYA in intense pain, her hands on the shoulders of the young girls who take her to the back.
(Commercial break)
We return to ringside as it’s time for the next contest of the evening, soon “Sarada-Fighting Spirit” by Yasaharu Takanashi plays as there are cheers from the crowd. The challenger for tonight’s Semi-Main makes her way down as IZM is making her way down to the ring, her attire for the night looking beautiful with a beautiful red, gold and orange long entrance jacket/gown and ring attire to match.
Maki Fujioka: Ladies and gentlemen, we now move from after that brutal attack to our semi-main and the focus on our Academy Championship division. The challenger IZM is the first to make her way down to the ring. If we need to talk about the challenger is the incredible first year she has had in JET, normally for young wrestlers it takes a while to settle into their roles on the roster but IZM went on from the ground running. This year has been her quite a rookie year for IZM and it might get better if she is able to win her first wrestling championship.
Asuka Kuramochi: You’re right, her first year saw her establish an amazing rivalry for the future with Machiko Hasegawa. She won the Miss Manami Tributary Shield Gauntlet at Goddess Dream and had an incredible first RISE Grand Prix. IZM has been impressive, Hanako Nakamoto in a press conference described IZM as a perfect blend of father’s wrestling style and JET’s Queen’s Road style.
IZM takes a minute on the apron before entering the ring and being escorted to her corner by referee Yuri Watanabe. Soon the music changes to “Rising Hope” by LiSA as there is a loud reception for the Academy Champion. Momoko Honda makes her way down to the ring with the Academy Championship around her waist.
Maki Fujioka: At last year’s Cinderella Story, Momoko Honda had a star making performance in a loss against JET Chairwoman Azumi Goto. After that match, Azumi declared Momoko as the future of the wrestling industry and so far, that has come true for this calendar year. She won the JET Academy Championship at Goddess Dream, after two defenses under her belt, she has not looked back since then.
Asuka: Yeah, Momo-chan has made herself into one of JET’s biggest stars for the future. Interesting thing to note is Momoko’s attire, a complete opposite of IZM’s color scheme. Instead of red and gold, it’s blue and silver. It truly feels like these two are rivals for the future.
Momoko enters the ring as she soon hands over the championship belt to Yuri Watanabe, once she is directed to her corner. Neither champion and challenger seem to have personal spite towards one another. Naomi Serizawa soon enters the ring to do the introductions.
Naomi Serizawa: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is for the JET ACADEMY CHAMPION SET FOR ONE FALL WITH A 30-MINUTE TIME LIMIT! Introducing first… FROM TOKYO, JAPAN, SHE IS THE CHALLENGER AND THE ERUPTING SPIRIT! IIIIIZZZUMIIIIII!!!!!
IZM raises her fist in the air as red streamers are thrown in the ring for her, Naomi Serizawa soon continues with the introductions.
Naomi Serizawa: And her opponent!! From Kyoto, Japan… SHE IS THE JET ACADEMY CHAMPION AND ACADEMY CHAMPION! HONDAAAAA MOMOOOKOOO!!!
Momoko Honda makes her way to the center of the ring to pose as the crowd throws blue streamers into the ring. After clean up by the young girls at ringside, Yuri Watanabe signals for the opening bell to be rung!
Semi-Main/JET Academy Championship Match:
IZM vs. Momoko Honda (c/v2)
The match begins as both competitors make it to the center of the ring, a handshake from the two young stars. There is some tension as the two of the back away and circle the ring for a bit before locking up. Even with IZM’s power advantage, Momoko isn’t making it easy and is able to push IZM slightly back but in the end the Erupting Spirit is able to push her opponent to the rope. Without any problems, she lets go and backs off, the commentators point out that Momoko needs to find a way around IZM’s strength advantage. The Academy champion needs to take a bit of a breather as she hangs back a bit before returning back to the center of the ring. Both lock up again as Momoko is able to quickly apply a side headlock but IZM is able to slip out of it and reverse it into a wristlock. A quick counter by the Academy Champion as she countered the wristlock back with her own. She shifted the wristlock to behind, against the back of IZM into a hammerlock and it was tight, Momoko held it and tried to get her opponent in a seated position but IZM stood her ground, being able to reverse the hold she is in with a snapmare, sending Momoko into a seated position. IZM now runs the ropes for a sliding lariat but Momoko is able to get out of the way just in time. Momoko quickly swings with a penalty kick but IZM is able to duck as now both champion and challenger are standing face to face. The crowd in Budokan applaud both women as they both look at one another.
Both circle the ring as they lock up again, Momoko quickly breaks the hold immediately nails a forearm, IZM replies back with her own stiffer forearm, the champion is sent reeling back as she soon switches to kicks to the chest of her challenger. IZM now switches to her signature strike, a knife edge chop to the chest that levels a loud sound echoing in Budokan. The crowd reacts to that as Momoko is sent reeling in pain as she leaves the ring. IZM gaves chase as she leaves the ring and continues to be on the offensive, nailing another chop to Momoko. Again the champion is reeling in pain as IZM grabs her and places her against the steel post. IZM with another chop but Momoko is able to dodge and the Erupting Spirit’s hand collides hard with steel, causing her to hold her hand in pain. Momoko takes advantage as she quickly works over the hand of IZM as the ref count reaches twelve. Momoko slides back into the ring and back out to reset the count, referee Yuri Watanabe seems to have not liked that at all. IZM now starts to strike with her left arm but there is a clear lack of oomph in her strikes now. Momoko with a kick to the right arm as she soon her challenger into the steel barricade with her right arm colliding with the steel first. IZM is on the ground in pain as Momoko picks her up and slides IZM back into the ring and goes for the cover.
Yuri Watanabe: ONEEEE!! TWOOO!!!
Kick out by the challenger as the champion pulls her opponent to the center of the ring and immediately goes to the hurt right arm, applying a fujiwara armbar. IZM struggles a bit in the hold as the pain on her face tells the story but she is able to reach the rope using her leg, forcing a rope break. Momoko breaks the hold but only after the referee’s count reaches four. Momoko is soon given a warning by referee Watanabe as the champion is focused tonight, IZM is holding her arm in pain as she nails her opponent with a forearm. The champion responds with a kick to the hurt arm of IZM, who seems to be clutching it for a bit before going on the offensive again with a left handed chop. The crowd backing her as she is able to absorb every kick to the chest by Momoko. The challenger attempts to go for a vertical suplex but Momoko slips out of the attempt and is able to get a rolling cross armbar in tight. IZM is in a state of panic as she tries to reach for the ropes but she’s too far away from it and trapped in the arm bar. Yuri Watanabe is checking with IZM if she wants to tap or not, the crowd is telling her to not tap as she crawls her way near the ropes and gets her leg on the rope for another break.
This match has been all Momoko as IZM is struggling to get up to her feet, holding her arm in pain again as Momoko heads to her corner. IZM soon gets over to her corner, as Yuri Watanabe checks with IZM if she can keep going and she nods while holding her arm in pain. Momoko soon charges at IZM but she is met with the boot of challenger, it doesn’t Momoko but another boot to the face by the challenger sends Momoko rolling back and down to both knees, IZM now rushes forward with a low drop kick right to the face of the Star Warrior. Now IZM finally in control for the first time in a while as she flips Momoko onto her stomach before picking her up off the ground with a deadlift waistlock and going for a deadlift German but Momoko is able to flip out of the German suplex attempt and land on her feet. Momoko with her own waist lock but a back elbow from IZM is able to push her away. Now both champion and challenger face to face as IZM goes for a lariat but Momoko kicks away the hurt right arm of IZM only to be met with a left handed lariat from IZM! The crowd explodes as IZM goes for the cover!
Yuri Watanabe: ONEEEEE!!! TWOOOOO!!
Kick out from Momoko as IZM thinks about what she needs to do next. IZM soon looks at the camera and signals for the end. She picks up Momoko who seems dazed into an Argentine hold and looks for the Redden Crush but Momoko is able to escape before she gets spun for the powerbomb, standing right in front of her opponent. A few quick slaps from Momoko has IZM stunned, the Academy Champion quickly turns IZM around and goes for The Earth Quaker but IZM is able to escape the cross arm neckbreaker and apply a waistlock! Snap German Suplex from the challenger but Momoko is up to her feet! Momoko quickly rushes back to her feet and hits her own snap German Suplex! IZM is down to her knees as Momoko rushes and nails a Tsunami Strike! Cover by the champion!
Yuri Watanabe: ONEEEEEEEE!!! TWOOOOOOOOO!! THREEEE-----
IZM kicks out as Momoko isn’t too pleased, she soon gets up and tells IZM to get up! The challenger is slow but soon gets to her knees, IZM is soon hit with a kick to the chest by Momoko. The pain is there on her face but it seems she wants more, Momoko responds with another few kicks to the chest but IZM isn’t going down as she yells at Momoko to kick again. This time the champion responds with a roundhouse kick to the head before immediately picking her challenger for a brainbuster but IZM slips out of the hold and nails a stiff chop with the same hurt right arm. It seems that she is in a state of pure adrenaline, her pain doesn’t seem to matter at the moment, another chop sends Momoko. The Erupting Spirit with a barrage of Machine Chops with each of them stinging the champion, one more before pulling away for a bit. IZM now with a lariat to the cornered Momoko before running to the opposite but this time she won’t get the lariat as Momoko bursts out of the corner with a big boot right to the right arm of IZM.
This sends IZM back a bit but she charges The Star Warrior again but Momoko slips behind and nails her with a backdrop suplex. IZM is down on her knees as Momoko nails a barrage of kicks to the side of IZM’s head before nailing another Tsunami! The second one of the match as she goes for the cover on the challenger!
Yuri Watanabe: ONEEEEE!!! TWOOOOOOO! THREE----
IZM kicks out one more time as Momoko signals for the end. She heads to nearby top rope slowly and signals for Happy Landing once she reaches up there. IZM is still down as the crowd is electric and Momoko dives off! A HUGE HAPPY LANDING FROM MOMOKO! She goes for the cover!
Yuri Watanabe: ONEEEEEEEE!! TWOOOOOO!!! THREEEEEEE!!!!
(DING DING DING!)
“Rising Hope” plays again as an exhausted Momoko Honda rolls off IZM, raising an arm into the air. IZM seems spent but the realization of her loss is sinking in. Both women are soon helped up to their feet.
Naomi Serizawa: Your winner and STILL JET ACADEMY CHAMPION! HONDAAAAAA MOMOKOOOO!!!!
Maki Fujioka: This match was to showcase the two stars that people billed as the future of not just JET but Joshi wrestling as a whole and both proved it! This bout has truly cemented these two young ladies as absolute top tier stars in JET.
Asuka Kuramochi: Absolutely correct, Maki-san! Both IZM and Momoko have tools to win tonight but it was Momoko Honda who secured the win and held onto her championship with a successful defense.
Momoko is on her feet as she is handed her belt by Yuri Watanabe. The champ raises it high in the air as IZM is up to her feet with a disappointed look on her face, Momoko soon extends her hand to the challenger who accepts it before leaving the ring on her own. There is a loud IZM chant from the Budokan crowd as she bows to the fans ring ramp.
Maki Fujioka: That young lady had her first singles championship match and gave it everything she had. In her rookie year she has done so well and she can hold her head high with a performance like this.
The final shot before the commercial is of Momoko Honda as she holds the title in the air for all to see.
(Commercial Break)
We return from commercial as the crowd seems still excited about the schedule, the excitement soon turns into a loud pop as a video package starts to play with “BELONG” by Hiroyuki Sawano in the background. The video package focuses on the season both women have had, Midori starting off by winning the Biggest Dreamer Tournament and then the JET World Championship from KAGUYA. Her successful defenses against Mizuki Nakata and Mitra in a triple threat, against Natsu Toyama, JUNKO and Jessica Rose in singles matches. Along with her standout performance at Trifecta and RISE Grand Prix. Meanwhile, the clips of Mizuki show her return to form after a sluggish 2018, though she was unsuccessful at beating Midori at Sakura Blooming, she kept pushing, feuding with KAGUYA-Gun’s SAIKO along with her massive RISE Grand Prix 2019 win. Next is the confrontation after Midori beat Jessica Rose at Collision Course, the hype surrounding the battle between two good friends and both desiring to lead the company as JET World Champion.
We return to ringside as “Rage of Dust” by Spyair begins to play, the challenger Mizuki Nakata is the first to make an entrance. There is a loud reception from the fans as we see Mizuki wearing what is now her trademark attire, black, and gold but with a new addition of an entrance gown over her attire with the same color scheme. She has her RISE GP Briefcase in one hand as she looks at the pack Budokan crowd.
Maki Fujioka: As the video package shown, Mizuki Nakata has had quite an up and down year. From defeating Nina Sanada in her farewell match at last year’s Cinderella Story to being successful at challenging for the JET World Championship at Sakura Blooming last year. She had to deal with KAGUYA-Gun but finally, Mizuki Nakata punched her ticket to a JET World Championship singles match by winning the RISE Grand Prix. There’s a reason why she is The Ace of JET and was selected to be the protector, she is persistent and willing to put her body on the line for this company. This is her second home and nothing means more than JET to her.
Asuka Kuramochi: You’re also forgetting that Mizuki is the first-ever woman to main event three STRAIGHT Cinderella Story shows. No one has been able to do in JET, Nina Sanada has main event three shows herself but those were separated through a gap of time. Neither of the current co-chairwoman Stephanie Matsuda and Azumi Goto have ever main evented a single Cinderella Story event combined. This is Mizuki’s chance to truly cement her place in that upper echelon of JET talent but the task ahead is huge.
Mizuki enters the ring and is directed to her corner by Yuri Watanabe, soon the track changes from “Rage of Dust” to “Ashes” by Lynch. The reception continues to stay positive as the JET World Champion Midori Miyamoto makes her way from the back. Wearing her trademark pink attire with the only thing really changed is the white leather jacket has been swapped for a more typical long white entrance jacket. The JET World Championship, of course, is around her waist.
Maki Fujioka: And of course, Mizuki’s opponent is the one and only Midori Miyamoto who has spent this entire season showcasing that she isn’t one of the best female wrestlers but she should be considered as a candidate for one of the best wrestlers in the world regardless of gender. Today marks day number 315 in her reign and that puts her at the fourth-longest reign, just behind Stephanie Matsuda, Miho Yamazaki, and Nina Sanada. This is truly a special reign considering that this is Midori’s first world championship reign.
Asuka Kuramochi: Yeah this has been a huge season for Midori, she has main evented all but one JET supershow this season. She has had four challengers step up to her in the ring, including Mizuki herself in a triple threat match. This was going to be an instant classic the moment that the staredown at Collision Course and we’re going to witness a match that will determine who will lead JET during this new era.
Midori enters the ring as she glares at Mizuki who also isn’t flinching at all. The JET World Champion is soon directed to her corner by referee Yuri Watanabe. Soon JET President Hanako Nakamoto enters the ring and requests for both champion and challenger to bring their prized possession, a special picture with Hanako and the two main eventers is taken.
