JET Presents RISE Together Tag Tournament Night 1
Location: Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan
Date: February 24th, 2021
Opening recap of the events at Collision Course. Where all of JET’s champs retained including JUNKO, along with that were the events that followed the JET World Title match as Ai Moe was saved Midori before JUNKO could probably injure her. A focus on Nina/Midori’s bout for the RISE Grand Prix Title Match Contract where Midori shocked everyone by knocking out the legend and retaining her briefcase. A shot of Midori staring down everyone in DESPERADOS including JUNKO who had her championship raised in the air. The final focus was on IJWF related matches, both HULK and Diantha Rosso making it far into the 2021 QOTW Tournament but both were defeated by Nausicaa in the semi-finals and finals respectively. The final recap is Natsu Toyama vs. Kayla Winters as Natsu was able to overcome the huge size advantage and secure her first-ever World Championship.
“Full House” plays as the camera gets a shot of the packed Tokyo Dome City Hall, everyone is ready to go including the JET commentators as the camera pans to both Asuka and Mak at the commentator table.
Maki Fujioka: After what was an incredible three nights of action, JET is back on the road with the first of two RISE Together Tour shows. We saw so much go down at Collision Course III, incredible bouts, moments that will live forever in time, and most importantly we now know the main event of Cinderella Story 15!
Asuka Kuramochi: You’re so right! We will hear from both champion and challenger about their fated clash. Along with that, the action is packed and exciting. We’ve got the first four Round one RISE Together Tag matches tonight, think of RISE Together as the final chance to guarantee a match at Cinderella Story. After that, it’s all hope and prayers that you get the match.
Maki Fujioka: That is true. Now we have a special video from Midori Miyamoto for all of us, please take a look.
-----
Midori Miyamoto: There’s no doubt in my mind that Nina Sanada is the greatest wrestler to ever perform in Joshi Extreme Takeover. No other woman has even come close to holding the JET championship as long as she has. Her contributions and efforts are one of the reasons why our company is one of the most prominent promotions in the entire world—
There’s a brief pause following that last word.
Midori Miyamoto: And I just knocked her out in the center of the ring.
The picture finally comes to life at this point. Midori is decked out in Nike training gear as she sits on the apron of an empty wrestling ring.
Midori Miyamoto: It’s one thing to simply defeat a person. Every single professional wrestler who has ever walked the earth has fallen victim to a nasty pinfall. It’s one thing to make someone submit. Anyone could be in the wrong place and get caught with a vicious hold. However, it’s an entirely different thing to get knocked out. The possibility of getting slept is always ruminating in our minds somewhere, but we force it to the back. To actually get rocked in such a manner and fall is a rarity.
A moment passes before she speaks once more.
Midori Miyamoto: I do not wish to harp on the knockout too much. However, I do what you all to appreciate that I have done something that most people have not. Something that most people do not even have the wherewithal to do in the first place. And in many ways, that is the story of my career here in JET.
She gently nods her head.
Midori Miyamoto: I do not believe that anyone thought I would amount to very much when I first walked into JET’s doors. And to be perfectly honest? They had no reason to. I did not have a huge name in professional wrestling. I did not have any clout. There was no real reason for people to believe that I would shock the world. However, I did just that. There was very little light in sight when KAGUYA-Gun reared its ugly head and attempted to sow discord within JET, but I and a small contingent of wrestlers stepped up to combat them. When it appeared as if the JET Trios Championships were going to fall into the hands of evildoers, Ai, Mizuki, and I put a stop to all that. And when it appeared as if Kaguya was going to rule the promotion with an iron grip, I was able to liberate the JET Championship.
Midori nods her head once again.
Midori Miyamoto: I shattered the perceptions that were tossed upon me. Ai, Mizuki, and I became the inaugural holders of the Trios Championships. I captured the JET Championship. And last year I defeated the best that JET had to offer to win the 2020 RISE Grand Prix.
Midori Miyamoto: Month after month I continue to do the impossible. And that’s why I can walk into Cinderella Story with no fear.
A few seconds pass as Midori collects her thoughts. An observant viewer will notice that her demeanor changes a bit. Her eyes well up with a determination as peers into the camera’s lens.
Midori Miyamoto: A lot of people use the term hatred in a flippant manner. They toss it around for any and every trivial reason. They don’t understand its weight; they don’t understand its power.
There’s a brief pause in her speech.
Midori Miyamoto: But I understand its power. I understand its weight. That’s why I can sit here and truly state that I hate JUNKO. I cannot and will not appreciate a woman who has done everything in her power to oppress people and topple this promotion. JUNKO faded into the shadows after KAGUYA-Gun was defeated, and she should have stayed there. It was a mistake to allow her to walk back through these doors and pretend nothing had happened in the past—
She shakes her head.
Midori Miyamoto: But that grave mistake will soon be rectified.
Another moment passes.
Midori Miyamoto: Dogs return to their vomit, and that’s just what JUNKO is. That’s why she formed DESPERADOS, even though she witnessed the def destruction of her former group. People like her? They are incapable of changing. They are incapable of learning. And that’s why the DESPERADOS will implode and crumble, just like KAGUYA-Gun did. That implosion just needs the proper catalyst, and I can certainly provide that.
Midori nods her head.
Midori Miyamoto: JUNKO claimed that she was going to deliver a warning regarding our match at Cinderella Story. But honestly? Her words mean nothing to me. There’s nothing that she can say that will prevent me from stepping into my destiny.
She nods her head once again.
Midori Miyamoto: Winning the RISE Grand Prix was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done. Not only did I have to step into the ring and perform, but I also had to have the right mindset as well. And things didn’t end after I won it either. Event after event, I went to war with women who desired to take my place at Cinderella Story. Those matches were grueling. But I won them all. I was victorious. JUNKO? I went through hell to get the chance to beat your ass. There’s nothing you or your girls can do to stop me from getting into that ring. Absolutely nothing.
Midori’s words linger in the air for a moment as she thinks about what she wishes to speak about next.
Midori Miyamoto: At its core, this match is about restoring the balance of power within JET. However, I have other motivations—
Midori Miyamoto: My time as the JET World Champion was cut short. It was a great run, there’s no doubt about that. But I truly believe it could have been so much better. However, I was defeated by Mizuki before I could make that happen.
She pauses.
Midori Miyamoto: Me and Mizuki always find ourselves in these epic clashes. Mizuki is the Ace of this promotion, and she has been for a while. And me? I’m one of the best in JET. Some even believe that I may be in line to take that title from her. Maybe she feels that sometimes; I certainly do. And maybe that’s why our battles with one another are always so intense.
Midori Miyamoto: I spent months floating around after Mizuki beat me. I was old news in many people’s eyes. Night after night, I remember going out to that ring and fighting my heart out. But it didn’t seem like anyone truly cared. I hated that feeling, and I never wanted to experience it again. And so, I fought even harder. That’s how I got to where I am today.
She lets out a small sigh.
Midori Miyamoto: Some might say that winning the JET World Championship for the second time is a matter of redemption. Personally? I view it as getting things back on the right track. Restoring JET is first and foremost, but I’ve also got some goals of my own, like breaking Nina’s length and defense records. And to accomplish those goals? I’ll need to let go of fear and inhibitions.
Midori nods her head for the last time.
Midori Miyamoto: JUNKO? I know you believe that your reign is going to last forever. I know you believe that you’ve finally won. But like many things in your life and career, it’s all an illusion. I’m coming to put you down once again. And maybe this time, I’ll make it so that you have to stay down.
The camera fades out.

Opening Match:
Rio Kurokawa vs. Satsuki Fujioka
The former National Champion has not been in a good mood since losing the title two months ago, since then Rio wasn’t able to represent JET in becoming the first IJWF Champion and she took out frustrations on poor young girl Satsuki. None of Satsuki’s offense hit was effective as Rio Kurokawa seemed to not flinch at all when it came to strikes. When Satsuki tried to suplex Rio, she couldn’t apply a hold for the suplex and got tossed around by the former National Champion. Rio took out all of her wrath on Satsuki and finally put her out of her misery with a Ketsueki Toll for the win.
(Winner - Rio Kurokawa)
Post-match:
Rio Kurokawa seemed annoyed once she returned backstage and demanded a bigger challenger be put in front of her by management.
------
After the match, we go to JET HQ where JET President Hanako Nakamoto is looking over some paperwork before the camera asks about her about the news relating to Cinderella Story.
Hanako Nakamoto: This past calendar year has been a big year for JET. Of course the big proof of that is Cinderellla Story.
Hanako points to the promotional material for the event behind her featuring the JET Roster.
Hanako Nakamoto: So I had an idea, how about we add more to this already monumental event?
Cameraman: How so?
Hanako Nakamoto: Well, with that.
Hanako now points towards the Miss Manami Tributary Shield in the shelf of JET accolades.
Hanako Nakamoto: Well, currently the Tributary Shield has no holder. So we might as well find the trophy its new owner. As important as Goddess Dream really is, we need to look towards a brand new event for next season and that means the Tributary Shield match doesn’t have a new home. What’s better than moving the match to Cinderella Story? So the decision was made by the board to have the 2021 Tributary Shield Gauntlet match at Cinderella Story.
Cameraman: And the second piece of news?
Hanako laughs a bit before speaking, she shakes her head.
Hanako Nakamoto: That one… well, that won’t be revealed until after the RISE Together Finals. All I can reveal is that it’s a new championship for our roster to compete for. Now if you don’t mind taking your leave, I’m quite a busy woman, especially with Cinderella Story approaching.
The cameraman leaves Hanako alone as she resumes working on the documents.

RISE Together Round 1 Match:
DESPERADOS (Q and Julia Zhang) vs. Misaki Suzuki and Melissa Enders
The young pairing of Melissa and Misaki had quite a task ahead of them. They were tasked with facing the current tag champs in round one, in what people considered a mismatch. The tag champs were one of the favorites to win the tournament but it didn’t look like it at the beginning of the match as Misaki’s size advantage helped out in the early stages, even Melissa was able to get some offense in but the whole story of the match changed when the tag was made back to Misaki and DESPERADOS immediately went for the arm. It was continued assaults to the arm by DESPERADOS with Zhang using her MMA prowess to attack the arm consistently. But the young team would be able to make a valiant comeback thanks to Melissa Enders who took it to both Zhang and Q with a fiery comeback. Enders nearly won it with her older sister’s very own powerbomb to Zhang but Q was able to break it up. The finishing stretch of the match saw Misaki attempting to chokeslam Zhang who was able to counter and applying a perfect Triangle Choke before turning it into Guillotine Choke for the submission win.
(Winners - DESPERADOS)

We’re taken to the backstage area, fading into the JET banner hanging in front of the interview location set up in this venue. Standing in front of the JET banner, we’re greeted with a new face to the company. She stands around five foot, five inches and has shoulder length, straight hair. She wore a traditional sweat/track uniform with the JET logo on the left breast of the track jacket. Her eyes were focused on the camera in front of her, and on cue, she spoke.
“My name is Hinata Tatsuo, and I am very honored to be a part of the JET roster. I am the daughter of Hiroto Tatsuo, a man who was considered a legend in Sapporo’s PURORESU1. But I am not here to capitalize on his name or legacy. I may have trained with my father before his passing, but I have also put in my work as a Young Girl. I have worked my way through the Dojo, I have earned my way here.”
“I know I have a long road in front of me. JET has an incredible roster with incredible talent. I am young, I am inexperienced compared to some ... but I have heart. I have the skill to compete with each one of them and that is what I am here to do. To compete with the best Joshi’s in the world. I am here to prove to myself and the Tatsuo family that I can honor the legacy my father left ; and then make my own.”
“The Dragon Hiroto Tatsuo may no longer be with us. But this is the birth of the Neon Dragon - Hinata Tatsuo. I’ll see you soon, JET.”

Megan Enders and Talia Areano vs. Misaki Suzuki and Melissa Enders
Since the bell rings, the team of Makiya and Tani has been fired up and gets great momentum throughout the match. The former Tag Team is trying to turn up the momentum a couple of times, but Makiya and Tani seem to be able to keep up her steady momentum with their amazing teamwork. They can handle the speed of Talia by stopping her on her track and the same goes for the bigger Megan. Their quick strikes are able to overwhelm the big woman and get her down on her feet. Makiya and Tani are ready to make an upset. However, Talia and Megan's experience showing by exploiting the overly hyped opponents and turning the tide at the right moment of execution. Semi-Main/RISE Together Round 1 Match:
NAMI and Yukiko Kusanagi vs. Sora Todoh and Momoko Honda
The match itself is a solid back-and-forth match. the team of NAMI and Yukiko are getting the upper hand on the first half of the match, exploiting Sora's smaller body to execute some dirty moves from both of them.NAMI and Yukiko are getting a good teamwork by keep tagging continuously to avoid the referee's count while keep stomping Sora. Once Sora tagged Momoko, she was fired up at first, fighting off the opposing team but however Yukiko stops her track by illegally entering the match and slams Momoko to the ground while pulling her hair as NAMI provides the distraction. After a couple while, Momoko is desperately tagging to her partner while Sora can't wait to enter. Yukiko tries to prevent the tag but after she drags Momoko's feet, Momoko counters it with a stiff Enzuigiri to the face and successfully makes a tag to Sora. Sora jumps to the ring while Yukiko tags to NAMI but Sora is too fired up and just fights off NAMI at ease. A couple series of fired up combos being launched, ended with a stiff Uraken that hit directly to NAMI's face. Sora goes to end it but Yukiko saves the match by breaking the tag. Momoko comes to the rescue and brawls with Yukiko until both are thrown out from the ring. Using the commotion, NAMI starts to get fresh once again and about to hit Sora with a Running Big Boot. However Sora ducks and rebounds off the ropes to collect some speed to hit Nami with a powerful Last Surprise. Not wasting too much time, Sora gets NAMI on her feet and hits a Shinryu Suplex (Cross-arm Dragon Suplex), thus winning the match for her and Momoko
(Winners - Sora Todoh and Momoko Honda)

(Cold open: a dark undisclosed warehouse. Industrial steel walls with but a few hanging lights to brighten portions of the cold room. Shelving units lined up, a table in the middle, wooden and round with a figure silhouetted beneath the white glow. A black flag, yellows, and reds making up the logo of the DESPERADOS hung to the wall like a pirate’s Jolly Roger. Boots on the table, beside them the JET World Championship, giving us an indication of who the figure is as she speaks.)
JUNKO: Fate is a strange thing, isn’t it? Some things in life that were always meant to happen, and always will.
(JUNKO sits up in her chair, boots coming off the table, her eyes still shrouded in shadow even as her other features become more clear by the light.)
JUNKO: I hate such an idea. If we are not in control, who is? Why would we surrender control to someone else? What decides fate, and what is the point of this existence if we’re just going to be puppets on strings for it?
(She pulls up a wooden X, attached to it are thin strings that pull a featureless wooden doll onto the table, one that she makes -- albeit poorly -- across the table in front of her.)
JUNKO: It wasn’t fate that made me who I am right now. I would have been poor little Chiyoko Watanabe, a bland girl with starry-eyes wanting to make something of her life. But so weak. So pitiful. Just dancing, like a puppet, making people laugh and clap. Disposable.
(JUNKO makes the puppet drop to its knees in a heap, slowly rising with its head down before it whips its head back.)
JUNKO: But I was in control. I saw what despair was; meaninglessness. KAGUYA promised me meaning, so I followed her with her KAGUYA-Gun, but it was obvious only one person benefited from her leadership. KAGUYA. I was her puppet, on her strings… and I liberated myself. I took what I wanted. I can assure you, I was never destined to be the JET World Champion.
(JUNKO laughs a little as she makes the puppet walk its way on top of the championship belt.)
JUNKO: And yet, now I am. I took it. I took KAGUYA’s career, I took her faction and I took the prize she valued most and made it my own legacy. I took JET by storm with the DESPERADOS. But fate lands one more thing in my lap...
(JUNKO pulls the doll away from the belt, putting it on its knees again and having it slowly crawl towards the championship belt.)
JUNKO: Midori Miyamoto… JET’s favorite child… You were fated to be champion. Fated to be their diamond to shine ever-brighter. And it seems you and I are fated to encounter each other over… and over… and over again. You’ve always gotten the best of me, Midori… But now that I am in complete control… Now that I have my fate in my hands…
(JUNKO raised a pair of scissors, cutting the threads in one quick swoop to drop the puppet on its knees and face down, arm feebly reaching out towards the championship.)
JUNKO: Fate will not favor you at Cinderella Story… The JET you were champion of is decaying. The diamond is cracking. The hands of fate are tied and the world is burning down. DESPERADOS conquer all… and we rule this world now.
(JUNKO stands up, pulling the JET World Championship from the table leaving the doll alone in the spotlight from above before the lights go down, the steel sliding door slams shut. The end of this candid.)

(Intermission)
Pre-Match:
Before the entrances, HULK and Machiko were asked questions. Machiko revealed that Yuki Takigawa had suffered a small injury that forced her to pull out of the tournament, so she believed that the best replacement was HULK, a fellow powerhouse. It seemed that we learned HULK’s reason for wanting to team with Machiko as well. She desired to face Machiko in a rematch of their Rise Up New Generation match and said that both knew the prize that they were aiming for.
Main Event/RISE Together Round 1 Match:
Osoroshii (Masumi Tsutsumi and Mei Namikaze) w/ Narumi Tsutsumi vs. HULK and Machiko Hasegawa
The main event and final first-round match of JET47 saw Osoroshii, a clear favorite team to win facing off against power wrestling rivals, Machiko and HULK. It was a battle of strikes, powerful chops, and forearms from HULK and Machiko vs. the precision and speed of Osoroshii’s kicks. The whole main event was an endurance battle as each strike would affect the opposing team. This match allowed unique matchups not seen in JET such as HULK vs. Masumi and Mei vs Machiko. Despite Osoroshii being far experienced as a team, it was HULK and Machiko who had multiple attempts of winning the match including a HUGE Little Blade from HULK but Namikaze was able to break it up. Another point in the match where the two power wrestlers were in control was where Masumi was trapped in between Machiko and HULK who were nailing her with chops to the chest and back. Unfortunately, when it came time to deliver the finishing Lariat, Masumi was able to duck and HULK was the one who was hit with the Hasegawa Lariat.
From this point on it was all Osoroshii and more importantly, Mei Namikaze who got to show off all of her wrestling and what she had learned from Jaydayne Pendragon. She almost secured a win with a Shadow Kick but HULK was able to break it up. Unfortunately for the self-proclaimed Ten Tons of Steel, she was taken out by a Master Sword from Tsutsumi. This left Machiko alone and she soon fell as well to a Nitoryu from Osoroshii for the win.
(Winners - Osoroshii)
Post-Match:
(Masumi claps to honour HULK and Machiko as Osoroshii’s music fades, while Mei rests on the second rope to allow their manager Narumi into the ring. Narumi hands her sister the microphone. Narumi giddily shadow boxes in the background, hyping the intense tag team up as they pass around the microphone as they speak.)
Masumi: JET…….you honored me by deeming me the NEXT FACE of JET! And I plan to RISE TOGETHER with Mei! This means Osoroshii will be the face of JET! WHICH ALSO MEANS TAG TEAM WRESTLING WILL BE THE FACE OF JET!
Mei: Oi! Hear us, world! NO MORE SIDELINES, NO MORE FORGETTING ABOUT TAG TEAM WRESTLING! RESPECT THE CRAFT!
Masumi: We will make them respect it, Mei. We were trained from childhood to be lethal weapons. My blunt force and your cutting offence shall smash and slice through every tag team! We are Osoroshii, Oni and Kunoichi!
Mei: We started our journey some time ago, but soon we will rise together in front of everyone. This is what tag team wrestling needs, this is what company strives for. This is the vision Jaydayne Pendragon put in our minds. We are not only following his dream, but our own. RISE Together is the best measure to achieve it.
(Narumi gives Masumi her oni mask and Mei her ninja one, then dawns her own oni mask. JET closes off with the masked women of Osoroshii, Narumi hopping around them, Masumi kneeling to the ground with her fist to the mat, and Mei doing a cutthroat gesture across to neck to cut off the feed.)
